From EWTN: Whatever Pope John's disposition was, however, before the second session of the council could open, he died. His last words on his deathbed, as reported by Jean Guitton, the only Catholic layman to serve as a peritus at the Council, were: "Stop the Council; stop the Council." In any case, it is a fact that Pope John signed not one document of the Second Vatican Council.

I'm just learning John 23rd, may not be as bad as I once thought. JPII is another story. JPII is really not much different than Frances. Paul 6, was a wolf in sheeps clothing and Benedict XVI, I'm not sure what to think of him.

I'm wondering on why the popes starting from the year Our Lady of Fatima appeared, did not fulfill Our Ladies requests like Consecrating Russia to Her Immaculate Heart and revealing the 3rd Secret. How can they say they have devotions to Our Lady if they all fail to do our Lady's request? And during the world day of prayer at Assisi, all kinds of religions are there, St. Pius X is a Pope who condemned brotherhood to other religions and he is the only pope who lays at Vatican incorrupt. After that gathering at Assisi, all other religions who attend their just come back to there horrible doings. Let us remember what Our Lord Jesus have said ' I have not come to this world to bring peace but sword!' May God bless us all. 🙏

***** How are sede's protest-ant? They are protesting the Holy Father. Starts with that. Luther loved Our Lady too & yet he protested the Holy Father. King Henry loved Our Lady too & yet he protested. Yes, bring people to the faith. Stay in the ark come what may. As you know not everything the Holy Father says is infallible so why do you get all up in a hissyfit about this or that? Every pope has said things in error. We've had bad popes before. Why do you critique every syllable he says? Where's the joy? Who do we convert when we are blasting the Holy Father everyday? Want to be saved? STAY IN THE ARK no matter if the people in the control room are a bunch of idiots or amazing people. See the sermon "Christ is the Point" on here

"Sede's are basically protestants" "They are protesting the Holy Father. Starts with that."
      1) Sts Bridget and Catherine of Siena were protesting acts of the then Holy Father.
      2) Caerularius was protesting the Holy Father and in fact Saint Pope Saint Leo IX.
      3) Whoever was the wrong Pope during the Western Schism was protesting the right Pope and was so technically protesting the Holy Father.
      Are all of above Protestants?

If you think John XXIII is a Saint, why don't you follow his example!
How was his attitude to Clement XV?
Btw, since you mentioned his grave has not been silent, while that of Saenz y Arriaga has, how about searching out if miracles happened after Clement XV / Michel Colin died in Clémory in 1974? That one you never mentioned, so far (I am only half way through).

    • @hglundahl

_" The only issue is they don't believe the Popes can be heretics, that is their doctrine."_
A validly elected Pope cannot have been heretic at moment of election and can probably not fall into heresy after election either, but if he does, loses papacy.
To be more precise, if he does so in external forum, loses papacy in external forum.
I think you will find this is a position upheld by quite a few authorities whom you are accepting as a non-sede but traditional Catholic, most notably St Robert Bellarmine.
The question about Pius XII is whether he was and remained a valid Pope, or was subtly heretic before and therefore never was elected or, the utterly improbable case, apostasised and lost papacy in perhaps 1950* (a year in which Michel Colin got a private revelation saying this had happened).
The case Bergoglio is much clearer, it seems he was a heretic before election of 2013 - and while that invalidates the ecclesial act of canonisation, it doesn't necessarily mean in itself neither of the two men were saints.
I had myself heard of the two miracles of Wojtyla, considered that neither of them meets the Lourdes standard, one was delayed, while the healing was even so remarcably rapid, one had relapses.
I considered those meant he made it at least to Purgotory, which was sth God might want to signal since acts in Assisi 1986 and 1994 made even that doubtful. I had no idea about the healed nun, and thought Roncalli on the other hand had gone to Hell, perhaps he hasn't.
And if Vatican II is NOT a second miracle, he might be a beatus - it might be right for some to honour him.
Now, if he was a bad Pope since a non-Pope (confer claim of Michel Colin), he can still have been a good priest.
      * Humani Generis leaves a door open for clearly non-patristic readings of Genesis, and an act in 1951, though less than an encyclical, seems to clinch it that way - which is against Trent.

_"Protestants, like Easter Orthodoxy reject the Catholic doctrines that the Pope has authority over the Universal Church."_
Protestants also reject quite a lot more than Eastern Orthodox. Like Holy Mass being a Sacrifice, like Sacraments being seven, not two or three, many (but not all) also reject Real Presence in the Blessed Eucharist, and all or most (all exc. some High Church Anglicans, perhaps) pretend Eucharist can be licitly celebrated by someone who does not need to have Apostolic succession.

pope john xxiii didn't heed the instruction of our lady of fatima to read publicly the third secret; had he read it perhaps Vatican II could have been prevented to sow some heresies in the Church. How could a pope be canonized saint disobedient to God's mother?

Remember two things and remember them well.
    1) A canonization is infallible. Benedict XIV spoke at length on this as did St. Bonaventure.
    2) The Church states in no uncertain terms that bad mouthing a saint is gravely sinful as it constitutes blasphemy due to the saint's relationship to God and heresy as it denies the authority and Divine protection of Holy Mother Church.
Be very careful what you say in response to this video. You could easily walk on unholy ground.

@Robert Tevault It's been two years since I wrote that comment. In that time I've grown less and less comfortable with anything Francis has declared including canonizations.
What worries me in particular is he seems to push hard to canonize popes who participated in the Council and has done so without applying the kind of scrutiny once required of the process. I sincerely hope these men are in heaven. If they are I guarantee you they have regrets they've had to turn over to God regarding decisions they made as Pope.
I also know I could not in good conscience venerate Francis when a future Pope inevitably tries to canonize him (barring any public conversion before be dies).

The Fr. preacher had an exclusive honor, a personal experience, an emotional jolt regarding the pope and he is now convinced of his holiness. And what's more he almost basically knew J23rd because of his elite circumstances! Amazing! Must have been quite an emotional ride! A privilege! Wow what a story! In fact being closely acquainted with these "holy giants" he is almost up there as well!
People have every right to be disgusted at the state of the papacy (J23 and P6 were basically bloodline jews without a spine), the papal office has been sliding downhill ever since 1929. Lateran Treaty, the end of effective Monarchical power of the Pope. The Fall of Rome 1870.- 1929. was the era of crisis and saintly Popes. Don't think Pius XII was any better (well he was in moral teaching), his administrative oversights, deliberate or negligent, brought forth many of the early children of the Revolution in the Church.
What shouldn't do is despair (easier said than done), because this is the cross God wills us to bear. Being subordinated to incompetent or ill willed men is a terrible cross but the supernatural virtue of Hope demands we carry it to a better end. God forgives the idiot and the repentant - and so should we.
Remember the French Revolution, the King who paid with his head was more or less a pious man, but the several Kings preceding him who had all the time in the world to consecrate France to the Immaculate Heart were rotten. Innocent blood, innocent suffering is what expiates the sins of the world.
_Whom God would destroy [convert], He first makes mad._ The papacy is in the state of madness, we have had contemplative revolutionaries, we have had a traveling rock-star, we have had a faux conservative, and we have a worldly publicity loving materialist (the first "humble" pope).

I will openly and honestly say, in response to the Calumnies, that I would actually start by watching some of the Rev Anthony Cekada videos before tossing such libel. The sedes are the same group who were part of the opening group of SSPX, just like the founders of the FSSP. The difference is the sedes that are seen publicly werebthe cream of the crop of the opening years, and more accomplished than Berg and Bisig. Anyone familiar with those years knows this. Sanborn, Kelly, Crkada and Jenkins (as well as Cooramswamy) were the heads of the American Chapter, seminary and philosophy, literature and canon law departments. I would challenge anyone to read the online articles by Cekada and call him a cook. I attend an FSSP and SSPX chapel, but pretending what I’m saying in this post is wrong is just ostrich syndrome. This sermon is outrageous and effeminate. And thus must be publicly rebuked.

8:30 Could win hearts over to the truth - sure.
But if a certain society turns heartless and persecutes a heart won over to the truth, should the Church not condemn it?
And that is what every false religion and ideology is doing.
Some priest is having a nice chat with a Protestant, hears the Protestant express worries about the mental balance of en ex-Protestant prospective or already convert, and the priest who is chatting with him lends his ear. He is also chatting with a Muslim, a Jew sometimes even a Mason and a Commie .... do you see where denunciation might rationally come in, with all Fiducia we can have to Our Lady?

      Jesus Mendoza a quick correction.
      The Catholic Church is perfect and cannot suffer "degenerative"(ly) or deterioration ...The correct view is that;
as before with the Arians, we are a in a state of remnant.
See: The massage from Our Lady of LaSallette. "Rome will lose the Faith... ...The church will be in remnant."
Also read 2 Thessalonians, and Apocalypse...
It is men of bad will that deteriorates not the Church.
The Church & church militant is suffering persecution as Jesus did too.
This is the limited fruition of the evil prophesied about concerning the vatican 2 sect aka The Whore of Babylon who are "Catholic" in name only.
Your use of the word mortality is wrong too since that suggests Jesus is a liar when He reveals in Matthew 16 that the gates of hell will never prevail against His Church.
And all vain attempts are simply a sifting of the wheat.
      i.e.
Faithful from the "faithful" (the judas es from the elect).
