Ghostbusters Part 4 - Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a 2024 American supernatural comedy film directed by Gil Kenan, who co-wrote it with Jason Reitman. It is the sequel to Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) and the fifth film in the Ghostbusters franchise. The film stars Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O'Connor, and Logan Kim reprising their roles from Afterlife, alongside Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts, and William Atherton reprising their characters from the earlier films, with Kumail Nanjiani and Patton Oswalt joining the cast. Set two years after the events of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the veteran Ghostbusters must join forces with their new recruits to save the world in New York City from a powerful death-chilling adversary who seeks to build a spectral army.[6]
Following the success of Afterlife, Sony Pictures announced the sequel in April 2022, with Reitman returning as director. Kenan later took over as director from Reitman that December, while the rest of the cast reprised their roles on. New cast members including Oswalt, Nanjiani, James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind were announced in March 2023, with principal photography commencing that month and wrapping it in June. It is the first film in the Ghostbusters franchise to be released following the death of Ivan Reitman, who posthumously receives credit as a producer, while the film is dedicated to his memory and celebrates the 40th anniversary of the first film.

I love Ghostbusters 2! So I want something more like that. A Vigo like villain. To me GB2 is scarier than the original. The subway/river of slime, Janosz under the control of Vigo, Oscar on the edge of the building, Ray possessed by Vigo, the demon form of Vigo, etc But I'm pumped for Frozen Empire!

Bill Murray is 4 years older than me and when you said Legacy Characters and OGs, it kinda hurt. I loved the original one and what you're saying now is how I felt about the second one. Never watched any of the others afterwards. I might try to pick them up again. Great BOOKENDS by the way.

@@centrevezgaming4862 I'm a 70 year old woman and younger people have often called me an OG, especially when we're discussing things from my generation like the original Ghost Busters that may have come back around or sampled. Old Gangster has seemed to evolved to reference someone old-school or who was around when something originally came out.
I’d bet you was the only one in the whole auditorium with the basic popcorn bucket whilst everyone else had ghostbusters themed ones that they paid extra for.
As an old lady who grew up in the 80’s, I’m stoked that slimer is back. ❤

They add new tech to Echo 1 but they are not doing anything new? Ecto is a staple of the Ghostbusters. Imagine making another Back to the Future with a new car? No thanks! It wouldn't work.

the nooks are awesome. Hopefully they come to Walmart in Canada. Thank you for your take on the movie. I believe they need to move forward and stop relying on nostalgia. I am still going to see it.
I think negativity sells, specially today.. So I think he DESTROYED any enjoyment from it he could of had!? Cause he was so worried about finding something bad to post on yt for clicks.. NOT passion.. Just my opinion, but never listen to a reviewer who only gives negative reviews..
I’ve always loved the Original Ghostbusters & saw Ghostbusters II at the cinema in ‘89. This is like Stranger Things The Movie.
Maybe they just should of done a movie with the remaining original cast pulling them out of retirement especially at there age it would have been funny. Just a movie on its own not a follow up with Paul Rudd. I dunno

I just watched it and it was SO boring lol it had heart but it was just so low stakes (in the sense that I could tell there would be no sacrifices) and derivative
People complained afterlife didn’t have enough of the legacy characters and now people are upset they’re in this one more

I didn't like Afterlife at all, well only the return of Egon but that's it. So this will suck

I liked this movie & great funny moments. Just too many cast in it & it's all about Phoebes story. When Trevor could have had more seances with slime

From what I've heard and read, he HAS been known to be kind of an asshole to other people in the past. It's probably less "cancelling" and more being confronted with his misdeeds.
