He would have won American Idol, The Voice, AGT, and could have saved X Factor from death. This show was so under-marketed. I hope he makes it big.
That's the same I've been thinking since I saw him on tv, he could've won any other talent or singing competition and become a well superstar known super star in no time, but with this low rating show it will take more time for this guy to reach that level. Hopefully he makes it far so that everyone in the u.s and in the world can hear this incredible talent.

+satexguy1 I looked into what happened to him. Apparently, after getting a deal with a major label as the result of winning the show, the suits running the place told him that he has to make pop or country music and that rock had no future, Jesse disagreed and they parted ways.

The fact that this man still has not gotten recognition is outrageous to me. Battled cancer and still comes out on top. There are not many (if any) artist out there that have this type of talent. Bring Jesse back!

Safe to say that this is my favorite audition, and even performance in general, on any singing competition show. He is truly unreal. That voice is hypnotic. I miss this show...

I’m not even kidding when I say it is 2024 and I still think about this show and this performance all the time. I think about his version every time I listen to this song. I don’t know how he didn’t become the next great rock star (or how the show didn’t last, it was 1000x better than Idol). ❤️🔥

+Chris Padge You should listen to the original song. Screaming Jay Hawkins was the original singer.
When you listen to both, you see how Jesse does a great job at paying homage to the original singer, but adding his own twist. Great job all around though.

Originals are not always best. Look at all the songs Ella Fitzgerald recorded. Many of them had been recorded years before she sang them, One specific example: Elvis' version of Blue Suede Shoes was far better than that of Carl Perkins who wrote and first recorded it. Jesse Kinch is pretty good but... Actually, I reckon Casey Abrams' version to be the best of the lot, better than Screamin' Jay's - and I'm definitely not a person for whom Casey can do no wrong. However, this allows Casey to scream away very appropriately with that crazy voice of his.
I remember I wasn't paying attention and I left the app to do something else on my phone. Then he came on and I dropped my phone on my face in shock

After hearing him talk with his soft spoken voice this is NOT what I expected! I was blown away and he definitely put a spell on me, all right. The second he started singing, I got CHILLS. I been watching his performance over and over lol. It's gonna be pretty hard to top a voice like his, I'm surprised Mary Kate got a higher vote than him.

i met this guy in person, he came into my job as a custoner and honestly he was reallt sweet and very friendly!

I remember watchin this that night, when Jesse started singing I damn near jumped through the roof. Never forget that feeling, chills down the spine and just glued to every note. Reminded me so much of SRV. And the fact that the show seemed to be rigged for the girl out of the crowd, if it was, they definitely wasn't expecting a monster like Jesse to show up.
