Here's another way to tie a cased October caddis larva.
The Limnephilidae is a family of caddisflies, which are aquatic insects belonging to the order Trichoptera. They are commonly found in freshwater habitats such as streams and rivers. Caddisflies in the family Limnephilidae are known for constructing protective cases made of various materials like sand, pebbles, and/or plant debris. These cases provide camouflage and protection for the larval stage of the caddisfly.

Fantastic pattern and instruction!!
Thank you
Really good looking - Gary LaFontaine would be proud. Clever trick using pheasant tips for the legs, very realistic looking. I tend to prefer soft hackles, though, to get a little more movement, in currents. Though there's no way to quantify any fish catching difference - we're just here to have fun.
Thank you.
spectacular execution.. there's a lot of class here..congratulations to you great builder😎😎😎👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you very much for the words. 🤜🤛

Thank you, Alex. It was fun. The best part was collecting sand and gravel from the creek 😃 😀 😄
Just got back from the Beaverkill river, saw the exact same thing live with the caddis emerging from casing! Awesome !
Amazing 👏 👏 Love seeing it live.

😊огонь 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🙌 🙌 🙌
Love it, but the constant focus adjusting of the camera is a bit nauseating.
Tell me about it
Soooo with all them rocks it floats??😂😂lol
Like a cork 😁
@@fishablerealisticfliesdavehise what was it that u used to hold the rocks on
@@dannydecare2116 silicone sealant.
@dannydecare2116 the stream gravel is definitely cheaper than Tungsten Beads. 🤣
Thank you for your kind words.
Take me out to the ball game
Take me out with the crowd
Buy me some peanuts and crackerjack
I don't care if I never get back
