Mike, you and BTP have the best farming videos of everyone. You guys give the description and then let us enjoy the equipment working without awful music drowning out the sounds in the fields, or post 15 min videos with only 2 min of equipment. Keep up the good work.
Always partial to Farmhand Mike videos! I'm a next door neighbor to darke county (shelby county). The reason why I think so highly of these are about the equipment and how Mike talks about them, it's not "hey look at me and what I'm doing"
I can watch disk ripping/chiseling or inline ripping all day. There's just something satisfying about watching a big tractor working and doing what it was designed to do.
Spent a lot of hours in a 8630 and 8960 tractors. John Kinzenbaugh was a mechanical genius. He designed many different re power configurations for Deere tractors. Lot of them featured Detroit engines too. Looks like a strong pulling tractor. No lugging when he drops the plow.
I don't mind the short videos. Any video you produce is always worth the watch. I love the drown shots. You can see everything at once how the disk is working.
Neighbors had 2 8640 repowered, 1 was a series 1 that had the short hood and a series 2 with the long hood. They helped get them through some tough times.
A local farmer used to have a big Deere like this when I lived in Western New York as a kid. That beast pulled plows, disks, and stuck equipment like it was pulling nothing 💪
8650 is one of my favorite tractors. Hard for me to get use to that long snoopy nose though with Kinze repower. 8850 carries it much better imo. Still a cool old horse and video. Thank you.
I've always found it interesting that Knize did those repowers on John Deere tractors after John Deere basically tried to put Knize out of business in the early days when the Knize planters first came out.
Lovely video of a John Deere Soundgard 01:00 that left rear set of discs aren't really digging into the dirt compared to the right set. Is there any way to set them to disc better?
Hi My Name is Rod Van Bavel from Strathmore Alberta Canada I also farm to. Just Wanted to say awesome videos. I Like how you explain where the tractors are made and how much horsepower they produce. Thanks again and keep making these videos thanks
Rufflley what does it cost to repower 8850 I have a chance to buy one 22000 but it still has original engine in it but sounds good 6000 hours on it shedded nice one was kid of thinking anyway or down the road that will be replaced it it was worth buying and if I had to repower

I too had a kinze repowered 8650. They did a beautiful job. It was a better tractor than ever.
Nothing like raw sreel and no electronic s on board . best tractor ever built. 70's 80's tractors
The smell of freshly turned dirt and diesel on a cold day... love it!
That old Cummins is gettin after it. Getting plenty of subsoil shatter ripping at that speed. Tool does an excellent job.
I've been a critic in the past but this is what I expect from Mike! Great video! Great machine working on feeding America!
excellent engine ... no trace of smoke and behaves very stable under changes of effort

NICE rig and doing a great job!
I enjoy watching tillage videos. Those Kenzie repowers are cool tractors.

Hello! The most suitable soundtrack for a farming video is that engine`s growl!
Love the sound of a kinze repower👍😁
Nice video again Mike👍👍
Good video, Mike. I never heard of a Kinze repower before so I looked it up. Interesting.
That ripper is certainly doing a great job of turning the ground brown Mike.
Great field-action-video!
Thanks a lot for sharing! 😊👍🏻
You will never go wrong with a Cummins
Awesome video. Thanks again.
Great video as always

Sure like that working , I look out my window and there’s leftover from winter storm that went thru last night and dropped off @ 3 inches of snow !

It looks like that left rear gang wing is bent.

I like Mike less videos on RUclips, from the imperial co California. Merry Christmas.
I farmed in the Imperial County in the early 80's.

What size engine was it repowered with?
855 Cummins.
BRAAAAP
I think this tractor is made for over 10 000 operating hours.
Looks like that Cummins is more than a little more powerful...just saying
Without it that tractor is a 🐕
Same tractor on my channel
Where are you located?
@@farmhandmike Alamo Tennessee
only 7 shanks 🙄
The intro was so annoying I couldn't do it
Right but you could hang around to comment.
