- King Kong: big, bold, aggressive, and in charge. But is there more to gorillas than what's suggested through these depictions? While they may be sizably striking, Silverback Gorillas are the quiet kings of the forest, leading their troops through their rainforest homes with generally calm comportment. Have a watch to see more about the gentle giants of the rainforest for World Gorilla Day 2021!
YOU can also take part in protecting apes in a number of ways. Check out this list for some at-home and in-person options to help protect apes from afar: bit.ly/HowYouC...

All footage was obtained through reputable, ethically-run wildlife sanctuaries dedicated to caring for their rescued primates and protecting their wild counterparts. Apes Like Us (under GLOBIO) and our partner programs in no way support the exploitation or trade of primates in any capacity (whether legal or illegal). Much of this footage was taken prior to enhanced health & safety restrictions with wild apes.

For *World Gorilla Day* , we at Apes Like Us (GLOBIO) are celebrating _ALL GORILLAS, ALL DAY_ ! Do you have a favorite sub-species of Gorilla? What's your best fun fact about these gentle giants? *Comment below!*
Gorillas are the most beautiful and fascinating creatures in the world🦍❤️
Grauer and mountain gorillas fascinate me. Beautiful and special animals who deserve a life of peace from humans.
Gental Giants ,all day long ❤️🇬🇧
Un ejemplar de gorila magnífico. Que sigan siempre ocupando su sitio en este mundo
They´re so gentle...
I can tell you this, if I were at a zoo or wild animal park I would far rather if one of the great apes got loose it was a gorilla or an orangutan than a male chimp!
samesiieees
nice doggie!
Yea, Chimps go to war! They are quite vicious and have been known to kill Gorilla's during these wars but I still love them too.
King Kong is violent because of his parents dying from Skullcrawlers and tries to protect his home and the Iwi people.
I love Gorillas heart shaped nose's! Animals of my heart. King Kong and Jaws were the two worst movies ever! Why on God's green Earth demonize animals that way? What will always stick in my mind was the day Harambe got shot over some mongrel kid that fell into his enclosure. The f*cken idiot mother saying to the kid, Mommy's here! I swear if I had a gun I would shoot and avenge Harambe. Gone but never forgotten.
I encountered a gorilla and he started speaking in a British accent and offered me tea
wow...did you accept?
@@ApesLikeUs yep, he then later became the new kong
It's amazing to me that they maintain their size with just "salad"!
No kidding! Imagine how much kale and broccoli we'd need to bulk up that much? 😅
@@ApesLikeUs No one would ever walk down wind of us again! 😂🤣
Long live the King of the Apes!
The Silverback has like pods in their chest to drum with. Is that right? ❤️🇬🇧
They have air sacks that pump up the volume, pump up the volume, dance, dance...
They are ferocious if you are new bamboo chutes!
@@scottjackson3940 that is so funny, you have cheered me up, 😂😂😂
Yes. All apes in fact have air sacs, though. Gibbons have the largest sacs, which are visible on their necks and carry their sounds across miles of sense jungle.
One may occasionally hear the gibbons near the often-recorded Momotaro and Shabani troops at their respective zoos.
i love gorillas. my ma met a gorilla once, she said it was so excited to see her that it kept drumming and bringing toys and doing tricks and reaching out to say hi. she said she fell in love.
