Yes, the serious depression really does get in the way of being productive. What helps me is getting a lot of sleep, first, Exercise helps. And, then, the hard part is pushing through and do one thing at a time. One thing accomplished is better than nothing.
Thanks Chase, so on my little notes I wrote down for myself: - shift expectations -decrease fear level by visualizing targets -I am the butler of my future - repetition leads to discipline. Just do it. Valuable input, thanks for sharing✨☝🏻🙏🏻👌🏻 -
Thank you for the RUclips video referral, @Chase Hughes. @12:38 When Steven Kuhn mentioned being suicidal and depressed. As a veteran dealing with PTSD, I empathize. This is a process. Some days breathing feels like an effort. I think everyone has a different motivation. There's no one-size-fits-all approach.
FANTASTIC! Down to earth practical advice for anyone with a brain. I was getting so tired of the BS "law of attraction" "channeling" non-sense. Thank you Chase Hughes!
My notecard improved my productivity and satisfaction with my job when I spent a few minutes at the end of the day listing my work for the next day in priority order. The next day starts by working through the list instead of wasting half a day on stuff that wasn't important enough to make the list had I made one the day before.
Wish I found this 12 months ago! The ability to explain complex theories and strategies in a simple way takes genuine expertise. An absolute diamond. Thanks for sharing.
Ive been doing the butler thing since I was in my twenties, by myself. I do it now for all the rest of my family. I also believe routine is key. Thank you for this explanation and it does work.
This is so helpful! Today was a hard day news wise and I was feeling discouraged. This was the best Chase Hughes interview I’ve seen and the specific steps are excellent. Thank you.
This is so true! It's an inspiring mindset shift to think of doing things for your future self, even if you can't find the determination within to do it for your present self. ♥ Once, when I was in university, I woke up hungover to find a Gatorade and an Advil on my bedside table ready to go, with a note saying: *"Here you go, future me!! Love, drunk me."* ♥
Ivy Lee method which is over a hundreds years is what Chase is talking about when planning ahead. 1) List 6 major goals 2) List 6 steps you are going to do today to further those goals 3) Order the steps in order of priorities. 4) Complete a step before moving on to next step 5) Incomplete steps are carried forward.
Anyone ever heard the term "self-fulfilling prophecy"? I've experienced this before when I was going through some things at work. My fear made me paranoid and affected my responses. My responses affected my workplace relationships and exacerbated my situation at work. I realized this after I was out of the situation. I wish I'd been rational enough at the time to see it.
My dad was in the US Marine Corps during WW II. He used to say in the Marine Corp it was "Hurry up and wait". So it made me smile when that military phrase was mentioned.
The Honda Accord example is so, so good! When I was pregnant, suddenly all girls where too, then my son was born and in my mind, my city had more playgrounds than buildings. I love my animal brain.
Something that came to mind while practicing and thinking about these techniques is, “what are we doing when we tell ourselves we can do it in our head instead of spending physical resources in the world outside of our body?”. Chase you have me thinking about priorities versus emotions, first principles and how seriously I take them. Cheers.
I’m going to get my husband to watch this! He’s the one who has to go out and work in SF and Bay Area all the time. He was in the Marine Corps. It’s one thing when it comes from a wife of 26 years and another to come from you all! LOL 🤪🤣👍🏻👏🏻 I wish I had found this long ago! Thanks everyone! Greg should get his own channel! But I don’t know how you all even find the time! I’m trying to be empathetic towards my husband. He hasn’t had a lot of loss in his life and hasn’t developed skills to cope as much as I have and I am not the bread winner! My husband has high expectations! He hates to sit around and be idle! The red tape and extra steps he must take have him feeling he’s loosing control over things. Masks! Oy! He hates them! This is not going to be this way forever. Until then I’ll get him to watch this somehow! LOL If we want to be happy we have to get real! 👍🏻
Wow, great explanation on how your brain works. I figured out years ago I needed to 'wash' my own brain and guard what I allowed to be put in it. This is an excellent reminder to keep doing that.
Chase I’m going to follow your advice. It’s not new info but I ve veered off thru the yrs. It’s a new day. Fear has paralyzed me as I’ve gotten older. Where did I go???? I’m following to the letter your advice. This makes so much sense. Esp the vision board. I’m very visual so I know this will work to unstuck me along with being my own butler. Love this. I look forward to all of your RUclips posts. God bless you!
Best instant transport me there, idea? "Oh Chase is really gonna love this." I laughed out loud cuz I can totally see myself doing this. Third person imagination stuff is such a great tool. And neat idea. So glad I saw this.
Thank you for this presentation. I find it effective to use the 3rd person statements and the writing down the vision for one's plan. If I want change, I must take a look at my habits as they are very telling! Thank you again-- I am up early today and that is a good thing.
Very good advice Chase. My husband, a professor, does the clothes-ready, set up the coffee guy. I am more of a "free spirit", and often pay the price for my disarray.
In my experience it is not just the 'thought' that creates a potential reality, but the feeling the thought produces within us.. So fear then creates limitation, and a spiral of negative thinking and that creates a contraction in the body and results in a narrow perspective, rather than greater or infinite possibilities. When we envision something that brings us excitement when we imagine it that is part of what creates that as a possible outcome. E- motion and thought, together. To create a vision of something and think it, or imagine it, we also need to be open to receive it. Mind and heart working together. I'm just say'n.
Thank you Chase 😊, I respect and love your thoughts on Behavior Panel. Your insights here today are a lifeline that I need to share with two of my adult children ( one is in another country largely in lockdown due to their COVID policy). What you have said here is so succinct and profound. I can easily write down these thoughts (for myself, I used to prepare the night before, it was positive and powerful, it set the day). I used to be so faithful with lists; at the top of the list was the hardest thing/most annoying to tackle, but after that everything else was easier. 💎 But the real gems in what you said, are the things that I’ve never thought of before, definitely not the way you explained them. Thank you so much for sharing this powerful, information. Bye the way-you are my favorite on the Behavior Panel-I connect the most with your insights and positions. Thank you so much, it’s 5/21/22 now
It's so interesting to me, Chase, that you would understand yourself as a Butler and your future self is the priority and yet you don't see origins from/of God you see evolution. We ARE a 3 part being!
P. S. Praying you see, seek and align with Christ Jesus for yourself and your family as/AND We ARE ("butlers") STEWARDS of time unto eternal life, either in heaven or hell THERE'S ONLY 2 eternal destinations. ❤💟

Having kids makes the sleep part real hard 🤣
“Becoming your own butler leads you to being a badass.”
Genuine words of advice; I will try to implement this mindset going forward 👍

The smile I have on my face if I get up and find my breakfast already prepared. Thank you for this, not only good for Covid, but for life in general.

Awesome Chase! 3 selves! It makes everything sooo easy now! All we have to remember is our future self! 🙏🙏 thank you!
Chase's knowledge, insight, wisdom invaluable.
Most insightful person ever. Thank you
6:25 - 7:40 I am so stuck in my ways. I actually re-watched this time frame to truly being able to absorb it.
Wow ! Chase Hughes, Radio Voice...lol !! You are so awesome !

cool how the interviewers sit quietly and let the guest talk.

Can we just appreciate the way Chase casually and unapologetically has a pistol AR holding his books on the shelf?
Exactly what I needed at this very moment! Tks💜
You're not what you think you are; what you think, you are.
Love that you are repurposing these for your newsletter. Smart.
Thank you Chase - life changing advice. I loved your latest book too. Can't wait for Phrase 7 to come out in TV series. Keep em coming. 🇦🇺
Can we get the link to the works collection of Chase
When you write it down you are "brain writing." I've been using the index cards for years. Writing it down puts it into your long term memory.

Chase’s brilliant approach to developing discipline is legend. 🙌🙌🙌 Thank you for this great insight.

Great stuff! I always learn so much! But I don't see the link to the free book! I have always wanted one of your books but I could never afford them!
I listened & was immediately inspired. I immediately sent the video to my son, daughter & husband ✌🏻

Chase, are you referring to ALL depression including true chemical type depression like low serotonin?
great info!
Girlfriend!! Dammit!:)
youcrazycat1 sure!
Was thinking the same thing haha
I know!!
youcrazycat1 you could hear a hundred thousand hearts breaking. 😞
I don't get it, can someone explain?
You're right, Chase, according to me! 😆 Shakespear quipped it like this (as if you didn't know), "Expectation is the root of all heartache!"
my brain:ok lets watch some videos and just chill. My brain also:what the hell!Me:shut up and lets finish the work.😉🤣
... How do you know i'm over here eating boxes of cereal.... LOL
Almost sounds like the Law of Attraction.... :)
Can you please link the free book? I’m really interested in checking it out. Thank you so much
I think of myself as my future selves slave.... Butler sounds better LOL
Hmm, too bad Chase's link is broken. Great interview though!
Is there nothing to fear but fear itself? This seems to be the realm of philosophy..
I recognized that this video is a year old. Is that the link to Chase’s site and book is unavailable?
Excellent, as always.
