- Oh how I love this special rainy game. I`ve worked on this since downpour came out and I have plans to make more Rain World animations, so stay tuned :)
Rain World is a game where you play as a Slugcat in a world left by an extinct civilization, with an immersive complex ecosystem in which you are trying to survive and find your way back, or uncover a path much more existential. The game has incredible lore and a way of telling it, and with this animation I wanted to commemorate its meaning to me and share it with you guys. I hope you enjoy!

Ascending them as saint felt very chilling. There was no reaction, just silence. glad I got to meet them again before going back on my quest to ascend all iterators
saint and moon may of been the last 2 tbh. its tough to know for sure. but with how all the other cans look in the background, its possible, and with how much time between saint and riv.
@@kennycarter5682 yeah, but I kind of doubt that though. Remember that not all iterators had the Rot, and yet 5P still lived as long as he did. And Moon, with only 5 neurons, lived long enough to go from Hunter to Rivulet, and then again from Rivulet to Saint with no visible further decay. I think that an iterator with no rot and no interruption in power could exist for an extremely long time, even past Saint.

As you ascend the iterators, there's no reaction, really.
Did they even see the X hovering over them?
Fp cocking his hesd to the side in confusion to seeing a flying cat was a little funny, but mostly gave me a bit of clarity of maybe how they felt before they were ascended.
I would be confused too...
@@appl7781 decaying functionally but ya they proably be stuck tending to their endless problems, i wont lie a small side game of saint going between the first zone and the rest of the local cluster would be oddly nice.

“You’ll live forever tonight” fits SO perfectly with Saint’s campaign. Amazing job! The poses (especially the little things like Pebbles cocking its head before getting ascended) was just *chef’s kiss*

@@Cerriot yes, but for saint, *they cannot ascend themselves.* they are stuck in the cycle AS the ascender, the key to getting out cannot get out themselves.

saint is the smallest slug and as such vary portable not to mention extremely mobile, and its also worth mentioning the three dots on their head.
"She seemingly succeeded, as she sent out the Triple Affirmative: That the solution had been found, that the solution was portable, and that the solution could be easily applied" -Sliver of straw the first know iterator to die.
(also challenge 70 where saint kills sliver of straw, It has been said that this is non-canon but none the less)
Saint might not be /the/ triple affirmative that Sliver found, but they're certainly /a/ triple affirmative!
I imagine Saint isn't the first Echo to be tied to the world by the desire to help others ascend. Mayhap SoS had a pet slugcat the same way Moon had Ruffles, and that scug was tied to the world by the desire to bring Sliver with them past Ascension. So once they succeeded with that they stopped wanting to come back like Saint does.
-They made their presence known to the iterators (solution has been found)
-They’re smol and very mobile (solution is portable)
-Their ability allows them to fully ascend iterators (implementation is possible/generally applicable)
-3 Dots on head (TRIPLE affirmative)
-Challenge 70 (which, despite not being cannon, could still possibly be hinting at something that _is_ cannon)
-Very heavy ties to the void sea (void sea is the only other known means of ascension)
Yeah…Saint is definitely, at the very least, _a_ triple affirmative.

Never played the game but I've inhaled much of the lore and man this video hits my emotions right in the kidney.
All I know in terms of lore is that there’s robot guy named pebbles, and he exists with cats that are also slugs.
@@B0LiMs_Artz he also killed his sister, but only kinda, he's also hc'd as the shortest because we all said so, he's also infected by weird blue pasta blobs, he also is the cause of the rain in the area you play in, he's also a catboy

Introduction to the snow always felt like a fading memory of a show’s intro you know you watched from your childhood, but just can’t seem to remember
the way how the collapsed interators from something God-like turned into innocent things is just sad
Its so sad seeing pebbles like that, barely being able to speak, the music pearl has been bleached by the sun and the melody is warped yet still recognizable as his sad boi music.
Iterators die so slowly, its a tragedy that they were programed into every living cell to be unable to self destruct, even if little of them remains, they would still not entirely die, not until every last living cell and bits of machinery wastes away to dust. I wonder if it ever gets to that point where they "die" would they wake up as they would as the moment of when they were first created since they never truly died in order to experience the cycle?

Oughhhh.. This video, it gives me chills. It's so so beautiful and it's put together so well and it's tragic but also peaceful. Uuuu... this game... shakes fist. So good. And you did them justice.
It hurts! It hurts so good. Also I love the small movements that give such great accent to the feel of the scenes... how easily you gave five Pebbles expression despite him just having two round eyes. My favorite moments probably would be the ascension moment (small ping...ough.. the fall) and the hug...
This is pure beauty in art form, you need a far larger amount of subscribers is what I am saying.

I may or may not already be working on a second and third part using more songs from Miracle Musical to make a trilogy of lore animations, so you will have to look out for that :). You've made something beautiful, thank you! It let me recontextualize the ending from pebbles perspective, and I was already near sopping over that dumb goof when I found him in the snow. I visited him five separate times, and every time his friendly, strained dialogue broke my heart. You've perfectly captured what is undoubtably my favorite moment in any game, ever, and from a new perspective no less. Thank you, I'm looking forward to see what you've got planned next!

Also, is there a specific mix for the Dream sweet and Sea Major and Introduction to the Snow that you used or is it mixed by you? I’ve been trying to find those two songs mixed in this way but haven’t found it until now!
@@HouseOnFireHelp yepp i mixed it myself, nothing fancy, just copy cut and paste with a little bit o rainworld sound effect in between to try and hide the transition inaccuracies :)
The way the falling snow looks like pencil colors and the Dream Sweet songs supposed waves could sound like a its a distant blizzard along with the high quality and all the details like how he picks up the pearl as the song is playing with the red glow around it. overall for being made by one person this is a great animation and I didn't know about Dream Sweet and introduction to the snow till I watched this. very good video, I am excited to see your future content!

okay but what happens when they find NoSignificantHarassment in the afterlife. considering the iterators were basically using discord as a way to communicate i wonder how the gang would react to meeting their friends in physical form
I imagine them finding NSH and Seven Red Suns together: Suns makes a fuss of Pebbles like a worried big brother, then NSH half-jokingly throws something (probably something soft) at him, or lightly hits him if there's nothing to throw. He might then get berated by Suns/Moon/both, but they end up laughing about it.
That's the picture I got in my head of their reunion.
This is how I know all the videos on RUclips are created by the algorithm. None of you are real. Loved miracle musical for years and I just finished rain world saint campaign, no way two of my two super niche interests would overlap in a video created mere hours ago. Why has RUclips never pandered to me in such a way before. It makes no sense.

God this video just caused me to have another emotion meltdown. Yet I can't stop listening to the music. Don't know why music has such a big effect on my emotions but now all I can think about when listening to this song on repeat is this animation and rain world. Games are one of the main things I spend my time on. I get so invested in them even without playing or owning the game myself. It's like even through videos I put myself into a little world every time I find a game with characters I really like. Mostly because my memory seems to be shot and I can't remember most of anything about my past anymore. Not that I think I have memory loss or anything like that. More like I just haven't thought back on it in so long that I just forgot. Forgot who I used to be and all the nice times I had before I had to start worrying about so many different things about my life. Now I would just rather spend my time living in the worlds in my head instead of dealing with all the troubles and worries that my life is throwing at me right now. I won't get to into detail because at the end of the day this message too will be forgotten. Lost in the sea of all the other messages I've made like this one. I just want to be anywhere else but here right now and I'm starting to lose it. I end up just laughing thinking about how much pain I would put myself through to live in worlds that by the end of the day, don't even exist. One of my most recent thoughts is what I would want if I died. Where would I want to go? At this point I can't make my mind up. There's so many different characters and worlds that I would want to be in other than my own that I just can't stop thinking about it. The funniest thing is I have no idea why I hate my life so much. It's not like I can really remember any of my past so it's not like I regret anything. Other than the simple fact I can't remember it at all. Also it's not like I put much thought into my future because in all honesty I'm still kind of hoping it ends before I have to think about it. Sorry about the rant, I just had to get this out like all the other times I broke down because of videos like this. Such lovely worlds that even in their darkest moments. Still somehow manage to endear me to the point of obsession. Not to mention the people I meet along the way. Anyway I'm going to stop before I double the length of this message. I love the animation and I think it helped me want to live through all of the problems piling on my life just a bit more. All I hope is that when I die. I get to see and live in the worlds of all these characters I hold so close to my heart. That is all, I hope everyone can have a nice day and to anyone else that feels like there at the end of their rope like me. I just ask that you hold on for a bit longer. There's always at least one reason worth sticking around. May not feel like it but it's out there. No matter how long it may take.
To add onto the end now that my head is more clear. These things that make life worth living may not be things that you can really see or interact with. If I had given up when I first thought about it then all of these little worlds that I have made would never have been mine and to be honest that really scares me. I'm going to end this here before I end up typing out another essay in my own replies. That is all I had to say. Hope everyone that is here has a good day. Even if you don't ever even read this.

In a context such as rain world, death means to live forever. Life means death and death means life. The goals and morals of the ancients when it comes to living seems to be the exact opposite to ours. To us, life is a warm embrace, just as death is a cold expanse. However to the ancients, life is as cold as a harsh winter night, with death being more of a release than an unknown.

It always made me laugh at the sound of a Saint ascend something. Well, like, you fly up into the air, concentrate your godlike power on the mind of a half-dead thousand-year-old machine, in an instant you send it to a place where thousands of them have been trying to get to for years with the sound of a *pancake blowing with mind*
This animation gave me a bigger rush if emotions than watership down

Haven't bought rain world yet, but when I do I'm gonna have fun blasting anything and everything in Saint's campaign.(Oh yeah and the long tounge thing.)
Just to let you know, you don't get the gun until very late in Saint's campaign. You need to jump through a LOT of hoops first. Before then, Saint is incapable of harming other creatures. They won't throw a spear straight and they refuse to eat flies. If violence is your goal, Artificer is a much better place to start

After playing saints campaign this just hit me harder than a train lizards charge
I watched this as a beginner of Rain World lore and thought that 5P was killed and LTTM was there in the afterlife with 5P, this is a good video to go back to for some good old day memories!
