I took a class on this. The teachers were art teachers. To paint, always use a white undercoat. The add layers of whatever colors you desire. Don't seal until you're satisfied with the coloring.
Thank you for this EXCELLENT teaching video. I will enjoy making some of these leaf castings for my garden. Have you ever used a spray stain after they have cured? Do you use a concrete sealer? LOVE THE MUSIC.
Thanks very informative. I prefer no music on how to videos though as it tends to drowned out or compete with the speaker. I am wondering what type of paint you will use?
I am just starting this and you gave me some great ideas! I need to know if it's necesssary to cover the leaves with a sealer before painting them? I am at a sticky place where I am afraid to do anything because I don't want to ruin my leaves. Thanks so much!
I did this and it was way easier to just make a dip or hollow spot in damp sand and then lay the leaf in it and fill with concrete...I made stepping stones with them.
I use acrylic paint like "Patio Paint" (this is for outdoor use) & seal them with several coats of Krylon spray. I have not used a spray stain-- but sounds interesting! :-) Thanks for comments- sometime, I hope to do an "ideas for painting" video.
Nice job, this is one of the better tutorials on leaf vastngpppp
GREAT video! Thank you for being thorough and taking us through each step of the process. I'm looking forward to giving this a try :)

Wie kann ich die Beiträge auch in deutsch hören
Educational... but the music is taking away from what you trying to teach and it's very disappointing.
when that video was made? 1975?
puduugam samayl
That music actually detracted from your video which was otherwise informative.
I agree....what's with the damn music with the videos? I find it highly unnecessary and even distracting most of the time.
While I love that song, I couldn't focus on you and had to stop a couple of mins in.
Too much talk! OMG, directions are fine but there's too much chatter in this video.
