In case anyone is wondering, I've been parking my bike under the same Weatherall that I bought in 2013, in Alberta, from March to October, for what is my 8th riding season with it this year in 2020. The thing is insanely good. Almost zero UV fade after all this time, no water leakage. A majorly good investment.
@@insanedb mine collected moisture (when parked outside on concrete) and formed mold all over the soft fuzzy underside of the cover within the first year
Thanks for the info Ryan but I already bought a good motorcycle cover for all seasons. Now what's missing is an actual motorcycle for my brand new motorcycle cover.
Omg, this is so helpful. To the point, no bullshit. Amazing. Thank you. I think one of the main reasons I shop at Fortnine is literally their youtube videos - gotta support a business that does such good review work!!!
One problem of motorcycle covers is... they sometimes melt when exhausts are hot, and usually you cannot wait until they get cold, so... maybe you should do melting tests as well? Like crush tests?
Saving up to buy a bike and my main concern has been whether I could get a decent enough cover for it as i dont have a garage so would need some serious weather protection. This video was exactly what I been looking for, thanks :)
One of the best covers for home or outdoor use is a VEVOR storage tent/cover. An ideal cover, in my opinion would have a bit of insulation and maybe a solar fan option to keep the air moving inside
I use and love the Oxford Aquatex cover. I bought mine for £30 it's available in loads of sizes, it gives a sizing chart on the bag, it's mostly waterproof, has an elastic base, and a strap to hold it down. My medium one fits in my Fazer 600 (FZS) and my GSXF 600 (Katana) plus they last well. I know of people who use them in all weather's to protect a bike, and get 5 years of use from them, before they have any problems. I would consider the Oxford stormed cover too, but that's about £55 to buy.
@3:54 thats not a “port” for a disc lock, those holes allows you to run a lock over the cover and through the front wheel. This not only secures your cover from flying off and keeps thieves from lifting the cover off by just unbuckling the straps, it also allows you to anchor your bike to something while keeping the cover on 🔥
for anyone trying to save some cash: that "compression bag" can be bought at any army/marine surplus store. we use them for our sleeping bags. trust me, it works. a winter sleeping bag is, for lack of a better term, extremely fucking fluffy. those sleeping bag sacks hold them down very compactly. if you live near a base or find one online, buy it and use it with any tarp you buy. itll make life a lot easier.

I've owned three of the Nelson-Rigg Deluxe covers, they're fabulous. Large works for both my Yamaha Seca II /XJ600S and my wife's Suzuki Savage. Medium was perfect for her old Honda PCX-150 scooter. I think most sport bikes and standards would be good with a large, medium maybe for small ones. Big cruisers and sport touring, XL. Great cover!
Been keeping my Dl650 under an R&G Adventure all seasons, for one year 🤣, in a valley so the wind has ripped the seam cover off but it's still water tight, Nice. wet knee's releasing buckles suks, but windy city approved 👌😂
I have one for my k1600 it lasted 4 months in fl sun before it ripped. My last cover lasted 8 yrs. UV treatment of some kind would be a plus for this cover.
I'd take the Dowco Guardian Weatherall Plus in that case. They have a few special sizes made for bikes with top boxes. You could do the Nelson-Rigg Deluxe too (because it *is* a better travelling cover). But make sure to order one size up, and expect that it will leave your rear tire hanging in the breeze. ~RyanF9

The Nelson-Rigg Deluxe All Season comes in alpha sizing (M, L, XL, etc.). I would *guess* that a large will fit your bike best, with the top case on the back. Of course it's not going to reach the ground very well at the rear. ~RyanF9

Depends how much you want to spend and where you keep your bike. In the garage? Go with the Nelson-Rigg Deluxe All Season in 2XL. Ourdoors? I'd probably choose the Dowco EZ Zip in XL. As for dollars, yep, always Canadian. Hope that helps! ~RyanF9
