I ordered mine yesterday and seeing this makes me even more excited. Not sure why I keep buying them as one is really all I need but having eight of them just seems better.

I totally understand, it's an addiction.

Mine's coming on Thursday. I do hope they release a normal version of this though, so I can put micarta plus scales on it. The toolset is basically perfect for me. The nail file on my cadet gets used all the time as a pretty good small philips.

It will be released as a normal version with red cellidor scales. I'll talk more about the new tool at that moment.

😘 I think I may be in love with this knife I hope it doesn't sell out before I get one think the package opener might be a big selling point anyway time will tell.

Yes but this model will come out in regular 91mm range with red cellidor scales.

A pity the file wasn't a three-sided metal file/saw. Would still have been usable as a nail file, but the extra utility would have made this knife a very nice choice.

It's quite similar to my custom Cadet X, which only lacks the awl, hook, and keyring, but is much thinner. I even modified the can opener so it works as a hook knife. It's pretty much EDC perfection and I sure wish Victorinox made it from the factory.

It's a very good knife, but CRAZY price

It's the limited edition. I'm hoping for a more affordable cellidor version in the future. But probably still pricy compared to more common models because of the new tool.

🎉thx for the video. I must agree don´t like the pattern on the wood scales. Do like the tools😊. From the range the Explorer is the nicest one. But i dont have it 😢

I was hoping you would show the new tool in action, and tell us what you think ?
Is the new tool useful, does it perform as advertised, should Victorinox include it on more models ?

I'm planning to do so don't worry. This model will come out for 91mm range in red cellidor scales. I'm waiting for this moment to talk more thoroughly about the new tool. But I can say I've tried it and it's a very useful tool I think.

Happy Sunday Guillaume, thank you for the new video review of the 2023 Swiss Spirit Companion model. To be honest I will not be buying one as I dislike wooden handles on knives in general with the exception of the classic Buck 110 folding hunter & 112 ranger with their elegant well polished Mahogany handles. I think Victorinox using a light colored Walnut & then laser etching a hard to recognize pattern on them simply does not look good, makes them look dirty & used from the outset and add to that the natural faults in the wood grain (as on yours) simply makes me say "sorry Victorinox you made a bad choice of handle material for the 2023 Swiss Spirit!" The only Swiss Spirit model that I own is the elegant 2020 Explorer model, I passed on the 2022 Cadet as for me a Cadet is an Alox model & the 2022 84mm celidor Cadet is more like a 84mm Recruit with a nail file instead of a small 2nd blade. The new package opening tool looks good & I won't miss the can opener as I have long been of the opinion that the Wenger claw shaped can opener is much easier to use than the Victorinox one & according to SAKWiki between 1945 and 1951 Victorinox supplied their Officer's models with a can-opener almost identical to the Wenger can-opener, pity they stopped using it as the screw driver tip is not practical for regular use. As for the new Evoke Alox series, they look good but I really don't need a large 136mm single blade model costing around $120 as I find even the 130mm RangerGrip series too large for pocket carry & I dislike pouch carry on my belt (I have a RangerGrip 79 unused - an impulse buy when it was sold by my local Victorinox dealer at a 50% discount). Its a pity they have not added Thumb Stud opening to models in the 111mm series & even some 93mm Alox models & 91mm models. All the best, Steve in Tel Aviv.

Happy sunday Steve, I understand your point of view and furthermore this year the etching on the scales is not really beautiful.
      All the best From Nice.

I don't know if I will purchase this model after buying the 2022 Super Tinker Winter Magic in Walnut Wood. The picture was far better than the real life version which doesn't happen to me very often with Victorinox; I am usually more impressed when I see them in real life than in pictures but that wasn't the case. The finish around the screwdriver notch was terrible and I agree they are pretty ugly to me. Shame because they are a good concept. Thanks for posting.
