Well, that was an amazing STORY! All the written quotes before each green light had me thinking about the Initial D Series over and over. I'm so glad I watched it because it gave me a great appreciation for the time and effort you spent on the video. The upgrades are fantastic! Sorry my modified Trueno stunk it up. Maybe someday I'll construct a "normal" open track so I can actually test the cars I build. Thanks so much for the adventure, Sean!!
Seriously! Man you just keep pushing that bar higher! As someone who does editing( no where near the scale you do) I can only imagine how much time was put into this, plus hats off to you for the vision and creativity. Premium job! 👍💪
I'm nearly moved to tears at how enthralling this qualifying event is to me! The sound design _alone_ is a *master class* achievement, in which I could tell rotary from standard, upshifts from downshifts, and not the slightest bump against the track walls was left out. Lots of hosts can get good balance in their sound effects, but this tops everything, _everything_ I've witnessed before. Visually, a feast as always, supplemented by the astounding comic book panels at the new start area! Getting the overall look is relatively simple for these introductions based on my own work with filters, and perhaps an all B&W treatment would have been closer to manga, but there's no way I'll quibble about the choices made when the tremendous work and execution is staring me in the face. Like I first said, *enthralling* . Even the B-roll here makes a statement right from the opening scene! More than mere qualifying, less of a conventional race, the format again breaks the mould as we get to see how cars handle themselves in a contested on track battle. On a track specifically designed to maximise the number of cars finishing, that only means drivers have no choice but to push their builds _further and faster_, eking out the last ten-thousandths possible! Nice to see how many drivers enhanced their standing between runs where they came in first both times! Speaking of times, how a 16 flat wasn't good enough today, that just tells me teams know more from experience how to gain every benefit for this venue, glad to see it. With all the pure goodness apparent here, the final survivor race for the 16th spot had more gravitas and tension than what I see in a lot of other standard races. Some of your very best work, here, eP!! Good luck all, you gained my respect just by entering this white knuckle ride! Banzai to our 16 moving on!
The track looks amazing. I LOVE how the 90° crossover makes the dual lane section so interesting. I kind of hold my breath to see who comes out in front. It's awesome action. Just watch Sam vs R-Lo. Fantastic pass by R-Lo, then Sam Crushes the fastest time. Incredible. I also love the graphics treatments. Great work.
This is such a gorgeous tournament! The lighting is perfect, and that new start gate and 90 degree lane swap. Its such an inspired move. Beautiful contours, and such an exciting way to start a race. I feel like the depth of reality that your track offers just got even deeper. its so immersive I hope you feel great about it! Can't wait for more.
I almost got mad at myself for how I was driving. Then I had to remind myself that I was right on the tail of a guy that got a sub 15 time. So I got that going for me.
Gosh, I’m fully down the rabbit hole now where evert suggested video is a die cast racing channel… from what I have seen, your production quality is leagues above others! Nice work!
Visually brilliant, everything was brilliant, really the lil chas between driver were comical at times . Don't drive to close I've got rabies 😅. Great work 🇬🇧
Wow... Just... Wow. The creative artistry on display is stunning. Oh, and then there's the racing! Holey Moley did those top 3 times jump out unexpectedly! Fantastic stuff all around!
EP!! This was on an epic scale. Great work! I know how much you put into it, congratulations on the finished product can’t wait to see what you have moving forward!! 🖤
Well done ep... Well Done! It was like the cartoons came to life... Looking forward to the rest of the tournament! Congrats to those who made the cut... ✌😎🏁
Just rad! Love the new starting section. Nicely done on those mods. Love the comic book like graphics too. Really creative. JDM’s have to be one of my favs. Can’t wait to watch this entire series!!!
I never thought this would be possible, especially with the very strict specifications for the cars that you can use to race in this tournament, but here we are. Let's just see how this even is and how the builders made their respective cars.
Wow, Sean! You’ve really raised the bar with this one. I remember your earliest videos when you built your first track with the scrap wood you got from your father-in-law. Your night racing was fantastic, along with your Fast and Furious tournament. Epic videos. Yet you’re still able to bring cinema gold like this. The sound effects alone make this video top notch. You have some serious skills, sir. Maybe some day one of my mods will make it to your track. Thanks again for the video. Great job on the builds everyone!😎
That was a great qualifying event to watch. Your production is so good. Colour, light, sound and mood. The comic strip at the start of each heat is great too. The whole thing was beautiful to watch. Going to be a great series to come. 🏁
That was freaking awesome. I'm a little scared. The last time I got top spot i was out 1st round 😭 lol. Love everything you are doing EP. Love it can't wait for the event ❤
Wow! The production is top notch. I don't think I've seen anyone do night racing before. Everything is fantastic. Lighting, track, sound effects, music, graphics ... all amazing. Well done.
The starting gate I really like the Towers. They remind me of Gotham city in some of the Batman movies. With 3D printing the design ideas are limitless. Build an entire City, what’s stopping you?
Amazing work!! Do you have any videos describing your equipment and process to make these masterpieces? I’m always intrigued with behind the scenes. Thanks keep up this beautiful work.
do you have any videos or build threads that show the full layout? (the camera work is excellent, but it camouflages the layout of the track and how big it actually is)
I believe I show you the full track in my members only section of RUclips. It’s $1.99 I believe for the month. I also go live from time to time and answer questions and show people the track. The live shows are also saved in the members only section.
Wow initial D drifting and initial d tourmanent goood story and great refrences and also this reminds me of kotm from 3dbotmaker and the supra the nsx s2000 honda civic great choices from the drivers or creators of these cars and refrences a mech in the alley way and doms rx7 the main character i forgot his name okay jetta ff2
I plan to build my own track this year, may i ask how high is the total drop of your track from start to finish ? So i get a feeling if the room i plan to build the track in is high enough. Thanks
Welcome to the diecast family! My track is quite large (not exact measurements) 12x7 foot, 7ft tall, set on a 2ft tall table. So the track total height is is probably 5ft. You can always build smaller tracks that are just as fun! If you need help custom parts and turns check out spoolheads.com/
@@epvideosdiecastracing Thanks for the fast reply :-) After seeing some Videos of you and 3D i bought my first ever Hot Wheel, that was early November. As i write here i sit on aprox 500 different Models including Team Transport and some Premium ones. From left to right i have easy place like 4 (bit over 13 feet) Meters per Lane, just the room height is about 2 (kinda 6,5 feet) Meters total. Guess i will have to do some testing how flat or steep i have to make each lane so the cars have enough momentum and i can still make as many left to right lanes as possible hehe.
It’s on the way! Since qualifiers is so long I do not add commentary to that part of the tournament. After this episode you will hear lots of commentary 👍🏼
Visual poetry! Chills!
🙏🙏🙏
Best description of this vid so far. 😎 Well said!
What I said, but. . .with a Spartan economy of succinctness! Sometimes that's really all ya need, kudos!

Well done ep... Well Done! It was like the cartoons came to life... Looking forward to the rest of the tournament! Congrats to those who made the cut... ✌😎🏁
That was a massive bummer of a roll-over. I love you and Mr. Darq, but you had that one. Very cool car.

Still funny 😂😂😂
Loving the new start gate area!

Not one R35, I was surprised by that. Definite upgrade here, congrats and thanks for the show!
This looks exciting. Some of those cars were going so fast the camera could barely keep up!
That is no joke 😰😵💫🤯
Wow! That was so fun to watch! Great racing and amazing production EP!
👊😎🍻
I recently watched Initial D for the first time....what a bizarre ending!
Outstanding! Was Throttled to see such Fast times put down. Thank you for your time and effort to produce such a Kick butt production.
🙏
Awesome Production! For 1VS1 qualifications, wouldn't it be fairer to eliminate the "Last Chance" run and give that car a "No Time"?
Mesmerizing camera work, fun to watch!
Great show! Excellent production and amazing cars! Congratulations to those who made the field!
Love the track. Looks like a lot of tuning went into building it. Great format, lends itself to some tight competition.
That was amazing! Thanks for the racing and the production!🎉🎉🎉

Really looking forward to this since your teaser a couple months ago!

Beautiful cars on a beautiful track leads to beautiful crazy racing!

It’s nice but seriously, you have to fix certain parts of the track that cause cars to spin 180 degrees and run backwards.
