No industry exposure in MGM. What all are your options?? What is your rank?? SRship is rare as colleges are saturated and no SR availability in MP. They give you MO or PHC role post MD.

Apart from a few medical colleges in India which have HPLC or spectrometry in pharmacology department, there is nothing much codependency going on between pharmacology and clinicals. Nothing against this video. But please let’s not paint an unnecessary rosy picture for the upcoming PG aspirants

In my dept , we have ELISA , SPECTROPHOTOMETER, HPLC through which definitely we come to diagnosis and my person of saying that was a general statement that para clinical branches help you with diagnosis through certain tests and reports !! And fortunately my branch gives out the drugs for the diseases !! Definitely I'm not putting any rosy picture! But just if (PG resident) you are interested in research, trials , drugs and academics then Pharmacology branch is best for you! Obviously no branch is perfect! It's the person who takes it can make a change !! As GRG always says - bande mein dum hota h , branch mein nhi !! So it's better we encourage the aspirants who are interested!! Best wishes to you! 🎉

And regarding your statement your department gives out drugs. I am not aware of any such scheme where pharmacology department GIVES OUT drugs for diseases. Yes we should encourage the upcoming juniors but let’s not give false hopes in the name of guidance. And I also remember what GRG SIR says but he never said anything like that in his videos regarding prospects of Pharmacology. FYI, I am not an upcoming PG resident. I have completed MD Pharmacology few years ago. But all other pharmacologists have explained this topic in a fair and balanced manner. If you are experienced please guide juniors through your videos. It will be more helpful for all of us including me. I'm only fairly helping others and not falsely. I just want encouragement and information which no one is giving them at this stage because at my time there was no one to guide me as well . Honestly , firstly you need a higher score ( taking it through private clg was never my priority as ROI is not much ) and especially for me the main reason was I never liked seeing the patients . U really need to feel good while doing your job as you need to pursue it through life. If you really like hearing people's problems you can choose that , but for me it was always teaching the students which gave me an adrenaline rush and solving there doubts. Those are the best branches but not for everyone. I had chosen what suited me best. Rest is your call and destiny. Best wishes ✨

Yes , major about all systems, including experimental pharmacology !! Not each and every disease but definitely the once which are of utmost importance.

One thing to note… You should avoid paid seats (with low/no stipend) for Pharmacology as you have to also take into account the return on investment... If you really want to pursue this branch, try to get in government medical colleges. So that you could get MD with minimum fees and decent stipend.
Usually it has to be done from govt but if someone is not getting a govt seat , so this year private clgs in MP were giving seats with zero fee and the basic stipend. Which will not be a bad deal for someone not getting PG in govt clg.

Directly join company and then they give you offers to join abroad. The other way is give exams post mbbs not post MD , that will be beneficial, you can choose your choice of branch and can practice in your choice of country.

People are more secure taking these branches as there are different opportunities other than academics. Hey !! No branch is good or bad. There are 19 subjects!! U can't specialise in everything. So call is yours . If you like teaching or wanna purse in academics ... It's a good subject.... U can join medical clg and have work life balance. Call is yours. But if you have interest in clinical branches or wanna see pts , then you can choose other branches accordingly.
When so many clinical seats are easily available its better not to prefer non clinical branch. No use of doing Pre and Para department as of now people's may be getting job but after saturation its very difficult to get job.. there was a saturation, During 2008 to 2012 we saw many MD's of pre and para worked as Tutors for many years after completing PG... May be like pharmacology u can go to company but teaching job is not that attractive.
Sir , competition is everywhere and if everyone starts thinking your way then how mbbs students will graduate? Anyday we need passionate and knowledgeable teachers to clear the concepts of upcoming doctors, nurses and all paramedical students as well. In this world nothing is cake walk , you need to put so much efforts in all the fields. Saturation is in every field, have people stopped becoming doctors? Neet UG results this year speaks volumes, so many students as AIR 1. I personally am pursuing academics. It's good if you enter into companies but anyday whatsoever we choose , we all have different passions as humans and we should pursue ours passions not saturations.

Then they can switch to companies or practice as GP. These options are always available. Rather than feeling sad , they can pursue these options and live happily. In para medical branches many PGs join just for sake of joining because they never got the clinical branch of choice. It's this think which stuck and make para medical branches less important. One should not join out of interest in the very starting, or if joined then remain satisfied. I'm not very supportive of people who are earning from these branches and still making these branches look small. Not all dermats are successful as well , it depends on the person I believe not in the branch. Even cricket can't be won without coaches. So is true about paramedical branches, no clinician is born with knowledge of 19 subjects. Means best faculty if stops putting efforts , we can never have good doctors. I have mutual respect for everyone but I believe it's high time people start acknowledging and respecting the field they are pursuing.
Both are very different!! One gives MNCs exposure or academics and the other give rural exposure!! Depends on you how you wanna live your life !! Best wishes 🎉

MD pharmacology is DEAD because now even BDS, MD PHYSIOLOGY, MD BIOCHEM,MD ANATOMY people are being taken in pharma company in place of medical advisor , same as md pharma . So no special thing in md pharma now. Also salaries are 6 LPA AND IN HAND IS JUST 35-40K PER MONTH plus insane working hours, tons of travel. No family time for wife. Speaking from personal experience in top pharma company of 3 years now.

No One is taking pharma to be a boring teacher somewhere when no student even attends pharma lectures in any top mumbai govt colleges too. Its a depressing life in academic and a slavery life in corporate when they are hiring any tom dick harry new each year and harass us to leave job and find other job when we ask to increase our salary. After 4 years i am still at 11 lpa . To put in perspective, that's the kinda money my ent , anaesthesia colleagues earns in a month. And even 21 yr ole engineers are getting 10 lpa packages now. So you decide if at 30 you are fine with 6-8 lpa and slowww excruciating progress. I mean no disrespect to anyone, just sharing my life

There are 19 subjects!! U can't specialise in everything. So call is yours .
If you like teaching or wanna purse in academics ... It's a good subject.... U can join medical clg and have work life balance. Call is yours.
But if you have interest in clinical branches or wanna see pts , then you can choose other branches accordingly.
What are Chances of going abroad after md pharmacology?
If you go into companies, after 2-3 yrs there are fair chances of going abroad!

When so many clinical seats are easily available its better not to prefer non clinical branch.
No use of doing Pre and Para department as of now people's may be getting job but after saturation its very difficult to get job.. there was a saturation, During 2008 to 2012 we saw many MD's of pre and para worked as Tutors for many years after completing PG...
May be like pharmacology u can go to company but teaching job is not that attractive.
Sir , competition is everywhere and if everyone starts thinking your way then how mbbs students will graduate? Anyday we need passionate and knowledgeable teachers to clear the concepts of upcoming doctors, nurses and all paramedical students as well.
In this world nothing is cake walk , you need to put so much efforts in all the fields.
Saturation is in every field, have people stopped becoming doctors? Neet UG results this year speaks volumes, so many students as AIR 1.
I personally am pursuing academics. It's good if you enter into companies but anyday whatsoever we choose , we all have different passions as humans and we should pursue ours passions not saturations.
@@drugdoctor94 I agree with u madam, if u are passionate of teaching thn it's OK.. or else it's not be satisfactory bcos I have seen many of my colleagues who is feeling very sad for not taking clinical seats..
Then they can switch to companies or practice as GP. These options are always available. Rather than feeling sad , they can pursue these options and live happily.
In para medical branches many PGs join just for sake of joining because they never got the clinical branch of choice. It's this think which stuck and make para medical branches less important. One should not join out of interest in the very starting, or if joined then remain satisfied.
I'm not very supportive of people who are earning from these branches and still making these branches look small.
Not all dermats are successful as well , it depends on the person I believe not in the branch.
Even cricket can't be won without coaches. So is true about paramedical branches, no clinician is born with knowledge of 19 subjects. Means best faculty if stops putting efforts , we can never have good doctors.
I have mutual respect for everyone but I believe it's high time people start acknowledging and respecting the field they are pursuing.

Depends in which field you wanna pursue post MD !! As such not much !! Academics do have less seats but in companies there is no saturation!! But definitely permanent job is not cake walk anywhere!! Best wishes 🎉
MD pharmacology is DEAD because now even BDS, MD PHYSIOLOGY, MD BIOCHEM,MD ANATOMY people are being taken in pharma company in place of medical advisor , same as md pharma . So no special thing in md pharma now. Also salaries are 6 LPA AND IN HAND IS JUST 35-40K PER MONTH plus insane working hours, tons of travel. No family time for wife. Speaking from personal experience in top pharma company of 3 years now.

@@bsskfks2974 yes , pharma is totally private dependent field. No One is taking pharma to be a boring teacher somewhere when no student even attends pharma lectures in any top mumbai govt colleges too. Its a depressing life in academic and a slavery life in corporate when they are hiring any tom dick harry new each year and harass us to leave job and find other job when we ask to increase our salary. After 4 years i am still at 11 lpa . To put in perspective, that's the kinda money my ent , anaesthesia colleagues earns in a month. And even 21 yr ole engineers are getting 10 lpa packages now. So you decide if at 30 you are fine with 6-8 lpa and slowww excruciating progress. I mean no disrespect to anyone, just sharing my life
