You got me going into doing audio editing on a doc film I'm working on. Your instructions are to the point, clear, and instantly useful. Thanks!
This channel deserves at least 130K subscribers and not 13K as is now. Please keep making tutorials, Jacky!!!
This is super helpful! Even a new content creator like me, who is not very tech-savvy, could understand it. The way you highlight the areas as you are speaking made it easy for me to follow. Thank you so much!
2 yrs later, and it’s still a great tutorials!🤝🏾

Thanks for making this video - audio is a major beast to concur! Got a question if you have time to answer it. We have a Rode MicVid Pro and we're a homestead. We're pretty new to RUclips and we're struggling a bit to find the best settings on our microphone for indoor and outdoor shots.
For indoor shots: Well. we don't have much furniture as we're building everything by hand. Our main issue is the echo in our house. Ofc the house is echo because it's nearly empty. Would you know what's the best setting for our mic for indoor shots to capture my husband's soft voice, minimise echo and not make my voice too loud?
Outdoor shots: the issue is that we're often far from the microphone, and we'd love to have clear sound even if we're a bit distant from the microphone. Also, we'd love to be able to capture more ambient sound in some shots like birds singing etc.
Any tips you can offer would really help! thanks in advance :)
Superb sir

Here's what I want to learn how to do in Filmore. I filmed my pastor singing a song with myself playing the organ. I want to take that audio put it in my Logic Pro software and add drums and bass to it and attach it back to the video. Is that possible? I would be no more good if that process is possible.
Great tutorial, Man! I have a very simple question, please. How do you compare this with a dedicated audio editing software like audacity, in terms of enriching one’s vocal?
Audacity is better🥰
@@JackyNguyen06 Thanks, Jacky! Much appreciated
@@JackyNguyen06 o
I want to help me i reinstaled app because it won't open the file..now is the same. It say something about older version
Really good explained.👍 Many thanks. Is there a key to balance more than two audiolines at once in a project? So the noise level isn't so high and low.🙉
Actually, Filmora is not a good audio editor though. If you want to adjust the audio level of multiple clips on the timeline, the only way you can do it is to Detach the audio from the video, then, look at the waveform on the audio track to adjust it manually. Another option is to export the audio and use other audio editors.
Ok 👋
How do you apply audio settings to multiple clips?
Dear Jacky. Can an audio be re-attached back to the video track after it has been detached earlier? Tq.
Hi Sir, how you added this rectangle shape at 10:51. Is it possible on Filmora X ?
thank you very much very help full john nottingham uk
ik that this is a pretty old video but, i did exactly what you said but i still couldnt hear my voice. idk why but pls tell me if there is something wrong or i am doing something wrong
good morning ...what should the background music volume be set to when doing voice over
That's what I was hoping he'd mention 🤷🏾♂️
Hey Jacky is this the best audio editor or can you suggest some professional audio editors
Filmora is a Video Editor, not a professional audio editor. To be honest, I don't know much about audio editors🥰. I also use Audacity, but kind of just basic things.
Hiya, Jacky!
Just wanted to ask if you know how to edit the audio by making it both left and right instead of the left only? I used a Gopro to take vids but sadly, it has only one side.
Cheers!

Hi Jacky. Great explanation. Good work. I have a question and would be glad if you can help. I have around 20 videos clips in my timeline. I want to reduce audio for all these 20 clips at the same time. Currently, I have to pull down the bar in audio for each clip. Is there a way to select all the video and bring down the volume. I am using Filmora v10.0.10.20
Yes. Find the Audio Mixer button next to render button on top right of the timeline. That will allow you to control the volume of your audio track.
@@JackyNguyen06 I mean audio in the clips. Not on Audio track. The videos I have on the timeline has voice and I want to reduce the voice on all video clips together. Happy to send you a screen shot and details if you have an email ID.
@@judeaustralia it is the same. Go to the Audio Mixer. You can also control the volume of the video tracks too.
how to you match the audio?
where are custom audio save sort of thing. like color
Love
Sir, i want to ask you some question, when i have recorded video using obs and i have multiple audio track, can filmora x recognise it?
@@zayith4587 everyone can use the word sir lol
Is there a way to adjust the volume for all recording clips on one line. I have multiple voice recordings added to my clips but they are all different levels. Want to know how to adjust them all at once?
yes. You can go to the Audio Mixer to control the volume of 1 track.
@@JackyNguyen06 is there not a way to do multiple audio clips or an entire line?
Jacky-My room is not treated as good as it should be so I hear background noise and my Sony external mic is not as good as my blue yeti. Can you tell me what audio software you would recommend to clean up sound? I downloaded Decript and the studio feature in this software cleaned up my audio VERY well. Does Filmora have an add-on that can do this?
The Audio denoise option is included in Filmora. You can double clicks at your audio file on the timeline, find the Denoise options and clean up your audio. I think it's good enough if you record audio in your Room.
@@JackyNguyen06 I tried that and it still was not good. Thanks!! Love the videos!
@@tolevelup if you are on Windows, you can try Audacity, which is a free and open source software for audio editing.
Can someone tell me how I accidentally changed my audio track to look like blocks instead of being pointy?
I don't know how I did it and can't see anything about it anywhere.
Nice RUclipsr
Hi Jacky. So this is editing. But what about improving audio or post?filmora isnt best for this is it? Thanks
With Filmora, you can adjust audio level, remove background noise, add sound effects, working with your EQ, Add Audio ducking, auto normalization. That's all!
Helloo Jacky. Wondering how to copy master audio effects or any other without copying all the others?
Hi Jacky, how do I fit the entire filmora audio music to my entire video clip.
Copy and paste the music file
How did you make your video in the lower right in 4:11 to be like that? Like 3d?
It's an animation effect in Camtasia - Tilt Right.
Is there a way to change the speed of the audio? Thank you!
yes, right click at the audio, select speed and duration.
how do i change my audio to audio sampling rate 48000 hz
can we flip the audio....?
How do u do this on MacBook
You are good at English
I want multi track audio edit and mix.
When filmora 11 come out? Do I need to pay 11 again if using your discount code? Thank you.
It is up to Wondershare. Normally, they will let us upgrade to newer version for free. But, I am not sure.
@@JackyNguyen06 When I got the filmora X, they said that we gotta pay to downgrade to filmora 9 or stuff but we still get updates for filmora X so.. I hope they make it good
1) If I detach the audio, can I copy it and paste a duplicate of it? Like, I want two identical audio tracks.
2) Do audio key frames only work for volume? Or can I do key frames and apply pitch and equalization effects only to certain parts of the complete track? OR, do I have to cut the complete track into separate clips and process each clip separately?
1. Yes. You can edit your audio when you detach it.
2. Audio keyframe works for volume only.
@@JackyNguyen06 1) So you can DUPLICATE the track?
2) Since audio key frames work only for volume...
Let’s say I have an audio track that’s 20 seconds, and I want to apply pitch only to the first 10 seconds. Can I SLICE the audio track in two, keeping these 2 clips in position, and process the first clip?
@@elliotrather730 1. Yes. You can add up to 100 audio track on the timeline.
2. That's exactly what we normally do.
@@JackyNguyen06 Thank you so much! And one more question and I won’t bother you again today:
After I slice up the track into shorter tracks, can I merge them back together again?
@@elliotrather730 Yes you can. Filmora (and many others) is a non-destructive editor meaning that when you slice the audio, the original is still there. You don't have to merge split parts, all you need is to extend it by click and drag the edge of that audio track similar to how you trim a clip.
Can you make a video explaining what's difference between your paid courses and free courses on youtube? And why I should buy your paid courses? Thank you
When you buy the course, you can learn all the lessons without ads as well as in a well organized order. Technically, they are the same. I also put some more downloadable resources in the course too. And most importantly, buying my course is a good way to support me🥰
Sorry I can't publish videos using Wondershare because my activity.
but echo not getting
that’s deadass rn
recently whenever i edit audio it just straight up doesnt edit it, i know im doing it right because it worked before but now any audio i edit doesn't even work. please i am begging anybody to help me with this im gonna freak the fuck out
My audio choices are greyed out - they weren't before, but now they are - can anybody help?
Hi Tina. Look at the beginning of the audio track to see if you happen to lock it or not?
@@JackyNguyen06 thank you! A computer reboot seem to be all that was needed!
activation key plz
Phát âm gần chuẩn như người bản xứ :V
The one thing you didn't address is how to clip sections of audio that you don't want to use.
lol i saw the vid and the first i see is a filmora 9 oficial trailer
He needs to give a better example editing audio in a movie.
do alll this advice the same even for films?
Filmora X..... Nice right?
Yes!!
Just get a laptop. Legit
i want sometimes to loop only sounds like the rain sound but when i finish the editing end up with 3 min video i want to loop it to hve 30 min but i always find a problem because you can notice the jump or the stop on every 3min. is there any solution for this ? i don't have this problem when i work on music only sounds 🥲🥲🥲
Jacky have you had questions about peoples music moving out of place when bringing in other edits? how do you avoid the music being moved out of place
Lock the music track. Or you can turn off auto ripple.
@@JackyNguyen06 the video and music are too seperate tracks. This doesnt stop them from getting seperated
is there help how to get rid of sounds on here?
why would you lowerbackground noise for whole video. what about an area. this is so lazy
Thanks
