Yeah right. All theses obscenely wealthy oligarchs who control the world- how come this omnipotent god of yours isn't humbling them? I swear, man... Some of y'all are remedial as f××k.
For real.

Love TKO is the jam! Thanks for watching ❤

It don’t hurt now, Miss you, Do Me, Lady the one’s he did when he was with Harold Melvin & The blue notes! Teddy is my favorite singer and he was so fine lol!! He could be my grandpa though if he was still here!! He’s still my boyfriend in my head when I listen to his Music lol!

Damn, Teddy was the Nick Cannon/Future of the 1970s and 80s. Sad he passed away too young.

@@Yourstruly4.0 how you know he ain't bi?
Nick is average looking. He us far from fiiiiiine.
@Young Nina Simone have you seen him with men?
It's hard to believe that he didn't want to leave anything to his daughters and son....
I dont believe it either. However I have a friend whose father was a judge and he believed that his children should work for their own things. My friends father left nothing to any of his children.
I think it’s important to leave a will for your children. It’s not necessarily making the children be lazy, entitled nor abusive but it can help them to manage things and support them when things do get rough.
Governments take all the inheritance and families leave with nothing.
I suppose everyone is different
THE FIRST WIFE DESERVE IT MORE THAT THAT GREEDY WIFE ,SHE SHOULD NEVER ENCOURAGE HIM TO CUT OFF
I thought that was terrible, also.
🤢
A man who was abandoned by his father & subsequently exhibited very strong paternal behaviors, does not seem to me, to be the kind of man to leave his children (whom he'd fought for, to be in his life) without any compensation on his passing; nor to say "I want my children to make their own money!"
We agree...
Exactly.
Yes, exactly.
You're a wise one. 🙌🏾
I've had people come for me on this subject, as if it was their money we're talking about. I'd sqid the same thing happened to Eazy-E's kids, Lou Rawls kids, and a number of others. Just as many entertainers have no knowledge of royalties, publishing, masters, residuals, etc., many are not aware of wills or living trusts. One thing I've learned about many not doing wills, and it's that many don't want to discuss anything having to do with death.
I recently watched an Unsung episode of Teddy. He was such a great performer and he was super fine!!! His voice was amazing! What happened to him was so tragic but it seems he eventually made peace with his condition. RIP Mr. Teddy. 🙏🏾

I personally feel that a will for his children should have each been created after the first (or 2nd)accident as a reality check. They are a part of him and deserves at least that much.
HIS THEN WIFE ,IF SHE WAS A LOVING PERSON, SHE WOULD HAVE ENCOURAGE HIM, R MADE SURE HIS KIDS GET SOMETHING, IT SHOW HAVE SPLIT ,I COULD HAVE LIVE WITH MYSELF IF I LET MY HUSBAND LEAVE EVERYTHING TO ME AND LEAVE OUT HIS KIDS, THAT IS NOT LOVE, SHE DIDN'T LOVE THE MAN AS HIS FIRST WIFE LOVE HIM
@@marvakissendall681 I agree. Many women marry for money or fame. I can’t say whether or not she loved him but I can definitely say she’s selfish because his heirs come before her…they should’ve at least been included.
Facts especially because he has so many items, assets, and children. Black folks don't like to think about death but having a will quells any future arguments. From experience it can tear a family apart and cause resentment.

That's Perfectly OK. It says that you were/are not caught up/invested in pop culture which Is a good thing. Teddy's music is timeless. There are some artists whose music I've heard my parents listen to that went over my head as a child/young adult. But baby when I got married saw the Unsung episode and actually listened to some of his music 👀Turn off the Lights is a problem and I can see why Teddy was having those women only concerts that left some women pregnant giving birth after 9 months.

This man was still cheating on a wheel chair. You would think he will use that time to make serious reflections. And how did having multiple children from different mothers help with his estate after he passed. It’s like a repetitive cycle when you watch or read about these celebrities lifestyle. The lack of fathers, guidance and the lack of wealth building, finance...imagine he took his GED later in life when there was no one to guide him or encourage him to finish high school then accomplish your dreams. Growing up, I always remember my father playing, "When Somebody Loves You Back" and "My Latest, My Greatest Inspiration", songs every time we would head home after visiting my family relatives in his hometown. As a 20-year-old who was born in the 2000's, I appreciate my father for introducing me to this man's music. Teddy Pendergrass has always stuck with me as one of the greatest artists to ever do it in the 70's-80's era. His voice was so soothing, and he had such a great smile😄. It's crazy how one accident changed his physical ability to perform on stage, but even with that, he was still able to woo a lot of women back then😂! May He Rest In Peace ❤🕊
Every time I hear him, I'm reminded of my dad. He loved a bit of Teddy!
I grew up listening to Teddy Pendergrass music. In the late 70s when he had become a top solo artist, I was still a young child, 12 years old in 1977 but all kids in my neighborhood and many others knew who Teddy Pendergrass was, sang his songs and loved his music!!! Unfortunately us young girls knew we were to young to ever go see him in concert. He was definitely considered a sexy, attractive man with an amazing voice and great songs!!! I'm from Philly and learning that he was from Philly our love for him, gave me and probably many others great pride!!! He was representing Philly, a big star and undeniably a great talent!!! Also at that age I learned of his "For Ladies Only" concerts which confirmed how crazy women were about him!!! I mean, even at that age I knew to be able to do that and always being successful with all those women attending his concerts, sold out concerts, he was definitely a sex symbol!!! I had never heard of any other singer/performer or artist that had ever done that and even though I was young I knew that was something very unique and special to pull off!!!! I've said over the years to people my age, how we knew all the words to Teddy's songs and would be singing our hearts out but didn't realize until we(me) got older what the words in his songs and the songs themselves actually were describing and expressing!!! We were to young to have experienced those feelings, emotions, love making and real relationships!!! I got it and could relate to them with a deeper feeling, understanding and emotional connection to his songs and the words in his songs as I got older and with experience in love, making love and intimate relationships!!! Nevertheless was great, PERIOD!!! Even though I love all his songs, even when he was with Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, I have a few that are first on my list of my favorite Teddy Pendergrass songs.
- Don't Hurt Now
- Choice Tonight
- Can't We Try
LOVE THESE SONGS, they touch me, my heart, my soul and my spirit so profoundly!!!! I think he sings the HELL out of Can't We Try!!!! Teddy is undoubtedly one of the greats!!!! Rest in Heavenly Peace Teddy!!!!!!!!👏👏🏆🎤🎶🔥🔥🎉🎉🎉🤍❤🤍🙂

I always believed if it wasn’t for the accident his career would’ve went much further. Teddy was a damn rolling stone 🥴. Has the wife done anything to keep his name alive for the generations like she claimed because I haven’t seen a thing
He still had a solid career. The accident only slowed him down for a bit.
Probably not!
His career still was successful post-accident. Think he had three albums that went gold after he left his old label (we know of the "Hold Me" duet hit he had with Whitney, which really reintroduced Teddy to the mainstream - and introduced Whitney in the process).
