No it didn't start in the 1950's. It started in the 1600's when the people who form part of our ancestry were brought to Cape Town as slaves by the Dutch. These people groups were brought from Malaysia, Indonesia, Madagascar, Angola, Mozambique, and East Africa. It was only officially recognized in the 1950's but that's not when it started. That's not even mentioning the Khoisan who also form a huge part of our ancestry, but were obviously not brought to South Africa as slaves, but were the original owners not only of South Africa, but of the whole of Southern Africa.
Obviously Charlatan the fraud wasn't looking for an actual explanation as much as he was looking for Tyla to say something so her words can be twisted so that those who hate her can have another reason to hate her. For months now South Africans have explained what it is to be coloured. At some point when you keep asking the same question over and over again after it has already been answered over and over again it becomes just a stupid question, which is essentially what Charlatan the fraud was asking Tyla.

Her smart management knows that if she is NOT seen as Black then the "appropriation of Black SA dances and black music genres topic" will ruin Tyla's future prospects outside of SA .

@@CheezzyAlfredo The dances and music genre are South African. Tyla is South African. The only people crying about the fact that Tyla is making South African music is black Americans who expect black South Africans to gate keep their own music from their own South African people. They go as far as lecturing actual black South Africans about blackness. I love the fact that black South Africans dragged them for it.
