Hypersonic sonic missiles are NOT faster than a ballistic missile. Wish the talking head's would get the truth. They can maneuver but so can bullistic missile to a lesser extent a d at Mach 5+ they can not out turn a slower missile. The SR71 took 3 states to turn 180 decrees.

I'm guessing if they have the technology they aren't going to reveal they have it. Also hypersonic missiles are fancy and very expensive. Fortunately the US has a lot of less expensive and more accurate to destroy enemy targets that won't fall short of getting the job done. 💪🇺🇲

@@cooldudecs you’re forgetting maneuverable, and that makes them dangerous because you can’t intercept them easily. They don’t need to be highly accurate specially if they’re carrying nuclear warheads because the damage they inflict covers a wide radius. I’m just surprised we’re behind China and Russia on this and that’s why Putin is so bold in attacking Ukraine. I just hope we do have deterrence capabilities and just keeping it a secret for now.

@@MrDac0964 we (USA) have recently tested a hypotonic missle successfully. It was actually alot more technically advanced. Google it. I happened while the Ukrainian War was in the early stages and it was kept secret so not to provoke a nucular War with Russia. But it was later revealed.

Nobody knew America had the Nuclear Bomb until it was used. The US Military never divulges everything it has. With a defense budget over 12 times that of Russia however you can bet America's ICBMs are more advanced and they likely have classified defense systems.

There is another cheaper alternative for USA - stop playing great power politics and allow the UN to fulfill its role as imagined. Let world be peaceful, let Russians sleep well knowing that MAD still works, let china too to reach MAD levels nukes by 2035 and do nothing to counter them, work with them, share the responsibility.

Our lasers can just heat things up right now though! But its a start. Just enough heat to blow a hole in the side is what we need to make it not able to fly!

      G'day,
Actually, it looks as if Russia and China and North Korea are trying (and succeeding with) the Star Wars Gambit , which Prissydunce Ronnie the Dementing RayGun(Zap !) was manipulated into using against the USSR during the 1980s.
First, announce a theoretically achievable High-Tech Weapon , then it was an array of. H-Bomb powered Space-based X-Ray Lasers to kill "Enemy" (Any Me ?) ICBMs in Boost-Phase - and spend a big heap of money on trying to make the Hardware function as advertised...; in order to force one's Adversary to bankrupt themselves while trying to defeat a threatening Fairy Story.
The US enjoyed great success (Suck Cess ?) with the "Deployment" of the Star Wars Gambit, causing the USSR to implode when it attempted to build and field enough ICBMs to be able to defeat Star Wars Defence with over-saturation.
The US didn't develop Hypersonic Cruise Missiles, because they're a dysfunctional money-pit, which can occasionally fly a short Suck Cess Fool Test Flight for the Propaganda Cameras.....; but now that Russia and China and North Korea have CLAIMED to be working the bugs out of Hypersonic Cruise Missiles, then Unkle Spam's Pentagonal Haemorrhoids are predictably rising to the Bait, and throwing money at defending against all their own Paranoid Delusions.
      Apparently,
      Sauce for the Goose...
      Works just(ifiably ?) as well
      On the
      Gander...!
      Such is life.
      Have a good one...
      Stay safe.
      ;-p
      Ciao !
