Ooh! Shiny! Nice - a definite improvement. (As long as the sound stays equally transcendent, you could upload with a pinhole camera, or a blank screen though.)
Hello :) Yes in this video, I just used the visual and then recorded the audio via pro tools and then synced them up in the usual way I would. In the Q and A video from yesterday though, I used the camera microphones of the Zoom q8. I think maybe in future I may end up using a lapel mic again as the room sound is maybe a bit tinny. Let me know what you think ;)
I was looking for information on the Zoom Q8. I assume you recorded on it, but I really would have liked to have known the setup you were using. Did you use the internal mics, did you use the XLR inputs, both? Speakers for the backing tracks, or direct input to the recorder? Your playing is good, but I really would have appreciated the info on the Zoom.
Hi Gary, on this vid I just used the Camera and took the audio from pro tools on the pc. Check out a video or two from the 'behind the videos' where I used the external mics and also plugged in a mic. I was getting used to new setups so the quality varies. Highly recommended the zoom though. Easy to use and can get some good results :)
@@davelocke thank you for the reply. Everything I've seen so far with this camera indicates that it would be good for recording playing my keyboard. With the XLR inputs, I can go directly out of the mixer into the camera, something I wasn't able to do before. So, yeah, thanks for the info and I'll watch the other videos. Great playing, but the way.
i have a eleven rack and a headrush pedal along with a focusrite 18i20 for my audio interface and i can route everything in to that then and using the focusrite as my line mixer for the channels
You have a new subscriber! You have feeling playing the guitar. Are you happy with the Zoom Q8? I think it's the best camera for musicians in the market. Greetings from Spain
Hello Daroan, thank you so much for subscribing :) The Zoom, so far, seems really cool. A big improvement on my last camera which was pretty bad. Definitely makes making videos so much quicker and less stressful as the wide lens means framing is much easier, plus the microphones mean you can make a video quickly :)
Nice playing. That guitar sounds really good.
Thank you very much!

Great playing, but the way.
Did you use the mic outputs from the Kemper and run them into the Zoom q8? Sounds great btw.
Thanks for commenting :) I didn't use the cam audio that time. Just ran the audio from the audio interface.
hey dave was that direct into the zoom ? for the backing and guitar? sounds great man i just got mine in
Hello. No I went via audio interface for sound as usual :)
i have a eleven rack and a headrush pedal along with a focusrite 18i20 for my audio interface and i can route everything in to that then and using the focusrite as my line mixer for the channels
