My dad has tons of go pro footage from deployments and in one of the vids that stuck out the prayer is happening and then it goes quiet and then all hell broke lose and there is tons of gunshots into the air. He said that’s how they use to get their morning started

Il never forget the first time i heard a call to prayer in iraq.

@@xDirtyGlockI’ve only been told from my elders, but from what I ascertain, it’s a combined mixture of fecal matter, rotting meat and burning plastic.
This reminds me of Insurgency2014 playing the map Tell. You hear the distant “allaaaaaaah akbar” prayers.
I was in Afghanistan, 2019. The war was supposed to be all but over by then. I ended up getting injured in the last month of the deployment; long story short, I survived a 60 foot fall and broke 96 bones, had to spend 8 months in Landstuhl getting put back together and taught how to walk and talk again. I was discharged from the army 16th August, 2021, after three years, a distinguished flying cross w/ valor, 2x ARCOM, 1w/ valor, 4x AAMs, and I got ALL of that, just being a blackhawk crew chief and door gunner. two weeks later and it all went to shit.
I have never felt more defeated than watching it all fall apart, knowing I was crippled for life, for absolutely no good reason. We didn't help those people, not one bit, we just fucked things up, and gave the Taliban more excuses to brutalize the Afghani people as a whole. I can barely walk, barely stand for more than an hour at a time, stutter and stammer when I speak, and it was utterly, completely pointless.

Thanks for your service cobber, I'm current in the process of enlisting in the Australian army Royal Australian Regiment to be specific, thank you for the sacrifices you made for not only your country of service but the world as a whole as pointless of a operation it may have been you still put everything on the line and almost the ultimate sacrifice.

@@tonyespinoza3891 0311 2005-2010 Afghanistan.. lost alot part of me died there...came home everyone so proud all I could hear is the wounded cry and the silence of the dead...home state side woman I'm about to marry moving on with my life first time was happy in along time.. she was pregnant and we had a son. Going to movies and Chinese for family out...I looked at her and smiled said I love you... saw the headlights through her window just before impact...was hit by a drunk driver running from the police. When I woke up I had be life flighted and was in icu. I lost my wife amd both my children that day.....I went. Home in a wheel chair I hated it. I would crawl everywhere and pick my body up...then pain...it was everywhere.. I talk myself how to walk.. later I tried to start my grands old 86 f250 working on it the jack slipped and truck fell on me. The neighbor lady screaming omg and wouldn't shut up... I screamed just kick the jack to me. With my other arm I jacked the truck off me... left arm broken and a 2 inch long by maybe 1 inch gash in my flesh. Set my own arm and got out the med box cleaned it then sewed wounds up. Lady freaking out saying I'm crazy calls cops...cops and ambulance shows up... I said I'll drive myself it's like I speak Chinese to them..bastards! I put the tire back on grandfather old truck. I had just put a starter in it. She started perfect. Then I drove myself to the hospital. After x rays I had a broken arm.. so I put my arm in a sling.. neighbor lady she 32 city girl don't know why she here in the country. Drinking with my revolver. I figure get it over with so I can finally be in Peace. I won't have to suffer anymore I won't have to think about my babies and I I lost alot of friends back there...I left a will house land barn and signed all my titles... I hope this lady(neighbor lady) gets it...I tired very tired going to get some sleep now..now you can kinda understand why I am?? Or what is left of me..

I am 40 an was not in the military. I put this on my headphones lastnight fell asleep with this ish blairing. The sound when the jets flew over an bombed made me jerk up out of my sleep i threw my phone an headphones 😅😅😅 scared the ish outta me.

What PMCs who were from every country? You realize US troops were operating under strict ROE in Afghanistan. It caused a lot of US soldiers to die because of it. No one gave a shit about PMCs because they didn't operate under ROE and would shoot anyone on sight if they came near a FOB. We would specifically send PMCs out to get fucked by the enemy because they were Canon fodder and no one cared about em. PMCs caused war crimes US soldiers rarely did. Quit acting like you know us when you don't. You didn't serve you weren't in combat and you weren't deployed over there. You typed this from your comfy chair while men and women did what they thought was right. Wasn't even a loss either we successfully occupied Afghanistan for 20 years. Insurgents would flee after 15 mins of a firefight because they were cowards. Go back to being a keyboard warrior Karen.
