- In todays video we explore a HUGE abandoned mansion rumored to have been owned by Popular Artist Taylor Swift who apparently had gotten the home built for her parents. Unfortunately we did not get inside the mansion and we were not going to force our way in. But the 23,000 square foot mansion was good enough to explore the outside of.

I can barely afford monthly rent for a one room apartment so it's crazy to me some people have enough money to abandon a mansion🤧
High property tax can't afford and it cost a lot to maintain.
It abandoned because they could not afford to finish it nor live there!! That's the point they got greedy and over built!!

Honestly it's kind of insulting leaving abandoned places like this, given how many people are living in the street nowadays.
Taylor doesn't really care about those who are without fortune and fame, and are struggling to get by in life. Regarding this abandoned mansion; it's just a bit ("chump change") of her money: wasted.

I believe that the thought of homeless people and their plight was not ever on her mind, when she backed out on completing the construction of this mansion; leaving it standing. It is irresponsible of her, and sends a message to those less fortunate: "Ooh, look at me!"
All she cares about is you purchasing her concert tickets and albums. Ensuring that she stays RICH!!

Unfortunately, this particular home, in the Lehigh Valley, PA area was built in 2000 for a husband and wife unrelated to Ms. Swift. It was likely purchased with the proceeds of the physician wife, who had her PA medical license permanently revoked in 2016. I practice in this general area, and it was a big local story at the time.
The wife, a DO ( doctor of osteopath ) was sentenced to 7~ years in prison circa 2016 for running a long time opiate pill mill, defrauding Medicare/ Medicaid, killing one patient, attempting to smuggle narcotics into jail during her original trial and having a very serious drug issue herself. I wish I was joking, but sadly I’m not.
I believe the property sold for ~$450K in 2019. Keep up the fascinating tours please. 👍

My Aunt and Uncle lived in a 10,000 square ft mansion in Toronto and it was over $70,000 a year just to keep the place running not including a mortgage...Ppl don't realize just how incredibly expensive it is to keep these places going. Stay humble ppl and live with what you need! ✌️

@@SeaFlower38 It was really nice, the entire foyer was marble and the chandelier hung 27ft high. It had 7 bedrooms on the 2nd floor, 4 in the basement, inground heated pool/ hotub and sauna with a 4 car garage and a loft above. They won $11.8million from a lotto ticket they received in a bday card. They were already wealthy accountants...lol

This was not Taylor Swift's nor her parents home. I lived across the street on Brighton Court for 10 years. The home was built in 2000 and exchanged hands 3 times. It was recently purchased in November 2019 for $451,000. It is in foreclosure. This home was an eyesore for my neighborhood for years. So no this is not Taylor Swifts parents home.
This video made me sick to see how someone can spend so much money then abandoned it, and leave it full of garbage. If I had an opportunity to ever own a place as beautiful as this I would never in a million years left it. I would have done something with it. Thank you for sharing . I love your videos. ❤❤❤

Regardless of who has ever owned it: it would take tons of money to maintain it, apparently. When you look at houses this big in Europe that have lasted hundreds of years - this one is bad work.

Exactly what I was thinking. A contractor told me Mansions are made of the same crappy quality materials our houses are made of. It seems to me the drywalls molds & rots too easily too. They got ripped off.

Architecturally speaking, the house looks like it was built by a contractor pretending to be an architect. Totally tacky. So many homeless people in the world, and then there is this.
Ever think that having huge amounts of money makes a lot of people stupid? The idea of living in monolithic opulence is a wholly selfish, ego-driven endeavor, and the vast wastes of that mentality are found all over the world. Maybe people have to be smart to figure out how to acquire giant fortunes, but those fortunes often seem to result in grandiose self-centered things, like this ugly-as-hell, complete waste of effort of a home.
I agree with you. Nothing worse than a contractor designing his own house. Most big modern houses are ugly. Here, in LA, most of the new mansions are ugly.
What do homeless people have to do with this house? You live in a house, yet there are so many homeless people in the world. So what?
So many businesses looking for people to work, basically begging for people to come in and work and homeless people have no desire to try and find meaningful employment. At some point you can only help so much before these people have to put forth some effort

I was part of the crew of one of the sub contractors that worked at this house I was there for 8-1/2 months Taylor swift and her family had nothing to do with this house her first mansion was located in PROVIDENCE R.I. the original owners were a pair of doctors when we worked there
As a local, no way was this Taylor Swifts parents house. There have been many unsubstantiated rumors over the years. I’d love to see some proof.

According to someone who lives in this neighborhood this was never owned by Taylor Swift. It changed owners 3x while being built and was an eyesore for the neighbors - but TS never had anything to do with it.
I definitely believe that, because I can't imagine that Taylor Swift would leave it to rot like that. She's very business savvy. I don't see her throwing all of that money away by just leaving it abandoned if she had spent all the money to have it built.

I live near this place and have done work in the surrounding homes. It was first rumored to be Tom Cruises. So whichever story is accurate .. it doesn’t take away from the fact that’s it’s gigantic …and a shame for something like this to be left in disarray.

I've been in Real Estate for 30+ years, and have seen $5m, $10m, and even $20 million houses like this .....I'd say this one is only about $4 or $5 mil in construction cost, believe it or not... they usually get foreclosed on because something happened - like owner had a bad business deal that ruined him, divorce, death, or embezzlement of the construction funds ....lots of different reasons. I don't know what happened here, but one guy below said it was never owned by TS.... Instead of living in something sensible and saving their money, a lot of these people build a "monument to their ego" as I like to call it, and when their house of cards falls down, this is what happens !

It looks like it was thrown together like Lego and the dilapidation has set in big time,

Why wouldn't someone hold Taylor accountable for leaving this property like this!!!! There are SO many people needing homes and shelter and knowing that this could house and help others....blows my mind! Also-Not sure if you said where this was but Nashville has flooding not too long ago that many lost everything.....WHY NOT TURN THIS INTO A REFUGE! A. This house is PA not TN.
B. The big Nashville flood was several years ago. Housing is an issue because the influx from CA, but this house is not in or near Nashville.
C. Apparently Taylor Swift was a child when this place was built and never an owner. He was mistaken about that.
D. I do agree the owner has some responsibility to clean up the place.

When I see this home, all I can think of is how many homeless people it could shelter. There are decent people who, for some type of tragic circumstances, have lost their homes. What a beautiful place to be left to ruin. So sad.

Sorry and I mean this respectfully but this was proven a while ago that it was NOT hers/her parents’ house. A neighbor to that house said it went into foreclosure and sold in November 2019 for $450k. The house she bought her parents is in Nashville.
Also should add this was built in the late 90s 😅 So this house is probably as old as she is. But nonetheless a beautiful house!
That’s what I read too. Couldn’t find anything connecting her to this house. She did buy them a home in Nashville and then turned around and put it up for sale 4 months later.

The much-discussed and captivating home on more than 5 acres has been around for 17 years now atop a bluff in a high-end development in western Lehigh County's Lowhill Township.
It's the manor of The Manor subdivision.
It's had two owners but no one's ever lived there, a real estate agent said. And it's been back on the market for several months now.
This nine-bedroom, seven-full-bath castle of concrete, steel and brick in a neighborhood of mere mansions isn't for the average buyer.
For starters, despite its metal tile roof, it's not finished. Not nearly. And, when it comes to interior finishes, much of what is done might need to be undone, then redone.
Oh, and the price tag? North of $1 million.
And it doesn't help that the kind of homes that sold for $1 million 10 years ago in the Lehigh Valley now go for $600,000 and are beautiful, he said.
But this property has some things that others don't -- land that on the open market would probably draw $300,000, Paranee said. It's basically a par 3 from tee to green. It's in a good school district and has breathtaking views. And the home's guts -- the concrete, brick and steel -- could set a builder back $2 million to replicate, Paranee estimated.
In-floor heat and central air. The mechanical rooms are impressive.
Five garages and a separate workshop with a garage door of its own. Two in-law suites on the first level, each with a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and living room.
There's a library. A media room. Huge laundry rooms and an office. A master suite with a windowed reading loft, marble bath and walk-in closets. A place for a covered pool below the second-floor deck.
This breaks my heart. So many who are in need, most work to the bone and can't afford homes and this is just rotting away?!?! Ppl are ruthless. I'm not perfect but I give until there is nothing left. This is a shame, on her parents too.

I’m a stage 4 cancer victim. USAF veteran now living in a 5th wheel because I can no longer afford a home and can not get SSI. this makes me sick every time I see one of these abandoned homes.

Thank you for the video. Not ever a TS fan and seeing this video was made 6 mos.ago I googled TS. I didn't know she came from a rich family , her maternal grandmother was a famous singer , and her mother has been battling cancer for a few years. I'm sure there a lot of controversy over this home as to who built it and for whom , and why it sits empty to this day. It's a shame what has happened there like so many other empty places going to waste . The last recession 2008 left so many homes empty because people were without jobs and homes. We're now into the third year of the planned- demic.Its scary where this will go. God bless stay safe.

So we had a mansion in our area that was never finished for over 10 years. What happened was an accident and they where forced to shut down all construction until the lawsuit was done. Unfortunately things happen and there isn’t anything that can be done. Luckily the place near me was finally finished and sold.
Absolutely disgusting how many buildings are just abandoned when the need for housing in this country is so desperate. I appreciate your filming and wish something could be done to make use of some of these buildings.

Hmmm, so this must be an extremely old video or its recent..... just an added insight to this structure......I was working in that house as a contractor some many years ago. Thats up in Allentown Pa. One guy lived their to oversee the property. Unfortunately, I was told that this was the home of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. And was abandoned because of their divorce. They built it so they could travel back and forth to NY for movie gigs. But, I have no idea if that was true or not. Just what I was told. Though Taylor Swift might be a bit younger before she made her millions. Unknown about here parents though.. Unfortunately I'm unaware of whats true or not true.
When I was there the entire house was being renovated by a man who I felt was a bit shady but it was starting to look livable. Now this was probably 9+ years ago. Timing is a bit fussy at this point. I was at the very top of the peak of the mansion. The view was stunning... It was built with a metal frame structure in mind. It sits on a hill in the middle of a community of 3-5M Properties. Its Like whos got the biggest dick structure. I have pictures from the top of structure looking down and on the inside. I think i have pictures of the chandelier and the stairs. Its absolutely beautiful home. I was also told it was 10m structure at the time it was being constructed but later abandoned and homeless people were living in it for years. Again thats what was told to me. Anyway, its stunning and beautiful to say the least. I haven't been there in a long time so I don't know whats going on now. Thanks for the video though.
Yes you are absolutely correct this is Tom Cruise's and Nicole Kidman's abandoned mansion. I live in that area for a very long time. I don't understand why it is not finished and maybe being used for homeless veterans or families. Or better yet I'm kind of facility to help the elderly. With so many people being homeless in the United States and us catering to the needs of people that are just coming into this country, I think it's time to start caring for our own people first. But that's just my opinion. I do not think that this is Taylor Swift's parents house. I believe it is come kruis Cole Kidman in which they both abandoned instead of finishing it.

The land was purchased in 1997 & house was built in 2000 by person named Tarapchak, sold in 2012, has had 2 subsequent owners the last buying the property for around $450,000. Never belonged to Swift, Cruise, or Kidman. I do know from records the title was changed for $1 from 2 people to 1, I suspect a divorce.

I have seen videos about this. Someone who grew up near this house said it DOES NOT belong to Taylor or her family. Something about the developer ran out of money or something. It's been some time since I have seen the video.

This video was click-bait. Taylor Swift's portfolio of homes never included anything she had to build from scratch. They usually are existing houses which she then renovated. Look it up.

I think there was a problem with permits & inspections from construction.
Fans don't think this is actually Taylor's house, but belonged to her Parents and because Taylor is a businesswoman and would never let a house sit vacant like this. I tend to agree with that, she is a millionaire who can build and buy whatever she wants, it just doesn't make any sense as to why she would let this house (if she owns it) just sit and waste away.

Whoever the hell owns it should be sent the bill for demolishing it! It's disgraceful to build something this big only to not finish it and then just let it rot. Also, how the heck could this expensive structure be 'falling apart' after such a short period? The contractor must be doing some damn shady work!
Typically the weather quickly without people in them, because of extreme weather. No AC or heat running, so the house is hot or cold, water leaks, bugs and animals all sorta reasons as to why houses start getting shitty fast

Modern homes aren't designed to last without continual climate control. They won't stand a 100 years like homes from a century ago. They're built cheap, not to last.

I wish I could live in one of these abandoned places. As of Dec 15th I am getting eviction from the house I rent. It's not from non payments but the landlord sold the 2 family home and the new owner is going to convert it into a single family and he is going to live in it but I barely got 3 weeks to get out. I live in R.I. and I can't afford rent and I am getting custody of my children and I won't get them if I am living in my car . I am praying to God I don't end up living in my car for Christmas. Both of my parents have passed away so my kids are my everything and my only family. If anyone out there reads this and could send me in the right direction for help I greatly appreciate 🙏

This house is in Lowhill Township, Pa. and she never owned it. There are 3 homes she reportedly purchased for her parents at same time. Look at the MLS info - not showing her name or an LLC showing.
That was so cool 😎 and I have to say that you would have had a hard time trying to get me away from every window of that monstrosity of a home I could walk through that place for many years and still not make it to every room in the place so that sounds like a small town to me so I'd sooner stay right here in this little bitty tiny house 🏠 and call it good 🤨🤔

My folks used to have a 5,000 sq ft. one and it was absolutely massive. This one is almost 5X that. Nuts.

It said the house was in foreclosure and sold for $450,000. The bank and loan companies just want to recoup their investment. If it doesn’t sell through a real estate company they auction it off and accept what ever they get.
