I've loved this song for so many years but this rendition has me totally captivated. The raspy voice and the brilliant piano playing and the interaction with the judges make this performance so magical. I just loved it.

I am listening in Nov 2021. Anyone else feel that all over? Omg he knows what he is doing! It is like the foot which has trigger points to specific places in the body. His voice is an explosion of triggers all over. I love Jeremy's voice.

De vreo jumatate de secol, una dintre marile mele bucurii, a fost muzica (ce banal, oare cine n-a fost facut fericit de sunetul muzicii, chiar daca nu si-a dat seama?!).
Dar iata ca, de peste mari, dintr-o tara parca sortita muzicii, un om umil, pe nume Jeremy Ragsdale, ne bate in usa cantandu-ne din tot sufletul sau "I have nothing".
Dupa primele note, am inceput sa nu-l mai cred, deoarece, cum vad, el chiar are totul: un bun simt iesit din comun, o modestie exemplara si o sinceritate care izvorasc dintr-un talent unic: acela de a fi OM adevarat.
Statele Unite ar trebui sa se mandreasca cu un asemenea OM, iar noi, ar trebui sa ingenunchem in fata lui si a talentului sau.

This is an incredible version of the song as was Nina Simone's version but this song was originally written and performed by "Screamin' Jay" Hawkins in 1956. If you haven't heard it, give it a listen. By far my favorite and most entertaining version.

I am not typical fan guys do the mighty Nina simone. But i am sure she would of gave you thumbs up. Fantastic tone of voice. That lady had more soul then just about anyone in history. One of a kind talent. Great stuff.
