It took them 10 years to get to Name, and from what I've read at that point they were going to hang it up because they were just in their 30's. Of course he wrote IRIS and that as they say gave them the ability to carry on as they do today. I cant stand the whole "sold out" thing. Bullshit. These guys earned it all the hard way.

love love all the people digging this band. they r the s#it & sooooo underrated...I think "slide" in 1995 was the song that made them an overnite sensation, black balloon was released in 1999. don't hold me to that but ahhhhh u gotta LOVE johnny rzeznick, soo talented & so hot. I love that he was a plumber prior to this gig. u tha MAN!

@TheLivelaughlove28 John wrote it about a girl that Robby dated who was addicted to drugs. It's about how Robby was watching her slip into addiction, but was unable to help her. He and Robby felt she had become victim of her own upbringing and of herself. He ended up having to step back and remove himself from the situation and this song is about that. Hope this helps :)

I kinda feel bad for them, they just did a concert at the NM state fair. That had to suck. We (NM), ain't shit., these guys deserve better. Although we can let them enjoy NM chow. I totally screwed up, but I can't walk that far anymore. and was afraid I couldn't make it to the concert by walking. I refuse to let anyone know how screwed up what's left of this body. Just want to let them know, your fucked regardless, you are, I am and everybody that wants free stuff is. I'm outta here, just felt bad the Goo Goo Dolls had to stop by here to fulfill contact BS.
