Hell i've seen people walk through Lunatic mode like it was nothing. Though canonically they are very powerful figures in Gensokyo. Reimu is the real op one though with her powers. Marisa's spells have a lot of kick but shes still just a human which if the spell card rules weren't in effect she would be very vulnerable.
And let's remember that Reimu is so lazy she barely if ever trains. Like, at all. She's running almost entirely on raw talent and, apparently, little more than the very basics of miko training.
Reimu and Marisa are supposed to be humain too. I mean two humains defeating the master of death is kinda overpowered even if they got magic or special power. I think even Zun said it's was unrealistic for shrine maiden to be this powerful.
In the games: big floating orbs that hit an enemy for *ok* dmg PCB: Fantasy Seal! EoSd: *LITERALLY A FUCKING SPIRIT BOMB* IN: semi-nerfed (I will agree fantasy seal is big overkill in the fanime, she kinda overuses it as if she didn’t have any other skills or moves.)

this episode is based from the game PCB also known as Perfect Cherry Blossom or Touhou 7. The final boss, yuyuko, is the character the two main protagonists (with the exception of sakuya), reimu Hakurei Reimu and Krisame Marisa are fighting. The incident is caused because of the Saigyou Ayakashi's (The tree without any pettles) absence in blooming causing yuyuko to take all the spring weather in hope that it will finally grow so she can find out what was burriend underneath it. The spring she took however is from Gensokyo meaning it has winter like weather throughout during the middle of spring. For more information, visit the touhou wiki, play the game for yourself or watch the first episode of fantisy kaleidoscope and you should see / find the whole episode but if you wan't to understand whats happening, i recommend you use a video / site which uses translations unless you can understand Japanease.

I find Reimu and Marisa too OP in the anime. I mean, they beat everyone like if it was more easy than easy mode but in the real game you struggle. '_'
