- I made this back in the summer over two weeks and 12 videos. I have condensed all 12 videos to one single 45 minute video. This is for anyone who is interested in building a drift trike for themselves, to know exactly what goes into making one.

You are working yourself hard using that Dremel tool. You need a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder with cut off and grinding wheels.

Do you have any tips or ideas? I’m starting a go cart for the kids from a frame this pre-built and looking for my first welder machine.
Lincoln 140hd I think that’s what it’s called. That’s a wire feed welder and if you haven’t welded before that’s a good choice. I also use a TIG welder from Eastwood I really like and it works as a stick welder as well. Good luck

If you are putting pcv sleeves on the wheels cut a lot, they go fast

I never added it up but it seems like it was around $1000 that’s pretty expensive in my opinion

Over $1000. Axle kit, wheel hubs and tires, battery, engine, throttle, seat, Plus the cost of metal which you may be able to get at a scrap yard

Do you know measurements of the frame by chance
I built it for me I’m 5’5” So a larger or smaller person may need different measurements
Looks like the axle is about 39 inches, the whole length is around 80 inches that includes the front wheel,the foot rest is 28 inches,the frame where the seat is attached is 26x26 and the center support that runs under the seat to the place where I attached the front half of the bicycle is 24 inches

Was that your first build of a motorized vehicle you should not have put the axle on the top of the frame they go underneath they're more stable that way
The frame goes under the axle on a drift trike
They are NOT!more stable under the frame.
