Joshua Colley as Gavroche
Following the tour, the new production with the revamped sets and costumes made its way to Broadway with a few extra changes. After hit Les Miserables 2012 movie, for the Broadway and Toronto productions they also changed Gavroches lines in Look Down, as in the film. And it sounds great!

WHEN HE FLIPPED HIM OFF I SCREAMED HAHHA
same...
same XD
I was in happy shock
Maggie Kandt. that just shows what little pepole can do
Maggie Kandt HELLO MY SMOL CHILD CASUALLY JUST FOUND YOU HERE
I think it is a nice touch how they sort of cradle him and hold him so gently after he is shot, because it reminds you that really, he was only a child. He was trying to be mature and brave and grown up like the rest of them and they all adored him, you can tell. This acting is incredible. My heart breaks.
Lady Natalie I really like your perspective on the scene
Bless this child PROTECT HIM AT ALL COSTS
i think hes so beautiful for this world...
Kinda ironic considering 3:34 *cough*
Sarah's Songs So basically just don’t post the second attack right?
Never mind, they did
Sarah's Songs He's a big boy now
Gavroche is always such a scene stealer. I love Joshua Colley; his pipes are insane and I hope to see him in a major Broadway role eventually. I actually saw Athan Sporek as Gavroche on Broadway (x3), he had the perfect mix of adorableness and cheekiness in his Gavroche portrayal.
Does he get castings from movies? He is not quite popular now
I want to play Gavroche but ima girl
Should I still try to audition?
@@fvkdontfollow he played in the movie Senior Year

I JUST EXPERIENCED SO MANY EMOTIONS SO QUICKLY JOSHUA IS SO PERFECT IM DYING SEND HELP
so sad when he die...
Diana spoilers...
not really, if you know the story you know that gavroche dies. it is a very sad scene
Angelina Novak I was joking.
This boy is perfect. When he was shot in the final scene my heart almost broke and I almost began crying
It's the eyes I swear. He has the biggest doe eyes and it's adorable
you can see the second that josh notices the camera in the second clip and keeps glancing back at it
Sofia Bravo It's like you are making eye contact with him during the show! (Not really, but I like to think so)
tru tru now i can say that i have made eye contact with josh colley
What second clip?
@@davesteven2409 the second time he appears.
yes! people alwasy say you can't see the audience when you're on stage, but you really can... your eyes adjust to the lights on stage
if josh was eligible for a tony pretty sure he wouldve got it
★ Froggie Animation ★ he can but he wasn't nominated
The youngest person to win a Tony was 10 years old

his lifeless fall into the guys arms was so sad
I'm sorry but the "NOOOOO!!!" at the end kills me everytime
"VIVE LA FRANCE!!!!!!!!"
"LONG LIVE US!!!!!!!!"
"LISTEN EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!"
"LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I'm pretty sure one of the requirements to play Gavroche is having the ability to violently yell half his lines.
😉
Yep
I watch it yesterday and the kid didn't yell them 😕
Can you tell me what is that musical??
@@mjhg2608 "The kid didn't yell them" yes he did lmao, he literally screamed those parts"
Ilmbfz Rlm Les Miserables on Broadway💞
I saw him on Broadway and died when he flipped off Javert. And when they handed him to Grantaire..OMG. Also Grantaire in this can be very funny, I saw him at the D'ysquith family and it was awesome
1:06 he knows you're filming, he knows
Katja Frandsen this comment made me laugh a lot 😂
Katja Frandsen lol
I once seen an interview where a Broadway performer said although they can’t physically see people in the audience due to lighting etc, they can see the little red blinking light when people record on cameras so I wonder if maybe that’s what he was looking at in this video 😂
H e k n o w s
Its the thumbnail lmao
Joshua is amazing! He sings so well and by what I've seen he's an amazing actor. He doesn't play a bunch of the same character, by that I mean he can play people with different personalities and that can be challenging especially for someone so young.
ikr...hes a very good actor.
3:45 looks like a painting
NJAY8/16/08 TRUE
NJAY8/16/08 yeah
Lmao true!
2:35 I LIIIIIIIIVE
I've never been into Les Mis that much but that makes me want to watch the whole thing. Does anyone know where the full show is?
You can get the 25th anniversary concert :) Or download it. It's amazing, except that they cast Nick Jonas as Marius, and he can't sing as well as he should for that role.
potato I know this comment is from a year ago but there’s a full boot from this production vimeo.com/99953998
Hope it works/helps
@@Emma324 IS THIS WITH RAMIN KARIMLOO AND JOSHUA COLLEY?
sandyespinoza35 YEP. And Andy mientus and Nikki m James and Kyle scatliffe and everyone else in that cast
okay he's such a perfect lil bean here. his performance in this vid is spot-on.
I would give all of my limbs to be able to sing like this
@@katbarrera3584 why?
'Why is he American?!'
This is an American production, honey
His voice is getting so deep now
I saw this cast a couple years ago and it killed me! It killed me again seeing this! At the end when Gav dies, he is given to Grantaire! I'm pretty sure I was really happy when I saw it because in the book, Grantaire and Gavroche are total buddies.
Thank you for this... amazing how he packs so much talent and such a large voice into so small a body...
JoelSez it only goes to show what little people can do!
AND LITTLE PEOPLE KNOW
When little people fight
Of course the death of gavroche is always tragic, but it's much more so when he dies alone, while still on the ground with the dead soldiers.
IKR...this scene is different....and they cut the Little people song too...
I feel like it was more sad because he was so close to being safe
Leah_Croissant that was grantaire. Grantaire and Govroche in the book are super close.
Leah_Croissant ugh. If I’m correct, he’s handed to courfeyrac in the 2012 movie too. I hate it! The two have no interaction in the book. Lol
I literally thought about this when I first heard his voice! I hadn't seen this, and didn't know he had done it, and I though "WOW he should be Gavroche!! He'd be perfect!" Aaaand, he is perfect!
The death has me chills
hannah stevens same
I know I can feel my stomach get butterflies every time I see him die
I love how he looked straight into the camera
Colley is such an actor - he can portray emotion so well, he has the best belts, and he knows how to let the music compliment his voice and let his voice complement the music. Very mature complexity for his age at these performances, and also now as he’s entered his teenage years.
When he fell into the mans arms I cried so hard 😭😭
Joshua is so talented. It's crazy!
John Rapson's scream at the end. Chilling.
He is so good!! I've listened to this a thousand times!!
wAIT WAIT WA I T JUST A SECOND JOSH COLLEY WAS PART OF LITERALLY MY FAVOURITE CAST OF LES MIS In e ED TO SIT DOWN
probably 10th time watching this this morning and i'm still sobbing
He is the best Gavroche
the death of gavroche is always tragic and sad, but i still prefer the scene when he died alone...
Thank you so much for posting this 🙌🏼
I was looking for a clip of him as Gavroche back when I first saw the miscast Schuyler Sisters video, but I couldn't find it 😂
hes just amazing...
This has actually made my life thank you so much for posting this
Haha, it's amazing to see how this boy improved in his role from 2012-2014 and how the updated the lyrics along with the cine film! :D
i sobbed when he died i can't i can't i need moral support
JOSHHHHHH
Gavroche's death still gets me every time
I had never seen this play. Then I watched this, and when he died....I thought the guy that touched him had powers and killed him. 😂 I'm so stupid. 😂
hahhahah....
Lmao 😂😂😂😂
Omg 🤣🤣
Hes amazing.
I just discovered this actor and I know he’s much older now but in this clip I think this may be the best Gavroche I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen Les Miz at least a half dozen times 😅
He is amazing! Omg. And when he died 😢
so sad...
Joshua Colley is brilliant he has that charisma and proud and outspoken personality that Gavroche needs, his pitches are just AMAZING and he's a brilliant actor. If that's not a Broadway star I don't know what is!
I saw Josh 5 or 6 times. I really miss the show, I only got to the revival 13 times.
Only 13? I didn't see it at all.
13 is a big number so yeah
Only?
i've watched this video like 848 times
OMGG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!! I've been trying to find Josh as Gavroche and I couldn't find it anywhere
AHHHH!!! I'm squealing so much, I love him as Gavroche 😍😍😍
3:37 it makes it look so real by how limp he went, it just made me start full out srying
Josh did a great job, but is no one going to talk about Grantaire's scream at the end and how heart breaking it was? I for one loved seeing the contrast of him going from such a light hearted character to a broken and shattered one. It really showed the cost of their revolution and how being in it was affecting each of the students.
And the tears start flowing.
2:40 the way he walks away, I can’t 🥺😂😭😭
Omg I needed this😍
Good acting joshua
Listening to this on repeat his voice is so good
I can't believe that was only 2 1/2 years ago....
2:25 Can we just appreciate how good he sounds here?
THE VIBRATO 😍
His screams are beautiful.
At 1:06 I just think “uh oh! You’re caught!”. Lol
Am I crying? Yes.
A LEGEND!!! He's incredible and that stage directing was incredible
2:39 IM DEAD!!! OML! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 WHAT A SAVAGE! 😂😂😂😂 but I feel like Joshua used his pointer finger. 🤔🤔🤔 either way it's rlly funny! 😂😂😂😂😂
Pets Channel and the smirk he has on his face after ward...😂🤣. I find it hilarious that the guy looks at him twice when he does it.
I don't know why Lil joshua as gavroche shouting "VIVE LA FRANCE" gives me such a powerful feeling but it does and I'd just like to thank him for that
Joshua my adorable cinnamon roll
Awww he’s so cute awwwwww such a cute little thing awww
I'm almost crying
Ah, this is so amazing! I love Joshua, have been looking for clips of him in les mis for a while, so thank you so much for this! You don't happen to have the entire bootleg?
I'm still surprised that he never played Bruce in Matilda.
I did. Not on broadway though. It was for a large community theatre in my area this past november and december 2019
This is so cool and I really want the part it’s so much fun
When he dies, he's hat still stay on his head.... I can't even jump with holding my hat on my head... 😅💪🏻💪🏻

2:41 i live for this
He was my Gavroche on Broadway!
omg when he falls foreword it is so sad
I swear every time he screams ("viv le france!") i get chills
Okay, Joshua is amazing, but seriously, that black guy is a giant.
Having only ever seen the 10th Anniversary Concert, until I saw this clip a year or two ago I had no idea Gavroche was as large a part as it is.
Perfectly cut screams.
Very good
2:39 I'M CRYING SO HARD
Omg I love this!!! Was that Earl Carpenter as Javert😂 does anyone have the full show?
I usually greatly dislike Gavroche, but this guy is so adorable
I LOVED WHEN HE DID THE BRAS D'HONNEUR IN "THE BEGGARS" AAAGH
2:38 kills me....😂😂😂😂
