I decided to remove bunch of characters like Morgott, Lucatiel, Patches, Siegmeyer after I wrote and recorded them. I want to revisit this topic and make a munch longer video with more details when I have more time. This week I am posting a shorter video but next week I'll be back to regular format and we'll talk about the areas and maps of all the Souls games. But for now tell us what are your favorite lores in Souls series.
I love the mythos of Big Hat Logan. His legacy is borne off the back of Seathe, and is passed down through all of the games in some form. He truly was someone of such mythical proportion that history was never the same after his passing through it.
Idk if it would be considered the lore, but more of the moment that was the saddest for me, was the first run I did of DS1 where I chose the old witch's ring. Nothing could have prepared me for the absolutely heartbreaking dialogue I would get from the Fair Lady. Everything about it. The delivery, her belief that her sister is alive, everything. Just pain
Amazing video. I love so many stories this series has to offer, but some are better then others and for me when I think of the best I picture Gael, Raven or Witch of Izalith and everyone in this video.
My all time favorite character in souls has to be Vendrick. He was the chosen undead of his time and became more than that, but when Nashandra orchestrated the entire kingdoms downfall he became the same crestfallen that so many of become. But when met with the bearer of the curse he sees a way he had not seen previously and together they find a "cure" from the endless cycle.
My favorite character in terms of lore has to be malenia blade of miquella, shes honestly a very inspirational character to me, ahe was born into an incurable rot and lost much of herself because of it, and yet she bacame one of the most accomplished swordsman in the lands between. But an honorable mention to renalla, i just relate to her a bit is all.
My fav part about the nameless king is that through animations you can clearly see him still human. He is visibly shaking at the thought of his partner dieing and absorbs him into his weapon. Hes probably the only geniunly good gods in the series
Banger video. My favorite is Gundyr's backstory not only because of hes literally me type of character but ds3 is my first souls game and iudex gundyr left me such an impact to this day
I love the idea of the chaos fires, a product of attempting to create an eternal flame and considering the way souls were used so frivolously by the “gods” or godlike lords of lordran I have my suspicions they may have even tried to give flame sentience/life. But what is fire naturally if not erratic and consuming regardless of direction or guidance
My favorite lore character is Seath the Scaless. Betrayer of Dragons Thief of the Primordial Crystal Awarded the Archives and title of Duke Grandfather of Sorcery Creator of several Monstrosities Kidnapper of Maidens Father of Priscilla and Shira Achieved Lichdom Self-Crystallization induced Madness Canonically killed the Chosen Undead Not only that, but his actions are felt long after his own death, all the way up until the end of the trilogy. (There is also the implication that Gwyndolin and Yorshka are also related to Seath as well.) Seath is possibly the second most influential character in the entire series, only just behind Gwyn himself.
No love for Ludwig the accursed? There's a guy who tried to do everything right, who only ended up suffering a lot, plus some of the best music in the entire soulsbourne series!
Sifs more I'd pretty great a ancient dragon drive to madness because of his insecurities The lore of malenia and miquela is amazing and unfinished yet cause of the dlc The lore of laurance and Ludwig
Anri and Horus’s quest line is just fantastic. They want vengeance for Aldrich devouring their family and destroying their lives. Having to put Horus down because he went Hollow and then you can see Anri start to waver because she lost her companion. It is beautiful and haunting.
I wouldn't say Artorias "claimed" anything. One he was corrupted already and two he probably was not that kinda glory seeking warrior. It's more like us as undead who was pulled through time never claimed it for our selves. Plus we would have been an anomaly. A nobody from nowhere. So I believe it was more like, it was "believed" Artorias beat manus so that is just how the story was told. To be honest. His sacrifice earned him the glory anyway.
I mean we couldn't have claimed the title. Artoris was sent to clear the abyss and only his wolf makes it back. Art is dead but the abyss was stopped youd have to assume that your most capable warrior who had equipment to combat the abyss won but sacrificed himself in the process. And eventually we go back to our point in time thus our character is absent through the centuries that arts tale of Stopping the abyss wouldve been told. And being back in the future what are we gunna say that we killed manus centuries ago but because we went back in time. People had been inspired and told arts tale for so long that no one wouldve believed us anyway we were a nobody while art was a High esteemed king of lord Gwynn who carried a piece of his lord soul why wouldn't you believe he actually did it.
It's a difficult one I love each game for a different reason, overall I'll say Elden Ring Sekiro Dark Souls 3 - Bloodborne Dark Souls Dark Souls 2 Demon's Souls
Geal Its just do subverting you usually exp3ct the last boss to be the big Bad important guy that we everyone knows. But then there's gael A lowly slave warriors who never gave up no matter the challenge. Even when he knew he'd never get to see his nieces painting for himself he still fought for her home for centuries never waving never giving up. Even when he lost to the darkness inside his blood he did the impossible and collected enough dark soul from possibly thousands to hundreds thousands of bodies. Just so the one he fought for, would have a place all her own. Away from the ruins of the world. That's the kind of determination and ambition that makes the impossible, possible and a good realization for what it means to play a soulsborn game. To beat the odds with nothing but Your unshakable will and willingness to get back up and Rolling like fat kid in a Tire.

keep them coming!
Sir Gideon Ofnir, the way Jerma screams "the alllll knoooowing" lives rent free in my head
loathsome dung eater 💯
Sulyvahn might be the most evil character for you but my canon evil is whoever placed those archers in Anor londo.
I went into Anor Londo fearing those guys but when I got there it was easy. Is it different on the Original version or something?
@@koaecax Sometimes its how you exploit the AI.
As I listen to this I’m sitting there on a NG+ run just throwing my head against the wall over those two (just cost me around 120,000 souls)
@@koaecaxgoing through that area blind before there was so many guides available was challenging
beating sulyvahn as the dancer is a great touch I see what you did there 👌👌👌

I always liked the design of Artorias but I never knew hot sad his story was.
You probably know this already but in ds1 if you go save sif in the dlc before you fight him in the present you will get an alternate cutscene
I like his funny skinny legs

The Painter along with Gael has my favorite lore

My favorite lore character is Seath the Scaless.
Betrayer of Dragons
Thief of the Primordial Crystal
Awarded the Archives and title of Duke
Grandfather of Sorcery
Creator of several Monstrosities
Kidnapper of Maidens
Father of Priscilla and Shira
Achieved Lichdom
Self-Crystallization induced Madness
Canonically killed the Chosen Undead
Not only that, but his actions are felt long after his own death, all the way up until the end of the trilogy.

im really in love with the elden ring lore would love to see a follow up on this talking about radahn, godfrey and malenia
Lady Butterfly?
Okay I'll go with Sir Alonne, comes from a distant land and saves a kingdom pretty much.
For me Ceaseless Discharge is the most tragic character and Quealagg is the most missunderstood character.
I named my dog pontiff sulyvahn because he has one blue eye and one reddish brown eye. Taking him to get a check up at the vet never gets old 😂

Surely you jest. Anri is canonically a he.
@@darthtom100 No, Anri is always the opposite of the player characters gender.

@@Tokahontes Exactly 💯 👏
Great video ps can I ask you a question
of course
@@Brollo_ok if you rank the soulsborne games how would it go
It's a difficult one I love each game for a different reason, overall I'll say
Elden Ring
Sekiro
Dark Souls 3 - Bloodborne
Dark Souls
Dark Souls 2
Demon's Souls
Yo! What was that music at the end? It’s SO familiar, but I can’t put my finger on it.

Omg, Artorias sounds so young :((((
pls do a part 2 🙌🙌
In Elden ring maliketh has the saddest story for me
Pontiff sulyvahn didn't kill gywns whole family he killed gwyndolin because all the gods weren't in anor Londo they left long before pontiff sulyvahn
I do not know like any lore in the Souls games at all despite having thousands of hours in them. idk something about like going sadge
Just to say. We haven't all played every single souls game. When you mention ppl, you should tell us what game they're from.
