    Amazing how much history can be in this place

      I found out that Rome always shows something unique everytime I walk around. Small and big discoveries all around many places I've been hundreds of times. It's truly a majestic city

      I haven't visited it but I know about many of its buildings and history from lectures. Not only the ones crowds of visitors are going to, but the lesser known, like the early Christian churches and so on.
      What amazes me the most are the Aurelian Walls, is like a living chronicle the way they look with all those reconstructions from various epochs

    • @StillWanderer
      @StillWanderer  3 года назад +1

      @@andreistirbu2733 Indeed Andrei, the Aurelian Walls are truly something.
      I bought recently a book from "Alberto Angela", an italian historian/TV divulgator about the history of Rome before the fire in Nero's time.
      Stunning to read about the evolution of the city in the centuries and how Rome really changed always.
      If you ever come to Rome, please write me, as I can suggest where to go or some unusual places around!

      Thanks Jerry. Lately I was thinking the same actually! Maybe make shorter ones for a single city, in order for them not to be too long. Thanks for suggesting!

      If you come to Rome give me a call! I'll try to visit in the future some towns (time and work permitting...) which are almost-unknown to tourists. There are usually only the most famous shown here but I believe they deserve to be seen and known because they're very pretty too!
