  • These aired during several episodes of "The New Scooby-Doo Movies" on Cartoon Network in March of 1998. This was when the Powerhouse era began, although some shows still used promos and bumps from the Checkerboard era and the short-lived Starburst era.
Features several promos for "Batman: The Animated Series" (at the risk of sounding like a broken record, rest in peace, Kevin Conroy), a promo for an "Alvin & the Chipmunks" marathon on SuperChunk, the special 2-hour "ToonHeads" episode featuring Academy Award winning cartoons and the then-upcoming "Beetlejuice" cartoon, based on the movie with the same name.
Also features a few commercials for Thomas the Tank Engine toys from ERTL (judging by the thumbnail).
What's also worth nothing is one of the "Cartoon Network Thing to Do" promos featured clips from the What-a-Cartoon! short "Meat Fuzzy Lumpkins", which of course starred the Powerpuff Girls. They would eventually get their own show 9 months later.
    Contents:
The New Scooby-Doo Movies - "The Haunted Carnival" (with Dick Van Dyke) (03/18/1998)
The New Scooby-Doo Movies - "Ghastly Ghost Town" (with The Three Stooges) (03/19/1998)
The New Scooby-Doo Movies - "The Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair" (with Batman and Robin) (03/20/1998)
The New Scooby-Doo Movies - "Wednesday is Missing" (with the Addams Family) (03/23/1998)
The New Scooby-Doo Movies - "The Frickert Fracas" (with Jonathan Winters) (03/24/1998)
The New Scooby-Doo Movies - "Guess Who's Knott Coming to Dinner?" (with Don Knotts) (03/25/1998)
The New Scooby-Doo Movies - "A Good Medium is Rare" (with Phyllis Diller) ((03/26/1998)
    Enjoy!

In my opinion, the highlight of this compilation is the ERTL Thomas the Tank Engine commercial at 10:09 (to the point of making this video's thumbnail). This was back when Thomas had high-quality episodes and high-quality merchandise lines.

Seeing Thomas and Friends commercials and content in general on cable television was like finding gold for me as a kid.

I sure would like to see Hewy Toonmore review the Chipmunk Adventure someday! (plus I still have my Lionel Train watch with me, but I can't remember!)

I remember watching Big Bag on Cartoon Network, but I think it would make More sense if Big Bag was on Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., and Noggin!😂🤣❤️📺🎶👍🏻

@ Nick Sullivan Cartoon Network was trying to compete with those very networks. It kind of would make more sense for Big Bag to be a PBS show, considering that the format is similar in concept to Sesame Street (and was even produced by the same company, Sesame Workshop).
