'73-'76... Terry, Bruce, and Dennis (soon to be ex-drummer, reducing the trio to a duo) were making their bones at our Sands Ramada Inn. They were our entertainment of choice at "The Attic Nightclub" in our "Steak Knife Restaurant". It was a work in progress at the time, bringing in standing room only crowds whenever they played. I have followed them over the years, losing track for a while until I was traveling through Spokane WA and saw the guys staring at me from the side of a city bus, advertising for a gig at the Coeur D'alene Casino. About 30 years had passed and they still did not miss a beat (or a laugh). Their spontaneity and depth of humor has never failed them... or their devoted audiences. Thanks for keeping us laughing throughout the years, guys!
The year was 1973. The place was the Winnipeg Inn later Westin Winnipeg. The show room was called the STAGE DOOR. A Vegas like supper club show room. I was the Manager of the show room. Williams and Rea played there two times. My name is John They were just starting out and were good.
They've been around awhile. I first saw them in a USO tour at Incirlik Air Base Turkey with Randy Travis headlining in 1989. These guys put on a hilarious show and had everyone rolling. I remember thinking, "What a killer comedy duo and why haven't I ever heard of these guys?!"
They are the best entertainers I have seen and great singers.
