I love the fact that you didn't mention all the usual "essential" apps that all the other shows mentioned. I really enjoyed this, thank you.

I love aText. Anyone who emails a lot this saves you so, so much time. Beautiful app. Cheap and effective!!!

As a long time user of textexpander, i love the app but don't like the subscription model as well. they do have a stand alone version at $45 but looks like atext doesn't everything i need for only $5! great recommendation

Mastering Fulfillment It’s pretty dang close to TE! I actually didn’t realize they still offered the stand-alone version. Thanks for that info.

I’ve tried Acorn, but didn’t like it very much.
I personally prefer and use Pixelmator and Affinity Photo; they both have many nice “bells and whistles”, but without being overflooded like Photoshop is, and their price is still quite affordable - Pixelmator is about 40$ and Affinity Photo is about $60 (but I’m not fully sure, I bought them in Euros so I don’t known the exact price in usd dollars). :)

Kinciyan 0717 Thanks! Yeah I’ll definitely have something about the MBPro. My next one I’m editing right now is about the iPhone though.

Serxhio Al Thanks! I currently use Screenflow 8 for videos and it allows you to do that for any video track.

Alfred has the functionality of both aText and pasteBot plus soooooo much more. I use it 20+ times a day. I’ve been eying Hazel but that price... Good vid

Oh, yes, good tip. I haven't thought about Alfred in a while... need to revisit that.

Everyday Apple Alfred is the 1st thing I install on my Macs. I save my workflow, text replacement, AppleScripts etc on Dropbox and voilà - it just works. Search google, Amazon etc without opening your browser. So much time saved - heck they should be paying me to say this stuff.

I've just downloaded it again for the first time in a few years. Looking forward to digging in. The feature list on their web site is 🤯.

@@EverydayApple1984 I know right? Workflows by themselves are mind-blowing. Being able to tie into Automator, AppleScript or bash scripts and do crazy things is so powerful. One feature I use a lot more than I thought I would is Clipboard Merging (being able to append a bunch of copies into 1 paste) as well as the clipboard history. I enjoy being able to type "a mac accessories" and have the browser open, go to Amazon, execute the query and give me the results - all within a second or two... so much content to make videos on ;-)

Actually there are zero viruses for Mac in the wild. There are some little annoying bits of malware and the occasional browser hijacker but no viruses. I've been running Macs daily for 11 years and never had a single infection. I run a computer repair shop and get Macs in all the time. In 15 years and hundreds of Macs not a single virus. I am completely against install AV even on a Windows based computer unless you are forced to by your employer.
