The fourth drop from a series of performance films taken from Damon Albarn's solo show at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre London - a live performance of Blur's 'This Is a Low'.
Accompanied by his band and a string quartet, the performance marked a rare solo appearance for Albarn, who presented tracks from across his songbook, including new single 'Royal Morning Blue' from forthcoming album The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows. Recorded 20th September, 2021.
Out November 12 on Transgressive Records, The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows, was originally intended as an orchestral piece inspired by the landscapes of Iceland. The new album has seen Albarn return to the music in lockdown over the past year and develop 11 tracks that explore themes of fragility, loss, emergence and rebirth. The result is a panoramic collection of songs with Albarn as storyteller. The title is taken from a John Clare poem Love and Memory.

After this my kid turned to me, bright-eyed with astonishment, and said “That’s the first time I’ve ever seen Blur songs played live!” ❤️
(':
Love blur live. Love anything Damon does with other muses live, he is magic and brings out the magic in others.
🥺💖
This is beautiful…the lower key makes it so rich. Just gorgeous!
My favourite Blur song ever... brings back memories, thank you Damon.
Gallagher brothers could never write anything as great as this
This man really loves what he does
My favourite Blur song - a simply stunning version 🥰
nice Les Dawson piano solo in there. Nobody has done more for music in the last 30 years than our Damon. Incredible
This life is broken and only you know exactly how and where the pieces fit together.
thank you for keeping me connected to the world Damon
2:31 Love his smile
One of my favorite Blur songs!! ❤️
My favorite Blur tune ♥️ He continues to lull me so that I'm able to find respite in an emotional and physical storm.
god he's so beautiful
Probably one of the best blur songs, really emotive! 😊..."and the radio says" 🎵🎶🎵🎵🎶🎵🎵🎶🎶🎵🎵🎶🎵
This is a low, young & lovely, best days, sweet song and strange news are the tracks I still listen now.
This live performance is new yet familiar but that piano solo is awesome
I m a big old fan since 1993..I love you Damon ❤️ thanks for everything
This version is just so 😍😍😍
Voglia di vedervi dal vivo in concerto
Damon ♥️
One of the greatest songs ever written! Love u Damon!
One of the songs that kept somewhere tuck nicely inside your brain and occasionally comes out to enjoy the sunlight when it wants to play by itself.
The worthiest setting for this beautiful masterpiece, i think!
Always loved this song the most from the album.Since I was 6th grader and listened the tape while playing Mario 2 on Nintendo
Simon is a fantastic guitar player and for reasons I don´t entirely understand, I love that he didn´t even try to re-create Coxon´s sick solo part. Damon´s dissonant "solo" came a bit unexpected, but I really enjoyed the idea. Love this song, though I´m not English or British.
I think since he joined blur during the think tank era, they realized it was impossible to replace Coxon... Not because Simon isn't a good guitarrist, but because Coxon is a tricky unique one. And YES THE PIANO SOLO!!!! That was amazing! Loved this version.
@@anafrancio Absolutely, you just don´t "do a Coxon" just like that. However, I didn´t mean to imply Simon wasn´t capable of delivering something along the lines of Graham´s solo. It feels more like they didn´t mean to in the first place. Love your avatar. R.I.P. poor Mr. & Mrs. Milk-Carton!
@@elwray3506 Yes, I understood your POV... Thanks about the icon! I drew it myself a couple of years ago and never changed it. I'm quite attached to those Mr and Mrs Milky 😂😂😂😂
it's another rendition of the song
@@aelahn It is. And that´s a decision.
love hearing this song again !
Epic performance - I was there 🙌
Grandeeeee damooonn
he so talented and diversity in all of his project. I am happy that at least i was on 2 his concert and get this vibe.
Such a beautiful song and so moving to hear it live. Come back to the US, friend.
Mammamia.... Quanti ricordi😍 how many memories bounded to this.....
Beautiful version of my favourite Blur song. My word, he has a way with melody. A bit like Everybody Hurts, so many people view it as downbeat, but to me, both songs are full of hope for better things. Seems about right for now!
Miracle...Thank You all...
Just beautiful - thanks Damon
I'm a 26 years old new big fan of Damon Albarn. I've always loved some of the songs of Blur and Gorillaz that hit South America but were in these days I really get into all Albarn's creation, starting from Blur and now diving more into Gorillaz and his other projects.
I had the opportunity to see Gorillaz at the Asuncionico 2018 despite I wasn't a big fan at that time. I regret it and I wish I could have a time machine to enjoy that show better. Now I just want a new Blur global tour including South America. That will be fantastic for many Blur young fans as me :)
Takes me back to such an amazing night and that rendition was just so beautiful and we were all singing along. Thanks so much 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
Bless you forever for this song
Heaven....absolutely stunning....wish I was there ❤❤❤
I'm so grateful to have discovered your solo work.... it's been great comfort in times of fear induced peril. Best to you and your loved ones. 💫

💚😇💚
👂♥️🤩✨
🤧🕺🌬💕💕💕
Damon slowly turning into graham, graham slowly turning into predator
muy hermoso damon si estuviese en ese show habria olor a pis como lo showd de los beatles
The us west coast exists still 🗿
Esa línea de bajo solo el único que la puede tocar es Alex y nadie más
Sounds like tomorrow never knows by the beatles
I've said it before and I'll say it again
Albarn is far more talented than the Gallagher brothers....fact
yes he is
but back in the day I think the oasis albums were better at the peak of brit pop
I agree, but does it, or did it ever really matter? That whole blur v oasis thing was ridiculous.
@@pk19791 no, it doesn’t matter.
Yeah. But we are in the 2021 now, that comparison should have no sense.
cool story bro
