MeatNinja No I am just thinking from the mindset of people who actually buy the product. Thus I know what marketing tactics I'd go for. If I had the choice to buy a region free edition and pay more I would.
+MeatNinja You do realize that you never explain WHY they'd make more money off of region locking DVD/Blu-ray playback but apparently not with video game region locking.
4:06 You can select regions from 1 - 6. Some stand alone DVD players also includes region zero. If you select region zero the DVD player will become region free. It will play any regions without having to change it again.
Not always the case my old dvd player still wouldn't play certain region 1 discs even if it was set to 0 I had to set it to 1 to watch those discs haven't had that issue with any of my region free blu ray players since but did on that old dvd player
@@andrez76 As far as the PS4's region free compatibility not applying to DVD movies, its especially frustrating cause I have a little cousin who loves "Thomas the Tank Engine", and I was thinking about importing the Season 1, 2,3,4,5,6,and 7" DVD's from the UK with the original British narration, and he could watch it that way. But because the PS4/XBOX One doesn't have true region free capabilities, he's stuck using those crappy compilation DVD's from the US with the subpar American dub.
He's from Brazil? I'm surprised he isn't begging for money! Brazilians love to play the Free games so they can try to con people out of items and money!
If anyone wonders, if you have a disc from a different region, you can put it into your computer and, even though it doesn't read because it's region locked, you can still use a DVD ripper software and it WILL work. So you can own the digital version of your movie without a decrease in quality. I'm currently using MakeMKV and it worked perfectly for a Region 2 DVD inside a Region 1 reader.
Was trying to play a French dvd on my U.S. ps4 and your video helped. it doesn't work for bluray regions, but it does for dvd regions on mine. Luckily I bought the dvd & bluray pack.
I personally do not like the Region Locking, but just for everybody to be aware. The purpose of Region locking is also a form of protectionism for local publishers, distributors, and retailers to discourage parallel importing of physical media content that would otherwise threaten the existence of these local businesses.
I can confirm that the American models can do that until latest firmware, but I had a Japanese model before and unfortunately it could not do that. I think it differs from region to region. I am interested in buying an Asian model (Southeast Asia) but I wonder if I can change its DVD region like the American model. Players from either Indonesia, Hong Kong or Malaysia could you please confirm if you can change the region or not ?
Did it really work for you? I mean, I'm thrilled I was able to help you, but it's just that there have been so many people over the years claiming they were unable to see that region setting screen. I too was unable to get to it with another PS4 unit I bought some years later. A decade has passed and I'm still in the dark as for what the factors are. Regardless, I hope you have fun with the movie! Cheers!
The region coding will never be dropped. Think about it, movies released in US might hit DVD or Blu-ray Ray way before the movies hit the theatres anywhere else in the world, so if there's no region coding, why would anybody ever go to the cinema again if the film can be bought for home viewing. The same will soon happen to 4k Blu Ray, once it becomes the norm it will be region locked, at the moment there's no coding. Get your 4k's now.
andtastic1 not everyone goes to the cinema though. Having a large family myself I will just wait for blu ray release and watch on my home theatre setup. In my opinion locking films is just ridiculous and studios are more than likely losing out on money with this practice. And region locking just doesn't apply to new releases they will aslo region lock certain remastered box sets etc and basically it just sucks and in my opinion there is no place for it. Also there are work arounds like purchasing multi region players so really they are preventing nothing, it's just a archaic practice which does not benefit consumers and has no place in 2018!! Lets hope 4k uhd discs stay region free and the blu ray generation was the last of this ridiculous practice.
Matthew Roy Glad to be of help! Be aware, though, that some viewers have reported they could not get to the same region selection screen I show on my video. Is your unit's model number the same as mine (CUH-1115A)? Cheers!
Matthew Roy Look under the console, near the back. You should find a model number of the form CUH-1111A. This might help: bit.ly/1Er3kbR. Best regards.
Thanks for that. But does that eventually mean that youre able to play a certain foreign dvd/bluray for 4 times only if you also play other not foreign stuff ? That would be annoying.
I just bought a movie through amazon and its from region 2 and it work fine on my PS4 and Im from U.S. But when I tried to play it through a regular blu ray player there is an error code. I have been able to play dvds through this blu ray player, but this one won't play.
My PS4 can't do this.. crap. I watched this video before buying a dvd collection from another region (can't get it here), but now I can't play it... I guess there has been some update that took out this region change option.
Thanks for the video, doesn't work on my PS4 though, glad yours works though dude. Enjoy matrix, I gotta go buy a multi region DVD player now in order to player my imports :-/
This was very helpful man. I bought one of my favorite movies in the US (there i got no problem playing it) but i'm from mexico and when i got back i couldn't play it on my dvd player anymore. That was about 7 years ago...now thanks to you i will watch the movie again. P.S. Do you know what else changes alongside the region swap on my ps4?
Thank you for your comment. I don't know if you've actually managed to change the region setting on your PS4. You see, this video was recorded 4 years ago and I'm not sure the region selection thing is available on current versions of the PS4's system software. Anyway, I wish you can get it done so you can watch your movies! As for your question, selecting a different region as the DVD playback region should not have any other effect in anything else. Bear in mind, though, that once you switch to US region (region 1), you'll no longer be able to watch local movies that are not region-free. It sucks, I know. But that's how it is. Saludos!
just so yall know this will not change the blu ray region coding... so you can set it to whatever region for dvds and still watch the original regions blurays
Tried it, sadly on my one the option to change region doesn't appear. I only get a black screen with the statement Mismatch between disc and player region codes. See disc packaging for details.
What software version was on your PS4 at the time you made the video? My PS4 is version CUH-1102A which is the same version as 1115A except different region (Australia). It has software version 2.02 and does not give the option of changing the regions as you show in the video.
Thordis Einarsdottir Hello, Thordis. I was running the same version as you, 2.02. You are not the first viewer to report that you are not seeing the same option on your system. It seems to indicate the feature is somehow tied to specific versions of the console and not merely to its system software. I've tried asking Sony for an official statement on the issue, via Twitter, but have not heard back from them. I'll try again and let you guys know. Regards.
NeyZunino In Australia the Attorney-General’s department confirmed that region-free DVD and Blu-ray players are exempt from the Technological Protection Measures (TPMs) included in the US Free Trade Agreement.
How new is your playstation? Because I tried to follow your steps and when I put in the DVD, it doesn't give me that "option: ABout DVD Region Code" and I tried various DVDs from UK, USA, Canada, and still nothing. Currently in the Middle East and bought my playstation only last year so wondering why it isn't giving me the same option as it gave to you?
I'm afraid that must have been some kind of temporary feature that was later removed from the system via a patch. The PS4 I own now also doesn't have it. The one on the video is no longer with me (that was nearly 4 years ago), but my guess is even that one might not have that option available anymore. Yeah, I know... This whole region-locking thing sucks. Sorry I can't be of much more help. Cheers!
Is That Okay To Watch SpongeBob SquarePants, Thomas the Tank Engine, 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Pokemon On PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Multi Region DVD Player and Multi Region Portable DVD Player?
Please, be aware that there is no guarantee that your particular unit will offer a configuration option like the one shown on the video. As a matter of fact, that seems to be the exception rather than the rule. This doesn't mean you won't be able to play your Japaneses movies; some titles are actually region-free, despite being marked otherwise. Still, the risk is there. I hope that helps. Take care.
leozar69 Unfortunately, that would not work. The region setting for movie playback has no relationship to the region associated with the PSN account. Best regards.
Andre, I'm still unclear. Will the American PS4 play a blu-ray movie from France (region 2)...? Your video makes it seem like all blu-rays from any region will work and for dvd's, you have to switch the region. Thx
linoeleven The video shows me testing the playback of a DVD from a region different than that of my console and the region-setting screen that surprisingly showed up when I did so. As I've stated in several other replies here, I've yet to find out if a similar setting is available for Blu-Ray movie playback. But, to answer your question, *no*, you would *not* be able to play a region B Blu-Ray (France belongs to region B) on a region A device such as the American PS4. Be aware, though, that many Blu-Ray discs are what's known as region-free, meaning that they are meant to be played everywhere, regardless of their origin. You'd have to ask or verify if the particular movie you're interested in fits that description. I hope that helps. Cheers!
linoeleven The bottomline is that, although simpler and less strict than DVD region coding, Blu-Ray region-coding exists and may prevent you from enjoying a disc you buy from another region. If you were to buy it by walking into a store, you could always examine the box yourself and look for the region indication or some information that states that the disc is region free. If ordering it online, I'd do some googling. To be on the safe side, I'd try and stick to discs from my own region. Good luck. Cheers!
It worked for me and all I had to do was put in the DVD from region 2 and it gave me a prompt to change it automatically. The whole "4-times" thing sucks though. Been wanting to watch this UK flic, "The Kid" for a long time now. Looking forward to it.
Hi I live in the US.(Region 1) Do you have to change the region everytime you want to watch the same movie? Do you change region back when youre done watching the movie? Do I have to change the region again if I wanna play a region 1 movie. Does it change regions automatically when I insert a movie?
As long you are only watching movies from the same region as your current setting, you don't have to be changing it each time. You would only change if you needed to play discs from a different region. However, please understand that this feature was not meant to help users play discs from multiple regions; on the contrary, the whole region thing is meant to restrict access. Because people might buy players from or move to different regions, some devices allow for a limited number of region switches. In sum, don't think of it as something you can keep going back and forth as it will eventually get stuck on a setting once the change limit has been reached. I hope this helps.
Hello, +NeyZunino Im from, Holland but currently im living in Argentina. (so at the moment we are neighbours :D) Before in Holland i had an Playstation 4 but i don´t have this one anymore. Now in Argentina i want to buy a new Playstation 4 (also out of America) but i still want to use my old PSN account from Holland. And i still have 2 games, will those work on the American Playstation 4? Cause i read something about it with DLC´s but i guess i will not have any problem with this if i just use the PSN account of the country where the game is from. (I hope im right!) It´s cool to know that it´s possible to set the region for DVD (guess also Blu-Ray) to a other region 4 times so i would have to set those settings to region 2 like this in the future if i would go to europe! Already a lot of thanks! Greetings.
***** Hello, Benjamim. Technically, we're not neighbors as I've just moved to the US. :) As for your question, it seems you've got the right idea about how it works. You should not have any problems whatsoever playing your games from Europe on an American (or any other) PS4. You should not have any problems using your original PSN account either. There is indeed an issue with DLCs, as you mentioned. Basically, DLCs for a given game must be purchased from the PSN store corresponding to the place of origin of the game. In other words, if you have a game from Holland and you wish to buy a piece of DLC for it, you ought to do it using your PSN account from Holland, so that you end up in the PSN Store from Holland. I hope you can understand what I mean. Best regards and thank you for your comment.
Sgt.James Doakes Hi. The official price of the PS4 in Brazil is a staggering R$ 3999.99, which is roughly US$ 1570.00, using a conversion rate of 2.55 (US$ 1 = R$ 2.55). Sure, you can find it in stores for as "low" as R$ 2500.00 (roughly US$ 980.00), but that's still very expensive. In my case, I bought an imported console and it set me back R$ 1600.00 (about US$ 627.50). Not ideal, but a far cry from its obscene official price tag. Regards and thanks for your comment.
Yes it will support all indian games DVDs definitely, but as explained in the video you can only change the region upto limited number of times, so better stick to buy DVDs from one region as per your preferences.
What is your PS4 firmwer version on this video, because I have PS4 model CUH-1106A and FW 3.11 now and not appear option to change the DVD region, olny show error CE-35489-9
Hello. thank you for your video. I have a question. I have a 2020 Asian PS4 in France. i cannot play dvd. error message. geographic area problem. I don't have a menu to choose the zone. Is there another solution ? do I have to reset it? I thank you. Julien.
Hi, Julien. Sorry for the belated response. Throughout the years, dozens of viewers have reported they don't see that region setting screen as well. My conclusion is it's been completely removed. I don't owe the PS4 used in the video anymore, but my new unit also doesn't have the option. It's not the response I'd like to give to you, but there isn't much that can be done other than a) play region-5 DVDs (Asia, except China and Japan); or b) play region-0 DVDs (all-regions). Best of luck!
@@ak-t7d6f DVD and Blu-Ray use different region code schemes, the latter being a little simpler, as there are only 3 regions (www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00029369) plus a 4th, which combines all 3. However, the truth is the answer to your question won't vary from what has been said before about DVDs. In other words, if your PS4 is, e.g. American, make sure you either get a matching Blu-Ray or a disc that's been set to work on every region. I know, not what you would like to hear, but I hope I've helped somehow. Cheers!
I want to watch The Martial Arts Kid but unfortunately it is Region 1 NTSC and my PS4 is Region 2 Pal. I can buy The Martial Arts Kid online on BLU Ray from the US but if I buy it will it work on my PS4 or not. If it does not work is there a computer program where you can decrypt a Region 1 NTSC BLU Ray Movie to Region 2 PAL?
Oi, Jurema.
It does stay and you would have to revert back to the original setting if you wanted to watch a movie of the original region again. Granted, the catch is that the number of times you can switch back and forth is (rather) limited. I hope this helps. Regards.
Recently I bought a BD from America (Region A) and I tried to play into my PS4 (Region B) and there wasn't any problem, even tho the PS4 played the disc without even asked me If I wanted to change the region code setting, so my PS4 changed automatically the code setting or is free region? I usually played BD from region B but I just wanted to buy a limited edition that only was available in America but I was surprised that my PS4 could play this BD
+Kamikazechino Keep in mind that the region-selection screen I show on my video is related to DVD only. I have yet to try playing a BD from a different region. However, to address your question, there's a great number of Blu-Ray titles that will work across different regions, even though they are not explicitly labelled region-free. I guess and hope that this region thing will eventually go away. However, for the time being and especially for DVDs, it's still something to be concerned about. Thank you for sharing your experience on the subject.
+Andre Zunino I saw the box and the BD was free region whereas the DVD was NSTC, in fact I tried to play the DVD and I couldn't watch the movie due to regional code, just my mistake. Thanks for the video (and for answering so quickly ^^)
Can you help me please? My ps4 is Region 1 , but i change to region 4 to watch a brazilian dvd, now how can i change the region 4 to region 1? Please help me, i didn't find a answer of how to do this.
Yes, you should be able to revert back to the original settings. What you need to keep in mind is that it will count toward the maximum number of allowed changes (typically 4). In other words, when you first changed the region setting from 1 to 4, your "change count" was set to 1. If you change back from 4 to 1, the count will go up to 2. When it reaches 4, you will be stuck with that last setting. This whole thing may sound stupid (and I would agree), but the fact is this was never designed to allow users to freely change region settings according to their will. It was created so that users buying a DVD player from a region different than theirs could adjust the device to be able to play their local discs. I hope that helps.
Can you only change it 4 times per account or per ps4? I have 2 ps4's, so would be nice to have one set to A and one to B. But not sure if its linked to your actual account.
Hi. It's linked to the drive itself and not to any particular account. In other words, each change made to a particular unit will change that setting for anyone using that unit. Still, it sounds like your plan of having different settings for each of your 2 PS4 units might work. Good luck! Actually, now that I think of it, if you are actually getting access to the DVD region configuration screen, you could consider yourself lucky, as it doesn't seem to be the case for most people. Good for you!
@@andrez76 I'm assuming this only works for DVDs and not blurays? I wanted this for blurays but I dont think you can play region B or C blurays ? I can use my laptop to play different region Dvds.
@@lamNoJedi You're correct once again. DVD and Blu-Ray region-protection schemes are different beasts. They're only similar in how they are stupid and annoying. I have never seen nor heard of a region setting configuration for Blu-Ray playback on the PS4. Sorry.
I bought a DVD boxset from UK and it won't play on my US PS4. Which sucks. And now I know PS4 has limits on changing regions, I will have to buy a brand new region free bluray player that plays both DVD and Bluray.
I bought ps4 from USA...the ps4 was region 1...when i put region 2 DVD (for Europe)absolutely working...changed the region 1 to 2....also for games they didn't have any problem...this guy is 1000% correct!!!!!!
+requiembill Hi! I'm glad to know you managed to switch the region setting from 1 to 2 in order to enjoy your European movie DVDs. Just be mindful of the fact that the number of times you can switch regions from one to another is limited. Of course, if you intend on leaving it set to region 2 indefinitely, you should be fine. Cheers and thanks for your comment.
celtic2000viper I intend to do a similar test with Blu-Ray discs, but I need to get my hands on a Blu-Ray from a different region first. All I have access to right now are Brazilian and American Blu-Ray discs, which doesn't help since they are part of the same region. Thanks for your comment. Regards.
Yeah, that's the actual effect. Technically, it is like such discs have all the "region switches" turned on, so they will be compatible with DVD players from all known regions. Cheers!
Andre Zunino Hi, i was actually talking about a PS4 BLU RAY Game disc.. so if its written "ALL" at the back of PS4 game disc, it means it is compatible with all the PS4 consoles around the world...? Right? N can i also download all the DLC's without creating any other account... ?
Ah, OK. Well, basically, what was said about DVDs also applies here, i.e. the game being labelled ALL means it should play in any PS4 console. However, you are right to be concerned about DLC, as it does work in a more restrictive way. Unfortunately, you would indeed have to purchase DLC from a PSN Store matching the original region of the game. E.g. If you bought a game from the US and tried to buy DLC for it in a UK store, it would not work. The worst thing is that, AFAIK, there's no kind of warning. I hope this helps.
Andre Zunino Thanks andre, so i guess we need to create another account of the region we've bought the disc from, to download DLC's.. Anyways thanx alot for the reply.. God bless.
Ehy friend, i am italian, i want buy ps4 only for watch movie of other Region. Well the question is, the ps4 is region free for the movie of all' Region??? Thank and scuse me but i'm italian ;)
The PS4 is *not* region-free for movie playback. That's unfortunate, but it's how the industry has managed to set things up so they can have some kind of control over when and where titles are released around the world. Assuming you would be buying your PS4 in Italy, you should be able to play any region-2 DVD, which includes Europe, Japan, South Africa, Egypt etc. Make sure you check the region label when you shop for DVDs. I hope that helps. Take care!
If this is a thing, then why can't they just make it play all DVDs lol, the limit is BS and unnecessary.
They make sweet cash this way, duhh.
MeatNinja would probably make more in sales of they marketed the PlayStation as unlocked or region free.

Lets hope 4k uhd discs stay region free and the blu ray generation was the last of this ridiculous practice.
didn’t work for my Criterion collection
Awesome, thanks! I got a new movie coming here in the states from the UK. Now ill be all set :)
Matthew Roy Glad to be of help! Be aware, though, that some viewers have reported they could not get to the same region selection screen I show on my video. Is your unit's model number the same as mine (CUH-1115A)? Cheers!
I'm not too sure, where can I find the model number?
Matthew Roy Look under the console, near the back. You should find a model number of the form CUH-1111A. This might help: bit.ly/1Er3kbR. Best regards.
I’m really sad that they removed this, thank you for your video anyway though... :(
Wait. It doesnt work anymore? 😭😭
Thank you for answering this question. I could not find it anywhere else.
Sweet vid, bro!
Sadly there is no option on the australian version to change the region
Does anyone get this code? ce-35477-6 I can't find info on it ANYWHERE.
Thanks man I appreciate this video
They also have region free dvds /blurays at stores. But now it's basically everything online.
5:52 also Palau, Micronesia, Oceania countries. Guam and Mariana Islands and all US Territories uses Region 1.
Great video! Thanks a bunch! Now I can use the Xbox 360 for my European region 2 DVDs while I use the PS4 for American region 1 imported DVDs.
so, if I turn my ps4 into another region I still can play games normally?
Thank you man this helped so much
Thanks for that.
Hey so was it a bluray or dvd???
+Davelush s dvd
I have a PS3 slim and a PS4 and just ordered a Smallville boxset from Zavvi.com. It is Region 2. Will it work without conflict on my devices.
+Tony DeCarlo It should be able yo play on the game systems yes
My PS4 can't do this.. crap. I watched this video before buying a dvd collection from another region (can't get it here), but now I can't play it... I guess there has been some update that took out this region change option.
Thanks for the video, doesn't work on my PS4 though, glad yours works though dude. Enjoy matrix, I gotta go buy a multi region DVD player now in order to player my imports :-/
I tried a PAL Region DVD and a Blu ray on my North American PS4 and they both worked fine, weird.
Thank you sir you are a Brazilian GOD!!!
This doesn't work anymore..
Oh really? Thanks for your advice because I just wanted to try it. Thanks for saving my time and money.
It works, I just tried it today.
@@DAOMM Is the limit still 4 changes?
@@bimbo6345 It is.
@@DAOMM Will it work for Blu rays from Region B? Idc if it locks out at Region B, I can view Region A on xbox.. but will it affect games ??
Joshua Jantz is there a way to change the blu ray region setting
not that i know of
Tried it, sadly on my one the option to change region doesn't appear. I only get a black screen with the statement Mismatch between disc and player region codes. See disc packaging for details.
Same! Let me know if you found a solution
Whoever made region codes should make unlimited or uninstall it from ps4
Whoever made region codes should receive a cruel and unusual punishment.
Cheers!
It's all good man...not your fault...thanks for replying though and explaining...greatly appreciated :)
Cara,tu me sanou uma grande dúvida! Obrigado, continue com os vídeos. Abraço!
0:49 My region is also same bd region code but dvd is not. I mean region 3
Thank you for the help, im planning on getting a ps4 for christmas, and i have a lot of japan import movies, so now i can use them!
Take care.
Ok! Thank you :)
Changing the region would not affect Blu Ray playback, right? In other words, I'd still be able to play region A Blu Rays.
Andre Zunino Can you just set a different ps4 account to play other region dvd?
and keep your main account for the normal region?
leozar69 Unfortunately, that would not work. The region setting for movie playback has no relationship to the region associated with the PSN account. Best regards.
Ok, thanks for answering. : )
I think i'll just buy a cheap dvd player that plays any region.
thx again for answering.
+Saleh Mazin I'm sorry but I don't know the answer for that. I mean, you can try it, but I honestly don't think that would work.
Cheers!
Andre Zunino that helps, thanks so much! (probably won't work for me)
linoeleven The bottomline is that, although simpler and less strict than DVD region coding, Blu-Ray region-coding exists and may prevent you from enjoying a disc you buy from another region. If you were to buy it by walking into a store, you could always examine the box yourself and look for the region indication or some information that states that the disc is region free. If ordering it online, I'd do some googling. To be on the safe side, I'd try and stick to discs from my own region. Good luck. Cheers!
Thanks again. This particular disc I know for sure is Region B French, and doesn't exist for US. On DVD it does, but not BR.
It's the same for video games to right? If I can get a reply I'd appreciate it
It worked for me and all I had to do was put in the DVD from region 2 and it gave me a prompt to change it automatically. The whole "4-times" thing sucks though. Been wanting to watch this UK flic, "The Kid" for a long time now. Looking forward to it.
It must depend on the model.
im a bit late, but hopefully it works for my ps4 as im going to order a region 1 disk when im in region 2 with a region 2 ps4 lol
Hi mate I live in Australia and have a ps4 pro, how can I change my system to play a blu ray movie from the USA?
No good ???
Hey man, very helpful, thanks!
***** Thanks for your comment. I'm glad to be of help!
I hope this helps.
so doese this work on blu rays from the UK ? im only asking cuz i dont want to lose 40$ on 2 movies ive been wanting since i was 12
Hello, +NeyZunino
Im from, Holland but currently im living in Argentina. (so at the moment we are neighbours :D)
Before in Holland i had an Playstation 4 but i don´t have this one anymore.
(I hope im right!)
It´s cool to know that it´s possible to set the region for DVD (guess also Blu-Ray) to a other region 4 times so i would have to set those settings to region 2 like this in the future if i would go to europe!
Best regards and thank you for your comment.
damn , brazil. how much did that ps4 set you back?
NeyZunino oh 627 aint bad at all. I read all these horrible articles about the prices in brazil thats why i asked.
NeyZunino
Damn! Now I know why people in Brazil still play PS2 and even the Sega Megadrive/Genesis.
Actually im buying PS4 console from Qatar which is region 2.. and now im taking it to india.. will all the game CDs from india support? @Andre Zunino
Yes it will support all indian games DVDs definitely, but as explained in the video you can only change the region upto limited number of times, so better stick to buy DVDs from one region as per your preferences.
Your video is good, but the ps4 pro don't have this option.
Thanks for your support, I'm Brazilian.

Can I ask you about for Blurays, so the blu ray disc is compatible for any playstation region ?

Julien.
@@andrez76 Asian DVD also region 3 anyway (Southeast Asia, TW, HK, Macau and South Korea)
@@andrez76 Can you change regions of Blu-rays if not DVDs at least?
Oi. Você saberia me informar se funciona esse esquema no Playstation 4 nacional? Mudar da região 4 para região 1 ou 2? Obrigado.
Oi, Jurema.
After you change the region code does it stays that way or you have to change it again when you put the dvd back again?

I hope they will change every PS3/4 players to region 0 and ABC.
Thanks for share, very useful.
Do you know it still works with the current software? Also, can I change the region for bluray movies?
How you Chang it back then?
Does it use standard region codes? Such as 1-usa and canada 2-europe? If it does, 0 should be region free
So what happens when you're out of changes? Do you sell your PS4??
Is there any danger this will affect the games as well? It looks safe since it is build in the system's software i guess!
Doesn't work
Can you help me please?
Can I change the blu ray region
Do you know if ps4 games from South Africa would work on a Canadian ps4 ?
Does this still work? Bought a ps4 in The Netherlands, but I want to know before I buy a Region 1 dvd
So , you can only change 7 DVDs? Or do they mean you can change one dvd a maximum of 7 times ?
+Andre Zunino I will leave it in region 2...Greece is my place...spartaaaaans!!!aou aou aou!!!!
This is very helpful, does it work with blu-Ray DVDs ?
celtic2000viper I intend to do a similar test with Blu-Ray discs, but I need to get my hands on a Blu-Ray from a different region first. All I have access to right now are Brazilian and American Blu-Ray discs, which doesn't help since they are part of the same region. Thanks for your comment. Regards.
What does it mean when its written "ALL" in the region part..?? Does it mean it is same for the whole world..??
God bless.
Cmon bro straight to the point .. btw my ps4 doesn’t have that option ...
Take care!
Andre Zunino thank mister:)
so would South African games work on my Canadian ps4 ?
