Found your comment re: desire to find a church teaching the TRUTH. Hope you have found a place to build your faith. My wife & I after years of hit & miss have happily found a fellowship in which we've grown in holiness. We're often at fault when we're in the wrong place (I certainly was) but when I finally agreed to enter into His Lordship....He began to lead us in towards the narrow road. If you're a Lawson fan, then you're on the right path already.

I can't belive I was allowing myself to knowingly do such wicked things after all that has been done for me! Forgive me father lead us back to you and be lord of our hearts and deliver us from temptation and the wicked one. Please don't make these mistakes I am guilty of family. 3:38 he scolds the congregation , in love, for their own good. I think that is sadly lacking in the Church today. We need more pastors like Steve. It would be uncomfortable to remain carnal or uncommitted in this church. Steve is another Adrian Rogers. Bless men like them.
I have a respect for Mr. Lawson. He scolds those who do not come to a monthly meeting for the Lords Supper. My Bible says "as often as you meet", just saying.

Killer message, this passage of the Word should be read at communion everytime taken.... The consequences are dire... This is urgent.. ZEAL.. PHINEAS, MOSES AND PAUL HAD ZEAL....JESUS HAD ZEAL IN THE TEMPLE TWICE... Though He slay me I will trust Him
Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ "alone" for salvation.
God is not killing people for partaking the Lord's supper unworthy, the churches would be empty if it was so. It's a metaphor for being spiritually dead; asleep is the opposite of watching (Jesus told us to watch) One becomes carnally minded again and blind & deaf for the saving knowledge of the truth. The carnal mind shows it self; with the Corinthians is was greed, selfishness and drunkenness; To be drunken is also a synonym for the influence of false doctrine.
We hardly get sermons like that in today's church. The word of God preached without any compromise.
