Yaldy was really easy for me as I flu grinded. I havent played p3 or 4 but im near certain Nyx is the hardest final boss in persona. And if not, its definitely the coolest one.
Yaldabaoth is easy tbh, just takes a while if you're under-leveled. Spent about an hour fighting him because the only SP recovery I had was the SP Adhesive 3 x)

Ozziw162 p4 was neat with that one song where its somber for like 3-4 minutes before rising up, but yeah p3 being mixed with melody for everyones soul with the opera lady is so strange yet it works amazingly.
P4's final (secret) boss was awful in its second phase. Its first was awesome, the music was amazing and Izanami's design was low-key badass. But its second phase... Asides from Izanami no Ookami's design, nothing was good. The battle was easy as shit (for a game I felt unjust at times), the music was not ther half of the time (and it was a shitty version of I'll Face Myself) and none of the attacks were memorable. For me, Persona 4 was rock bottom for the series, the music was very limited, the dungeons lifeless, the grind was real, the enemies were mostly unfair, the characters were uninteresting (asides from Kanji and Naoto) and to top it all off the final boss was a secret boss. I forced myself to complete it.
I actually think that P2 final boss theme is more epic because it sounds like you're fighting the ultimate evil possible. The squirmy effects just add on to the experience.

I kind of view of Persona 3 as a "midpoint" or "transition" phase. Theme-wise (excluding social links) it is aesthetically more fitting to 1 & 2, similar to what you said.
In my eyes persona 3 is the perfect "bridge game", the last one with very dark themes and atmosphere but also the one starting to plant the seed for what the series would become with the social links. Persona 3 is somewhat like the death and rebirth of the franchise, which is really fitting

I actually got him to inherit vorpal blade, megidolan, and gods fist he was by far my third strongest persona next to messiah and Orpheus telos despite being a whole 20 levels under them lol
he was the one I worked the hardest to optain, second to Messiah and *GOD* it felt good making shadows "Die for me"! with the mercifull Deathgod having my back

TFW everyone is raging about the Nyx boss battle while I decided to spend the game grinding and ended it at level 99 where upon reaching the Death Arcana phase, I merely switched to Helel and had Satan as well so I Armageddon'd it and won without effort.
This song does a great job at making you feel like a badass, as well a feel like the whole fate of the world is on your shoulders (which it is, lol). Also, gives you a good cry once you listen to it after beating the game a couple of times. Good, yet bittersweet memories.
Yeah and like it makes you feel ur going against a god that embodies death while it awaits for your fate and the heavenly chords too as if waiting for your death...

But at the same time, I then managed to pass the game the first time to the canonical ending, where Makoto dies. I dont playing this game in second time. Actually, Nyx is literally undefeatable. It's not that she is so strong that there is no living being that can defeat her. It's that she is an almighty being. If Nyarl, Phil, Izanami, Yald, Enlil were born from human thought Nyx isn't like that. There is literally no way for her to die/be defeated. That's the only reason Minato died in the end. Sealing Nyx was a workaround since there is no direct way to defeat Nyx. Otherwise, Minato would've defeated Nyx because his power level was insane at that point(stronger than Igor, Philemon, Nyarlathotep, and equal to Maki)
I mean she IS death, you can't defeat a concept that HAS to exist. All he basically did was seal her away for a few hundred years or whatever, she WILL eventually come back. Which now that I think about it, could make for a really cool Persona game in the future.

P3 really needs a remake. controllable party like in portable, 4 and 5. Graphics to really showcase the beauty and terror of the dark hour, the same soundtrack, the P4 and P5 Personas like Izanagi and Arsene could make cameos like in 5 but that would feel a little weird. Updated UI maybe? I loved FES but I want to experience it in 5's graphics and fluidity
Tough thing about making the party controllable is that it would require a balance rework of the entire game. That's why portable is so damn easy in comparison.
Maybe rework the pacing and story presentation, reworked SL links as well as more scenes to really help sell the feeling of SEES members as friends rather than coworkers, and you got my money. This game and story deserved a facelift.

**Spoilers** This song would have been even better if it was used in a different fight that should have happened, hear me out. since Elizabeth falls in love with Makoto throughout the story of P3, she could have been the fight right before Nyx where Takaya was moving him and Jin down 1 floor. Learning of what might happen to him, she tries to stop him from fighting Nyx and enters battle with him. this battle theme would have been perfect for a fight between the party against Elizabeth. Since there would be a gap since the Boss fight would have to be easier compared to the Monad Boss version of her, the Monad boss could be Margaret since she is in P3P. This battle theme would be perfect for the fight against Elizabeth as it shows the Energy found in the first bit of the song, then at 0:52 it switches to the vocals used in the Velvet rooms theme showing the relation to Elizabeth. At 1:16, it switches to a lighter tone which would represent the sadness of what fate has dealt to Makoto, and her pain of having to watch him go. this theme was used perfectly in the fight against Nyx, and thank you Atlus for such a great game
I never played p3 or p3r, but I did play the other 2 games "p4g and p5r" and the protag never died, so I thought it would be the same for the p3 protag... I started crying.
I loved the part where the protagonist, Makoto Yuki said " It's personin' time" and "We live in a society" before default dancing in front of Nyx. I couldn't believe what Makoto Yuki said and shed a tear. Truly one of the games of all time

P3 was going to be the last one in the series if it didnt succeed so arlus took a large risk with it and it worked

TFW everyone is raging about the Nyx boss battle while I decided to spend the game grinding and ended it at level 99 where upon reaching the Death Arcana phase, I merely switched to Helel and had Satan as well so I Armageddon'd it and won without effort.

Never played persona, just discovered this OST and could listen it the whole day. Whoever created this is making me want to play those games.
Persona 3,4, and 5 are going to be ported to steam this year if you wanna check them out! They're pretty long games but I think its worth it

This song does a great job at making you feel like a badass, as well a feel like the whole fate of the world is on your shoulders (which it is, lol). Also, gives you a good cry once you listen to it after beating the game a couple of times. Good, yet bittersweet memories.

But at the same time, I then managed to pass the game the first time to the canonical ending, where Makoto dies. I dont playing this game in second time. Actually, Nyx is literally undefeatable. It's not that she is so strong that there is no living being that can defeat her. It's that she is an almighty being. If Nyarl, Phil, Izanami, Yald, Enlil were born from human thought Nyx isn't like that. There is literally no way for her to die/be defeated. That's the only reason Minato died in the end. Sealing Nyx was a workaround since there is no direct way to defeat Nyx. Otherwise, Minato would've defeated Nyx because his power level was insane at that point(stronger than Igor, Philemon, Nyarlathotep, and equal to Maki)
I mean she IS death, you can't defeat a concept that HAS to exist. All he basically did was seal her away for a few hundred years or whatever, she WILL eventually come back. Which now that I think about it, could make for a really cool Persona game in the future.

P3 really needs a remake. controllable party like in portable, 4 and 5. Graphics to really showcase the beauty and terror of the dark hour, the same soundtrack, the P4 and P5 Personas like Izanagi and Arsene could make cameos like in 5 but that would feel a little weird. Updated UI maybe? I loved FES but I want to experience it in 5's graphics and fluidity

Tough thing about making the party controllable is that it would require a balance rework of the entire game. That's why portable is so damn easy in comparison.

Maybe rework the pacing and story presentation, reworked SL links as well as more scenes to really help sell the feeling of SEES members as friends rather than coworkers, and you got my money. This game and story deserved a facelift.

I beat Nyx Avatar in my first try mostly because my party was around Lv. 85~88 (I have destroyed EVERY enemy on my path XD)
I beat him one try on hard mode. A level 99 mc with messiah and the fists from beelzebub helps a lot. everyone was like level 77ish.

This song would have been even better if it was used in a different fight that should have happened, hear me out.
since Elizabeth falls in love with Makoto throughout the story of P3, she could have been the fight right before Nyx where Takaya was moving him and Jin down 1 floor. Learning of what might happen to him, she tries to stop him from fighting Nyx and enters battle with him. this battle theme would have been perfect for a fight between the party against Elizabeth.
Since there would be a gap since the Boss fight would have to be easier compared to the Monad Boss version of her, the Monad boss could be Margaret since she is in P3P.
This battle theme would be perfect for the fight against Elizabeth as it shows the Energy found in the first bit of the song, then at 0:52 it switches to the vocals used in the Velvet rooms theme showing the relation to Elizabeth. At 1:16, it switches to a lighter tone which would represent the sadness of what fate has dealt to Makoto, and her pain of having to watch him go.
this theme was used perfectly in the fight against Nyx, and thank you Atlus for such a great game
