Just found your videos and a new craft that I did not know existed. First I found your dyeing rope instructions and had to follow up with your Easter baskets. Amazing well informed instructions and a new craft that I’m definitely going to try. Thank you.
So so clever. I absolutely adore the your way of showing and teaching. I’ve made several trivets and baskets. Today I’m going to “go for it” with a square basket. Thank you so much.
Crafty Patti, Happy your hand is doing well enough to make these baskets and post a video. I enjoy your work and plan to try with ombre dye effect for a basket. This will be my first, thank you for the great instructions.
I shouldn’t have done the video as I was told not to use my arm for two weeks. But I just couldn’t sit and look at the beautifully coloured rope and not do anything with it. Thanks for your supportive comment and an ombré basket would be lovely.
Thanks Noemi, Fun little projects. It’s an extra step to dye the rope but makes it so easy to make colourful rope bowls. I wanted the pastel colors for Easter but it would look real pretty with ombré coloured rope.
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts It definitely is an extra step and extra patience. Lol. But you really get custom-made beautiful crafts. One of these days. Lol. Are you going to do the hombre dye look?
I will be onto others crafts again so won’t get back to dying rope in awhile. But I kind of touched on it in the video on how to get the graduated ombré effect.
Thank you so much for your videos. I haven’t tried one of these yet, but plan to soon. Could you answer a question for me? How do people make these baskets with flat bottoms and straight sides? Is it the angle of the turn when you begin to make the sides? Thank you so much!
You are so welcome. I have published a playlist all about making rope bowls. Many videos you can watch. Here’s the link. HOW TO MAKE ROPE BOWLS ruclips.net/p/PLp6o7Vy1aS_X3YAB8rzu2g01VwfZ67gEg
I have just discovered you and am so inspired by your creativity. Your directions are so easy to follow. I've tried some of your rope baskets And love how they have turned out. So fun and very addictive. Just a quick question. ..what color of thread did you use for your easter Creations? It seemed to blend with all the color changes do well. I can't wait to try it. Thanks
Thanks so much Sharon. Glad you have found me and are enjoying my videos. I used pink thread for my top stitching and I had a light purple in my bobbin. Have fun making lots of baskets!
I dyed the rope with Rit dye. I also published a video on how to dye macrame cord and rope. So here’s the link to that video if you want to take a look. ruclips.net/video/Pvovf4qlLKI/видео.html

Patti: love your videos. You used pink thread...how did you choose what color thread to use on your Easter bowls?
Thanks for watching Kate! The shade of pink was not too light and not too dark. In between a yellow and a dark purple.

It’s so exciting to connect with people all over the world! Hello in Nairobi! Thanks for watching my channel!
How did you make the mini bowls?
Same as any rope bowl but just bring up your sides right away to make little shallow bowls.
@@CraftyPattiArtsCrafts what size base did you use? Title says mini but you didn't do any?
No you are right. I did not show any in video as I thought they were pretty easy. Maybe a 1” base and then form your sides right away.
Where do you get the colored rope? What is your source?
I dyed the rope with Rit dye. I also published a video on how to dye macrame cord and rope. So here’s the link to that video if you want to take a look. ruclips.net/video/Pvovf4qlLKI/видео.html
