- JUST FOR YOU NOT TO BE CONFUSED ABOUT HAWKS’S REACTION:
I absolutely love the theory of Hawks and Dabi being childhood friends(Them being together in The Hero Commission), so that’s why Hawks’s calls him Touya(sometimes, when it’s about Dabi’s past self)and his reaction is sometimes odd.💕
(But I tried to make the previous reaction abt Hawks canon, so dont mind it.😭)

The reason Dabi got burnt by his flames is because unlike his siblings, like Natsu or Fuyumi who's body's were more adjusted to the cold with their ice quirk, Dabi's body was more used to the cold and more suitable for ice quirks, which he had a fire quirk.

If he regretted the abuse, he would have stopped being a Hero, admitted what he had done to his family for 20+ years, and gone to jail. Abuse and neglect is a crime and saving people does not erase that fact.

No consequences (his family already hated him), the public loving him and saying his family is lucky to have him as a father, and the Hero title he abused them for. He's not facing all of it at all. Anytime someone in his family calls him out on the abuse he says he's changing or there's nothing he can do about it. He can leave. Spouses who were abusive to their SO or children get a divorce and go to jail. That should not change just because he's a Hero. That's unfair to everyone who has done the exact same thing and still went there.
You would not tell a family member of an abusive police officer that they should move on or he doesn't deserve to go to prison because he's putting people there and is changing. No, that's disrespectful and cruel.

Bro Shoto legit thinking that the world would be 100% better if he was never born absolutely breaks my heart. What Touya went through was horrible but I will always somewhat despise him for what he thinks is acceptable to do to such an innocent child. It wasn't Shoto's fault that he was born the way he was the same way that it wasn't Touya's fault that he was born the way he was. Touya's revenge has gone too far for making Shoto, Natsuo and Fuyumi suffer so much as well as the other countless innocents he killed, maimed etc... in his selfish revenge plot.
