  • Moho 14 is all about smoothness! The new Curvers and Compressible Curvers allow you to bend vectors and images in any way you want. Animate tails, hair, snakes, tentacles with easy and total control. But not only that. You can create several Curvers in one layer, Rig the Curvers with Bones and Smart Bones and even animate the Line Width of the Curver to make parts of the drawing thinner or thicker during the animation. Learn about Curvers and Compressible Curvers in this tutorial recorded by our Product Manager Víctor Paredes.

      @@formxshape 😂 programming a feature can be hard and take time (and in this case, all our features were developed by our amazing human team), but there's also a previous part that AI cannot provide so far, which is having an idea and thinking about every detail and steps on how that idea could get the result you expect, with the performance you expect and keeping things as simple to the user as possible. When we develop Moho, a big part of our time is dedicated to that part too.

    Hey Victor, is there a way to control the brush behavior for the strokes, that are being deformed - the length changes, the brush stamps dis/appear uncontrollably, as seen in 7:05? Not clear how it behaves, if there's any kind of FirstVertex concept as in AFX masks/shapes, and if it is similar, then how to control it.

    • @mohoanimation
      @mohoanimation  Год назад +2

      This happens in entire segments that share the same stroke. Usually is less noticeable unless, like in this tutorial's example, you have a thick uneven stroke. A technique to avoid it would be to paint the stroke as separated segments, that way each segment will be adjusted separated, without affecting each other.

    • @nailsNhammers
      @nailsNhammers Год назад

      @@mohoanimation thanks, for the idea! However, wouldn't that overcomplicate entire rigging process, as now we will have to set up a bunch of strokes, instead of one continuous? Besides, even for a separate segment, do we have any control over where those stroke stamps pop-up/die-out as its length changes? Like, Reverse Curve Direction without re-drawing vectors anew?

    I love it!!. Just one thing... I think MOHO should have a tool to duplicate limbs including bones and bone actions. I use a script for that but I think it's time for MOHO to add that because it's something fundamental and used all the time.

    Great feature, thanks! Is it possible to bind ends of the Curver to a layer or a bone for example? I have a dog rigged and it needs a long leash attached on her neck, and other end is a rigged person holding the leash and can't figure out how to rig the leash so both sides of it is locked or bind. What's the best way to do it?
    Thank you so much.

    • @mohoanimation
      @mohoanimation  5 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely. A Curver works in the same way a vector layer does. You can bind its points to bones, link the layer to specific bones or rig it in any way you want

      @@mohoanimation Wow thank you! Does the Curver layer need to be on the same layer as the dog or how can I go about having the curver layer on separate group than the rigged dog bone layer?

    Can it work on layer group?

    • @mohoanimation
      @mohoanimation  5 месяцев назад +1

      Curvers can't affect groups, but you can apply the same curver to all the layers inside of a group. Just select all the vector or image layers in the group (Hold Shift and click to select more than one layer), open the layers properties window (using the three dots button on top of the layers window), go to the Vector or Image tab, there select your Curver as Warp layer and press OK.
