I am a caregiver to my husband. He was not supposed to make it past last Christmas. Through a lot of prayers and support from our health agencies, he is going strong and I am very grateful. Due to my time spent looking after him my art work was pushed aside. My word for 2024 is create!
I wasn’t going to do a word, but the word “blessed” popped into my mind. I am sorting through health stuff and related anxiety. Focusing on how God is blessing will be good :)
Last year's word was consistency. This year's word is movement. Between pandemic and other illnesses I literally confined myself to home. Now I need to spread out, move and regain my strength
My word of the year for 2024 is pause. I feel like I do so much on autopilot and don’t get to enjoy Gods creation, my life, my family and friends, my meals, my work as much as I would like. Last years word was intentional. Past years words were: focus, contentment, listen, peace.
So many good goals! I am so thankful 2023 is ending better than it started for you, and I am SO excited to see what 2024 holds! ❤ Also, I might totally copy you and do only one personal goal while I focus on more business goals. 😊
I'll be curious to hear how your Pinterest (re)exploration is going! (My word of the year is "enough" and I'm most proud of learning how to navigate a new somewhat debilitating chronic illness well enough to be able to try and build my business again. woot woot!) I just love finding another Notion geek!
I love your channel. I find you’re so down to earth, motivating and I love Notion even more because of you. I purchased your Christmas planner and just love it so a big thank you! Tmw is the 1st day of 2024 so I’ll be reflecting on 2023, what when well, what didn’t and set my new goals after doing some home decluttering which is heaping clear my head. May 2024 be an amazing year for you and your family 🌸
Best thing that happened to me was getting laid off. It led me to starting my own business and the clients keep coming. I’m in such a better place now financially and mentally than I’ve been in years. My plans for 2023 went out the window, but I ended up with something so much better than I could have imagined.
Hello Kalyn! I recently found you on Open Roading. You and your husband are such a fresh breath of authenticity, honesty, and transparency. I look forward to following your journey and learning more about your businesses. By the way, you and Joe have mentioned you have other businesses. Where can I find all the links to your business so I can explore them? Happy and safe travels.
Dawn, I'm so glad you made it over to "this side" of youtube! And your words were so kind. I really appreciate that! As for other business links, I am a longtime blogger, and have an email that goes out called Monday Files, which you can find on kalynbrooke.com/. There's also a shop on there where I have my templates and printable for sale. I also own a business called "Brain Book" which is a lot of printable geared toward discbound planners. You can find that on BrainbookLibrary.com and JosephComings.com is where you can see more of Joseph’s podcast editing business. Thank you so much!
Sorry, this comment landed on the wrong video. It was supposed to go to Randall's modern life. They are also full time RV as well as photographers that shoot with old school 35mm. You guys are doing great btw, love all your videos as well.
My word of the year is "wisdom." I have had a word of the year for the past four years. They were "abide" in 2020, "joy" in 2021, "hope" in 2022, and "joy" in 2022. Each week in my planner I write a scripture related to the word and find an inspirational quote about it. Would love to know what others "do" with their words to keep them in focus throughout the year.
Wow thank you for sharing so raw and deeply your journey, SM can be "Highlight Reel" central so it's refreshing to get to hear real life sometime. My husband was laid off twice this year and the thought of getting a corporate job when I've been freelancing and homeschooling my boys for 5 years gave me that same feeling (😩 mixed with 🤢) so I totally feel you there!! But I too chose to surrender and trust the journey ❤
Those are great words! Balance is something so worthy of pondering and making efforts towards. What kinds of ways are you thinking to incorporate “Converse” this year? I’m curious!
@@KalynBrookeCo Primarily I want to develop my capacity to dialogue around my projects and conduct better conversation in all aspects across my balanced work life established last year. I like a word with expanded context… The word "converse" originates from the Latin word "conversari," which means "to keep company with". Embracing "converse" as my word for the year will prompt me to focus on improving conversational skills while practicing active listening, empathy, and I hope will strengthen my communication. It also has a duality of converse opposites in philosophical logic. 2024 has a lot of investor pitches to deliver and if all goes to plan transform my 2025.
First, I am team flavored water. Plain water=🤮 Second, my word for 2023 was release. I knew it was time to let go of closing all the rings on my Apple Watch when I came down with the flu and just didn’t feel like closing them. I had to release the need to continue the string of consecutive days. Third, my word for 2024 is create. I want to create memories, have a less cluttered house, have more organization within my house and new hobbies.
Thank you for sharing! The thing I'm most proud of for 2023 is completing an intense 5 day training with perfect scores on both the written and practical portion. Not going to lie though, I've been in somewhat of a slump since then (end of Oct) though. My goal for 2024 is to create 2 courses (live, in person courses in the personal safety space) and begin offering them by the end of May. I've never done a word for the year, I'm going to have to give that some thought!
1) The biggets thing I've accomplished is to getting know more about people and being a better person. I got much more creative instead of being just a NERD. I tried planners, bullet journals and now wanna go digitally too with you help . As a teen , it'll surely help me. 2) Soo that's why my word for the year 2024 is CREATIVITY. This is the first year I wanna choose a word just becuz of Masha Plans! 3) Talking about goals and habits, I'll email you cuz not decided yet much.
It is such a great thing to be able to get to know people more. But don’t be to hard on yourself for feeling like you were a nerd. There are very good things about having some of those “nerd” tendencies, as long as we balance them. Happy creating in 2024!
I was thinking it would be an amazing thing to get a garden planner/tracker (just as a future idea - maybe a little niche). But I would buy the hell out of that! I’m going to try to make my own for this year, but I am nowhere near at the level of expertise you are!
That would be so fun! I definitely want to put out some smaller templates throughout the year if I can. I’ll have to chat with you to see exactly what your ideal tracker would have! 🙌🏻😍
I recommend books by Nathaniel Philbrick. He’s very readable. I am reading a biography of Eliza Hamilton at the moment which is an easy, enjoyable read. My goal for this year is to write, but what to write?

Prayers to you both! xoxo
Oh my gosh, my word for this year is abundance as well 🎉
I love that!!
My word for 2024 is Balance, and it’s giving me a lot of hints and clues about my daily personal and work life !
Balance is such a wonderful, but challenging word! I hope that it proves to be a gentle reminder as you bring it into your daily habits!
I wasn’t going to do a word, but the word “blessed” popped into my mind. I am sorting through health stuff and related anxiety. Focusing on how God is blessing will be good :)
That is a wonderful word choice! Blessings to you in 2024!

Very understandable. Sending you good vibes as you create more strength and connection again!
I love your travel channel, great to find this as well.
Thank you so much!! 😍
It is really inspiring to hear you. Thank you!
Glad you are here.

Notion Geeks Unite! :D

I'm so glad you found this corner of the internet! Welcome! That sounds like the perfect plan for the first of the year. 🥰
Just found your channels and love! Love Trinity! Good job ❤on everything
Thank you so much! Glad you've found us and that you're here!
I want to read more nonfiction too! That’s a good goal. 👍🏻
Fiction is a wonderful thing, but so is nonfiction! Here's to us both reaching that goal this year! :)
My word of the year is "spaghetti"...as in, "thrown against the wall" which also happens to be the strategy I foresee for 2024 ;-)
Haha, Yep! I know what you mean. I hope you find quite a few sticky strands that will bring a lot of good things in 2024!
I have high hopes.

Isn't it funny how life can be like that? The scariest moments can turn out to be the biggest blessings!

Almost 2k subscribers!!! Wahoo. Dude you are on your way. Love the video and would love to see some of the film photographs.
Thank you so much for your kind words!

@@acidreign0911 No problem at all! I love hearing about others who are living this lifestyle!
I'm so excited for you and happy to hear things are on the upswing! Wishing you all the best in 2024!! 💕
Thank you very much! Happy New Year!
I am a plain water girl. It's all I drink, besides home brewed ice tea. And I also live FT in my RV since 2019.
Oh, how awesome! Love meeting other FT RV-ers!!

Love the life update! And your new word! ❤
Thank you, Rachelle!

@@KalynBrookeCo thank you same to you xoxo
My word for this year is perseverance.
I love that! Happy New Year. :)
Balance is my word for 2024
That is a great choice! A hard one, but such a worthwhile thing to put effort into!
Thank you so much for sharing!! So much food for thought!
You are welcome. Thank you for stopping in!!
My word for 2024 is ‘converse’. 2023 was ‘balance’. Abundance is a great choice.

My words for the year are: execution & abundance.
One of my big goals is to finish writing my book on abundance.
What kind of nonfiction do you want to read? I can recommend some good history books. I am reading one now.
I really enjoy personal development books and historical narratives that make it feel like you are reading a good story… but it’s true!
