I've heard calypso in the USVI, when I was living in Puerto Rico. But I never even heard of soca before. I like it though.

I remember buying Olatunji's album from him back in day when he used to sell his own stuff by walking around in malls in Trinidad. Been a fan of his artistry since then! I'm also inspired by his drive and subsequent progression!

You know it's really nice to see that M.M and Bunji both were there to celebrate Olatunji. I always loved him and this performance was just sheer brilliance. For a well known soca artist must have been a humbling experience to perform in front of an audience who doesn't know him. He is a superstar in T&T. Trinis are fantastic people ❤️

The first time i saw this i was like...why do they like ola performance so much while i found it was normal. It may be normal to us Trinis 🇹🇹 becaue we're accustomed to it but it was magnificent to everyone else and thats what make us unique and different our vibes, music, culture, our happiness and ways. 💜 Love to you all.
