I'm curious if weapons with a special name only exist to be one of a kind. From a gameplay standpoint probably not but from a lore/story standpoint then yeah it would make sense. Does anyone know?
multiple instances of a named item exist. the chance for a named item is 1/200 out of a HR boss. The chance for a SPECIFIC named weapon is 1/2500. this game has no lore but it is assumed from a lore standpoint by the community that yes there is only one instance

You fought back bravely, with all hopes still rowed up on the horizon, you landed a few hits thinking you have injured your opponent and you have a fair chance to end up victorious. The enemy rushing at you while you expect your next attack to hit the target, increasing your chances. Suddenly the opponent stands right in front of you, goes for the swing, you turn to dodge, you see a bright blue light reflecting off the surrounding area followed by a thunder, at the same moment you are left with the options to either spectate or to leave the game. You spectate your killer, seeing he barely lost any health points and check what he is carrying but you are still a bit too shocked to properly analyze the rolls. You close the game, all expectations changed.

I used to be top 1000 on Mordhau, and this game makes me feel like i just started any sort of hack'n'slash again. The shields and swing patterns are especially attrocious. I cant stop playing tho lmao
In games like chivalry and mordhau, your FPV animations seem to match up much more intuitively with what your swings actually look like. DaD seems more of an "artistic interpretation" of where your body and weapons actually are 😂

So, as fun as this is to watch, this has got to be the most unfun shit for all the victims. Like, if I got run over like this, I would genuinely question why I even play this game. Like, long term, gear disparity is actually going to be a widespread problem, if it isnt already. I hope they introduce some sort of balancing que or maybe a standard BR que where you start with nothing and work your way up, idk. Something which emphasizes skill expression more.
Tbf, Jay would 100% pubstomp them in a regular kit too, man's just different. But yeah, id punch my monitor if some dick in a probably 15k+ gear set killed me in sub 15.

is there a build that uses the sword that reflects spells, for instance like a tank build, damage reduction stacking or something? maybe with some way to self heal on hit or with spells, cleric maybe?

125 pretty disgusting, but i literally just saw a crystal sword dunk for a mixed total of 127 dmg total with warlock
Cheaper, 2/3rds of that is magic dmg, flexibility since you can keep the spells too, casting curse of pain makes the sword damage also heal you
crystal swordlock is underappreciated

Except they have no chance to take him out. The ranger towards the start hit him 4 times while he just memed in defensive stance missing the riposte. He did like 10% of his hp. Ofc Jay stopped meming and 1 tapped the guy, but he's gear checking. They do no stand a chance unless he literally let's them kill him with that kind of gear disparity.
