I think the judge was justified in every one of his actions. Many merchants are dishonest. Pretty much all of them in fact. He was doing his people a great service, by weeding out the bad merchants, who were deliberately cheating people. He made an example of them to all the other merchants. Basically saying, "Be honest in what you are selling, make sure you are using proper materials/ingredients, and respect our selling laws. Or pay the price for your actions. I wish they did that in America.

oh mahidevran, you poor baby. i don't like her most of the times but the rest of the times i really feel bad for her. they took almost everything from her, her love, her son, her grandsons, her granddaughter, her daughter in law, her confidants everything. yes she was dubious on most occasions but i can't help but say the luck and fortune wasn't on her side.
hurrem was intelligent and devious but she could only expand her influence because suleiman loved her, had suleiman not been so blindly in love with her she probably would've had a worse fate than mahidevran. if mahidevran had the love hurrem and suleiman had, im sure she wouldn't have ended up so miserably, because mahidevran literally has committed a lot less misdeeds than hurrem.
