Some dickheads just feel powerfull putting hate on a child. They have "online-balls" behind their anonymy but are the biggest wimps IRL. Too bad she had to deactivate comments because of all the haters. Kids are awesome. And some kids just have the potential to change the world with positive energy. And Nandi just has such a great personality.
Wow, Nandi is something else. And Dave Grohl this just speaks volumes about you as a person for taking the time out of your schedule for her. This world needs more people like Dave Grohl!
I've been watching Nandi for maybe close to two years now, and you nailed it . . . her FACE. She exudes pure joy when she plays. Its more than she can contain. I am in awe.
Love seeing the reactions of pros to this monstrous little drummer. All of her heart & soul comes out in her performance. It's infectious & just pure joy to watch.
It’s pretty crazy, Dave responded to her challenge and gave her a song, she did it pretty perfectly less than a week later, and Dave just responded today by writing her a theme song
So, Lenny Kravitz gifted her his Gibson Les Paul. Then Tom Morello gifted her his signature Fender Strato. Now Dave F-ing Grohl has written her a theme-song. This girl has some qualified (and dedicated) fans.
And 3 months ago, Fender gifted her with her own custom purple Stratocaster! Not to mention Bring Me The Horizon sent her a signed drum head after seeing her cover of Mantra, and Muse after seeing her cover of Hysteria shared it on their Twitter feed saying: Incredible! Thanks for sharing, Nandi . She also got to jam with Lenny Kravitz during a sound check at one of his show's last year! And Ellen DeGeneres flew her out to California last year to be on her show and gifted her with her first bass guitar! And after taking in Enter Sandman, Kirk Hammett shared it on his Twitter feed and stated he was very impressed! QOTSA has shared her No One Knows cover saying Awesome. Her cover of Heathens earned her a share and high praise from Josh Dunn of Twenty One Pilots , Arctic Monkeys have chimed in too. The list just goes on and on. I think Questlove of The Roots gave her a set of autographed drumsticks too!
you guys go check out the song she wrote to dave grohl in return. It's epic. She does the vocals, bass, guitar, drums, keys and sings. It's seriously good for a musician at any age. let alone a 10 year old. She's a beast.
also check out "my rock & roll" her first ever song she composed herself, wrote the lyrics herself, filmed, cut, recorded, mixed and everything herself, with a little explanatory help of her dad. She is having so much fun and way too much positive energy. I truly want to be her neighbour, esp. on days im not feeling happy. I would be the guy knocking on the walls, yelling... but not "turn it down, quit it"... I would rather yell "hey its 5 pm, where is the drum practise" or "hey, dont stop the drumming, it's way too silent" :PI want to buy her record directly on a concert and get it signed. She is the shining light needed in these dark days.
and then Dave invited her onstage and she absolutely smashed it in front of 20000 people with Taylor sitting with his son behind her watching and the rest of the band playing and enjoying the show.
When I started this I thought, he doesn't know what he's in for! And your reaction is so honest and joyful. It's impossible not to grin & laugh when watching her perform! She has an amazing talent, but her exuberance, her joy, her glee, that's incredible to witness. It's like rediscovering Everlong for the first time all over again! Thx so much for this reaction, I've watched it several times! The U.S. is a stressful, scary place right now, so finding a few minutes of happiness & peace is a gift. I appreciate what you do. ❤
The secret is good parenting - and boundless energy, and it's not just drums, she's a multi instrumentalist and she's a wizard with the RC-505 so she could be her own band
If you haven’t seen it yet…… she got invited to play at a Foo Fighter’s show. Yeah Dave tells everyone about being called out for a Drum Challenge and they have her perform at a live Foo Fighters concert. It’s really great!
The most important thing is, she's on time. NATURALLY TALENTED. I started playing drums around 8 and was nowhere near this level. There's no stopping her. Big respect to the parents.
How about it Kenneth, she's absolutely passionate about it, and the fact that she's already gotten the attention of Dave Grohl who has accepted her challenge is a sign of better things to come for her, and as you say, her parents are obviously supporting her in the right way. And I hope that she sticks it out, and becomes a household name within the next few years.
Back in the day when Dave was the drumer for Nirvana he was famous for hitying harder than the other drummers. His raw explosive style of play was so different to what others ware playing and it complemented Kurts raw vocals. Since the death of Kurt Cobain and dave quiting the drums this no one could even come close to the raw energy of Nirvana. This girl has the same energy that transcends music. She is not only an awsome drummer but shes pure dynamite. There are allot of technical drummers but the energy internauty that this girl emits is just mind bogling. The last time such raw energy was unleshed on the music scene was when Nirvana shifted the plate tectonics of the music industry. This girl will send shockwaves around the world. The fact that every rock star of the 90’s that witnessed Nirvanas grunge revolution understands why this girl will send shockwaves that will have a profound impact on modern music. Kurt Cobain once said that Punk rock is freadom. Listening and watching this girl play embodies these words like no other person.
I can't help smiling everytime I listen to her. She has all that raw energy, all that unbridled passion and otherworldly talent! She's just a joy to see and hear. Can't wait to see what's next. Thanks for sharing this, Kenneth! (Also, you sound a wee bit like Eddie Murphy sometimes!) Cheers from Patagonia!
Please watch the whole progression of this Drum Battle. His final response to her had me crying like a little baby, but with the most joyful feeling in my heart.
Almost exactly a year later, Nandi performed THIS song LIVE with the Foo Fighters at the LA Forum. (Just a few days ago as I post this!) And she was amazing! There are dozens of vids out there and they're all not to be missed. ruclips.net/video/ildwhc9F22Q/видео.html
She's better than me, but she's no Yoyoka, the current gold-standard. THAT SAID, girl drummers are GOLD. Each of them is worth their weight in GOLD, whatever the age.
Foo Fighters brought her up on stage a few days ago in California. You gotta see the video. She took their drummer's place for this song. It was epic to say the least.
I just discovered Nandi. She’s amazing. I’ve been following Jonah Rocks for years. He’s an excellent kid drummer. In the first video I saw he was about seven but he started at 5 years old. Now he’s 16. This is a side by side of him playing Toxicity at 5 and 15. ruclips.net/video/9KzhdTHtCNM/видео.html You really need to look up his Bat Country cover. Whoa.
She’s uploaded the video of her and Dave Grohl on the song he challenged her to, I sincerely hope she stays on the path she is on it’s impossible not to watch her RUclips videos and not smile.
Wow, she’s really good! Enjoyed watching her and a few other vids of her. Can I recommend doing a reaction to vids by another 10 year old girl drummer named Yoyoka and is all over you tube. Seriously. Check her out.
What makes Nandi great is that she challenged Dave Grohl on Insta and it was a 3 time thing and he said "she beat him on his ass" all 3 times. He even wrote a SPECIAL piece to trip her up. No luck for him! So he brought her to the opening at the Forum. And if he and Taylor aren't careful, the Foo Fighters may get another drummer! But not just Dave Grohl. Lenny Kravitz and some other famous guy brought her a gift from Ludwig, a mahogany drum kit, complete. She's had master classes from the drummers from Queen and some other groups. She has a YT channel.
She’s cold!!!! Be on the look out for her
No joke there... shes basically legend now lol... itll be cool to see what she does with her talent... rock and roll lives!!
Haha I think it's impossible to watch Nandi drum and not smile. She's amazing but also the joy she's putting out is infectious!
She's awesome 🤘🏾
I actuall almost start to cry waching this girl and when she screams ..AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!! I'm done finished goodnite
Seems like it would be impossible but some haters still thumb her down which I just do not understand!! 🤯
Some dickheads just feel powerfull putting hate on a child. They have "online-balls" behind their anonymy but are the biggest wimps IRL. Too bad she had to deactivate comments because of all the haters. Kids are awesome. And some kids just have the potential to change the world with positive energy. Yup. I could not not smile. Not that I tried, but I just noticed I couldn't stop smiling.
Wow, Nandi is something else. And Dave Grohl this just speaks volumes about you as a person for taking the time out of your schedule for her. This world needs more people like Dave Grohl!
This little girl has me in tears. I can feel her passion, energy and attitude in all her videos. She’s a beast.

She played this with the Foo Fighters at the Los Angeles Forum last night. Nailed it.
I've been watching Nandi for maybe close to two years now, and you nailed it . . . her FACE. She exudes pure joy when she plays. Its more than she can contain. I am in awe.
She makes me laugh and cry at the same time! Good God, that energy...I want that!
Must be his first time seeing her....she is a well known Prodigy amongst the stars and musicians.
A few nights ago she performed Everlong with the Foo Fighters in concert at the L.A. Forum. She rocked!
In 2020 we need this in our lives. She's amazing. MORE and MORE and MORE of her please.
Love seeing the reactions of pros to this monstrous little drummer. All of her heart & soul comes out in her performance. It's infectious & just pure joy to watch.

Can't wait to see her play with the Foo Fighters! She is awesome and love that accent!
I love how her face alternates between eye of the tiger beast mode and pure joy. This the look of someone who has found their passion!
The secret is good parenting - and boundless energy, and it's not just drums, she's a multi instrumentalist and she's a wizard with the RC-505 so she could be her own band

I'm in love! Never get tired of watching Nandi. Her facial expressions remind me a lot of Billy Higgins.
Just a big smile on my face the whole time. Girl has some chops. She needs a sick band.
If you haven’t seen it yet…… she got invited to play at a Foo Fighter’s show. Yeah Dave tells everyone about being called out for a Drum Challenge and they have her perform at a live Foo Fighters concert. It’s really great!

There’s no doubt about it, she was born to play drums!
now she plays almost every instrument and is only getting better
her skill and passion is unmatched, so inspiring!!
There's alot of kids out there that are good drummers but none of them have that fire that Nandi has!
Wait 'til you see her version of "My Generation" by the Who, her tribute to Keith Moon. She really has that Animal Vibe. Absolutely stunning !!!

How about it Kenneth, she's absolutely passionate about it, and the fact that she's already gotten the attention of Dave Grohl who has accepted her challenge is a sign of better things to come for her, and as you say, her parents are obviously supporting her in the right way. I wonder how John Bonham or Neil Peart would stack up to her when they were 10, because it's plain to see that she is gifted.
