If you are doing albums you MUST do Operation: Mindcrime by Queensryche. It’s a concept album with a story that progresses from song to song. Not to mention it’s considered one of the greatest heavy metal albums of all time.
Came here for my 15yr old son who was devastated by this young man's sudden death. I'm 37 and still trying to wrap my head around today's "hip hop" but I must say, I'm highly impressed by this album. Great review!
I totally understand why you hated "Going Down" lmaoo but I absolutely loved it, the crazy switch up of his voices is what a lot of people like about him aha
xyungx definitely you can tell he was having fun long live x man im still don't believe its been a month im like stuck in a numb stage rn tryna release and come to terms with bros death
D J his last song on this album gives me chills... we will get past it don’t worry, like he said we have to continue his legacy spreading love and positivity.
What every reaction channel should be. I'm so tired of ppl hopping on youtube just to make money. It seems like y'all are enjoying yourselves with every genre of music and taking the time out to give EVERY artists a chance. Hate these "reaction channels". But, y'all have changed my mind about them.
They’re the only reaction channel I watch! They also have a knowledge of music - especially hip hop and rnb - that gives their critiques some credibility
X ones said in an interview that “At times you gotta let the kids have some fun”. When you said that going down and $$$ didn’t add anything to the album m, i would argue they are there too lighten the mood after some of the more heavy songs. Just my thoughts.
45:45 they said he’s still young and had time to improve. I really wish he ended up having that time bc he could have changed so many more lives in a positive way than he already did
To many of us And showed the rest of older artists that thought younger people can make great music and inspired other people They judge xxxtentacion for his age and none of them given pops only after his death you heard kAnye kcole be the biggest fans of xxxtentacion when they couldn’t never said his music was lit
You nailed it. Not that this means anything but I'm a 36 year old white dude. I was a huge nirvana fan learned to play all Kurt's songs and it was so much more than music. When he died it was like the world did too. I found x and was a instant fan the kid was a genius and he had the raw emotion like Kurt . Sorry such a long comment rip xxx
1) i fully respect you for taking your time out to record and edit a full album review, a lot of hard work goes into that and you deserve recognition for the length of this!! 2) i love the detail you pick out and how analytical you are on the lyricism, not only on this video but on every video. A lot of channels will pick up on beats and flows, but you pick apart the lyrics and find their deeper meanings and i love that. - And finally 3) the range of music you cover is incredible, you sway through music genres and give a fair, non bias opinion which i find very humble. Respect to you guys 💪🏼
Damn y'all actually where honest in this video most reactions from people are fake. They love every song or hate every song which is most likely not how they feel. But y'all actually spoke you peace and had a great way of understanding his album. Keep it up can't wait to see y'all hit 1 million subs.
10:43 in an interview, a year before this album came out, X said that he feels like he’s from the moon. The moon is the “mother” or “nurturer” And X’s entire career in music was rooted and aimed at nurturing & soothing the souls of depressed people. I think he’s saying “moonlight” in reference to him basically being a light for the lost and depressed. And in the song he’s literally saying “why you tripping? Get cha mood right” so the song is just to make you feel good/happy I guess
I've always thought 'Moonlight' was about how X felt he was on another level compared to most of the people from the 'hood'. "Feel like I'm destined, I don't need no smith & wesson" means to me that he knows he is destined for great things and doesn't need to carry around a gun. Just my thoughts
rashaun walker Very true. Best reaction channel by far, no competition. Thank you, guys. I'm sure you guys started for fun, but you are making something big and revolutionary. Enjoy the future success.
this type of content is what makes me love you guys, extremely unbiased to the point where I start to rethink any other content content in the way they execute things like this, wonderful review- you guys are the only reactors that actually truly influence my opinion of music because of how you go about your reviews- x is my favorite artist and I still just enjoyed every second with the good and the bad
Couldn’t agree with you more! I’m also a pretty big X fan and these guys just does some amazing reviews. Some of the songs in this album I just really like for the sound - not the lyricism’s in particular - and some of them I just do not like. But the awesome thing about X is that he isn’t afraid to experiment and do different things. His melodies are always great in my opinion and the “unfinished” touch to some of his songs are awesome. That was what I loved so much about 17!
Man I hope these guys end up reviewing his album "17" that stuff had a chokehold on me in high school and I still listen to a lot of the songs today. Great album review here too!
I love how open minded y'all are to begin with even if he didn't have the instructions at the beginning of the album.. That's why I knew y'all were the perfect ears to review this project and looked forward to the review. I agreed 💯% throughout the album on each song review. Great job guys and for it to be the 1st full album review I don't think y'all could've start with a better project considering the diversity of it. Big fan guys keep it up! 👏
So I’m listening to this bc I wanna see people be happy and experience their emotions when listening to his music. But I’m so sad. And when they’re listening to floor 555 and bring up the quote “shoot at me I best die” I had to pause and take a break cuz damn....
RIP xxxtentacion!! Gone but you will never be forgotten your music really does speak to our generation more then people will ever understand. Truly an amazing artist.
Definitely just many people older artists they never show love to their music because they thought because he was 18 years old was a problem for someone to create great music
Absolutely loved this review, best one I've seen hands down. You guys basically took said everything that was going through my head listening to it. I appreciate and respect his versatility and the fact that he has an eclectic music taste. You can hear the influence of pop arena rock, (Coldplay, 30 Seconds to Mars) 90's to early 2000's pop punk (Blink 182, Simple Plan), can even hear tinges of Radiohead like sound in songs like 'Numb' . He definitely does have a knack for melody, he knows how to ride a beat, it seems to be something he does quite effortlessly. Moonlight had this video game, childlike melody to it that I quite like. You can definitely see the influence of meme culture in his music the same way you can hear it in the likes of lil yachty and lil uzi (though I'm not comparing them because I think X is more rounded in terms of versatility and what he can do then they are) but he's showing us how easily he can imitate that mumble rap sound as well. The trap soul sound that you hear from the likes of PNB and 6BLACK are in the album too. The track with Joey had that dope classic 90's hip hop sound that most of the traditional hip hop heads like myself would enjoy. I agree so much with Ryan's point about 'Sad', the juxtaposition of having really melancholy, dark lyrics over a quite jovial beat. That reminds me of songs like Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye blind (no similarity in sound but that same jingle like format with dark lyrics). I also liked Schizophrenia because I feel it captured that instability of emotion and internal struggle perfectly. Overall, I agree he did a great job with melodies and capturing emotion with most of the songs ('going down' and '$$$' were straight trash lmaoo not sorry). But yes the lyrical content is severely lacking and though production and versatility is great, that lyrical hole needs to be filled for me. Great review as always guys! xxx
I’m so happy you guys finally did an album review!! The amount of detail you went into was amazing. I would suggest though that if you plan on doing other album reviews you may want to find a way to condense everything. This video ended up being 55 minutes for a 37 minute album so I can only imagine how long a video review for a full length hour long album would be lol. Great video guys, I hope you can do a video for Bobby Tarantino II by Logic!
i really love the type of insight and depth you guys go to identifying and analyzing the music. you never miss a step or bar or punchline, (almost never), and i believe you guys are probably the best reactors on youtube. i'd love to sit down with you guys and vibe out, smoke one, and have an intelligent convo with both of yall one day
Karen Sarai they got the best reviews because they got insight and review each line and the meanings and etc... The rest of the people just watch the whole thing and say if it's good or not
Dope seeing someone actually review the whole album without skipping around to slim it down to 10 mins. I enjoyed the diversity of this album, as someone who produces Edm, plays guitar and piano and listens to everything from classical to metal to rap it's nice seeing diversity from one artist. I think you guys should review "What so not" new ep. Would definitely bring a new fan base to add to your already growing one and help expand the genres you cover , like this album has proved diversity is dope when achieved correctly
That lyric you read if you shoot me I , best die, very sad since that is how he died. I hadn't really heard of this young man, but he seemed to be very interesting
C Berry That's exactly what I thought. It used to be a hard lyric, as in, if you shoot at, I better die, or you're going to. And unfortunately, its now sad because of the turn of events.
“Feeling good? I’m feeling great, tired of the fucking hate, stacking cheese all in my plate” he’s basically saying that he’s not sad he’s tired of the hate and he’s basically saying that we should appreciate the fact that we living good, we’re eating (stacking cheese all in my plate)
conchi sempai suzumaki Cheese can also be a metaphor for money in my opinion so he’s saying he’s stacking money, which also suggests living a good life
im going through the comments and i love that so many are liked and replied to by these guys. awesome reviews and keeps up with their fans. #1 music review channel no doubt about it.
I’m here 2 years later reminiscing of when he was alive and I would go through all the reactions whenever he dropped an album. I’m really sad rn and I miss him even though he didn’t know me, his music had a great impact on my life. Rest In Peace young king 👑 RIP Jah
Jeff Horton I feel like one of the saddest parts is that he’s never going to be able to see his son. He knew he was having a son , but never got to see him.😔
Cuz x knew the difference between something that would get a lot of listens and songs that mean a lot and 17 had more songs that mean stuff and this is almost half and half but you have to look into his past and the lyrics to really understand him
So sad that he pasted. Such an amazing person despite his past. He changed into such a good person and I believe that if he was still here and could actually put out music himself that he would be onto such amazing things and would be insanely big. Statistically he was on the path to being as big if not bigger than Michael Jackson. R.I.P LLJ
Best reactors/reviewers on RUclips man. I love this album, but all I've seen is people either dick ride it or hate unfairly on it. You gave a fair, logically, sensible critique on it and in my opinion, that makes an album even more enjoyable for me when thinking about different aspects of it. Keep up the good work guys.
y’all need to do a podcast imo. just even discuss music in general and get guests, as well as upload the audio from this stuff. much love you guys! love the hustle and what y’all do. tesseract - nocturne :)
Coming back 6 years later, X was a artist in his own way. He was a broken hearted person with a lost soul. All the sound came from his heart, he sounded how he was feeling, he could be lyrical if he wanted, but its raw emotions on the track.
The person that I most relate to in this world is xxxtentacion because we’ve gone through such similar things and have some of the same mental health disorders. 17 and ? Are everything to me 💯
Love this review and also the comments. You guys really do open your minds to his music and you help those who don’t listen to him, understand his music in a way. Also it’s amazing to see people that don’t listen, enjoying his music and leaving positive comments. Love u guys!
This video was perfect timing for me. I've been thinking of starting my own RUclips channel where I focus on metal album reactions just like this. It was fascinating to see how you handled the long format and I was curious how much of the songs you would edit out. Great job on this first attempt and I will be following you closely to see how your album reactions evolve. Thanks guys!!
Wooooo just finished the video and I must say this Album reaction/review was really very well done you got hilarious moments like 23:56 "Catnip for Old Heads" 27:13 "George shutting down Ryan for using words like terrible" Ohhhh and my favorite 27:22 "BASURA" Lmfaooooooo. You gave great takes and insight for each record especially the knowledge bomb around 35:54 facts man you gotta have an ear for those types of songs for business because industries aren't always for the music but for what's hot and what can sell. I thought this album was like how you see that one person mix the sodas at the movie theaters ad this just was a mix of a lot of genres man. So great job on this first album review and I can't wait for the next one fellas.
The album really just reflects himself as a person, really all over the place, kinda crazy, still finding his own way. I was so excited to see where he was gonna go with his music and his life, pissed me off when he was killed. He definitely had a lot of really good moments and his music helped a lot of people through hard times, he was just relatable like you guys said. this one hurts rip X
you guys have impressed me with the reaction you took the time to say what you thought about him instead of first glance and say its not good instead you gave it a chance obviously some recommendations from the viewers, all im sayin is you did awesome
I like that you still run your channel like a small channel. Your videos don't have too much production and it feels like I'm part of a community. Clean, honest videos only here; happily subbed.
The whole point is that his music being "fully fleshed out" isn't what he's tryna convey, plus that is his song being completed, I strongly believe thats the point of the track, I feel having the view that its lazy is the wrong way to look at the track, he's very unique in the sense that he can do so many genres, I highly doubt with the production of this album that he just "decided not to finish it"
swaP then he should try to actually write a complete song instead of a glorified snippet. Like I said, that’s just fans making an excuse for poor songwriting.
ploob man he actually said a long time ago he hates making songs long in any shape or form because he feels that after 2 minutes you start to get bored, just addressing if you’re talking about the length of the song
Shane Brummerloh is he being serious with that? Tons of artists make songs 8+ minutes that I can pay attention to consistently. That is probably because they have great songwriting skills. He must have a short ass attention span if after 2 minutes he’s bored of a song. It’s fine if that’s his vision and all, but to me it’s just lazy songwriting, and while he may have some catchy music, clearly it shows he is a lackluster songwriter since most of his songs don’t really “go” anywhere at all.
Yo I love your channel guys. I love how you are able to not just react, but y’all talk about the feeling, the vibe, the key elements of every project you review. Lost in Vegas is one of my favorite channels of all time

Honestly dude, I liked this guys it’s the first video I’ve seen. They take everything and inspect it to the finest point in detail.
Some people are biased because they know the artist personally and kinda don't want to offend them or convince themselves that every song is great.

RIP to X hope you guys do another song to pay tribute to him. Damn gone at the age of 20 that’s sad.

So I’m listening to this bc I wanna see people be happy and experience their emotions when listening to his music. But I’m so sad. And when they’re listening to floor 555 and bring up the quote “shoot at me I best die” I had to pause and take a break cuz damn....
Kaylene Jenkins and the last song on his last album was basically a prayer..
Jacob Talamantez Ik dude :((
I mean he kept asking for it he always talked about dying and tried to start stuff with people it might sound messed up but he brought it on himself
@@salvador3828 what did he start? dude only ever got in to 3 beefs which he never started any of them LMFAO😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
He overdosed, he didn't get shot, can people get their facts straight
RIP xxxtentacion!! Gone but you will never be forgotten your music really does speak to our generation more then people will ever understand. Truly an amazing artist.
Kyle Frazier tons of artist are copying him as we speak
Mose Schrute and he copied others. nothin in hip hop is completely original
Torey D'Shaun what artist did he copy?
dylan cabler Travis Barker, Beetles, Tupac, Biggie, a lot of new age rappers, etc. Nobody in hip hop or any other music is completely original
Great review as always guys! xxx
I don't hear radiohead in dis shit tbh
Like x said about this album: This álbum will be easy to catch the vibe but will be difficult to understand the meaning. He is a legend. LLJ
Great video guys, I hope you can do a video for Bobby Tarantino II by Logic!
i really love the type of insight and depth you guys go to identifying and analyzing the music. you never miss a step or bar or punchline, (almost never), and i believe you guys are probably the best reactors on youtube. i'd love to sit down with you guys and vibe out, smoke one, and have an intelligent convo with both of yall one day
💯
Lost In Vegas whaaat thanks for the reply y’all! Keep doing y’all thing
i just wish they really knew about his art and the way he did things with his music
It would have made them bias if they did and therefore not give a 100 percent honest review.
@@MrC4music If they gave him a good rating it can still be honest
I swear i hate reviews but everything you guys review i’m so agreed! And so entertaining to watch
Love from Mexico 🇲🇽
Thank you Karen!
Karen Sarai eres tan hermosa
Saludos desde Tijuana... no puedo creer que no sea el único mexicano acá 👍🏻
Gabriel Sanchez yooo that would be so so dope for you guys to do
This was genuinely an incredible review: understanding, open minded, critical, and positive. Thanks!
You should look up what he did to his girlfriends
Piezonuclear Luna you should look it up charges were dropped and he’s on record saying he didn’t hit his girl😂
CJ Who Would you look at that he didn’t respond
Piezonuclear Luna 🤡🤡🤡
I would love to see more of these! The length is no problem, I can listen to this like a podcast while doing work around the house.
Best reaction video on RUclips, hands down.
“Feeling good? I’m feeling great, tired of the fucking hate, stacking cheese all in my plate” he’s basically saying that he’s not sad he’s tired of the hate and he’s basically saying that we should appreciate the fact that we living good, we’re eating (stacking cheese all in my plate)
conchi sempai suzumaki Cheese can also be a metaphor for money in my opinion so he’s saying he’s stacking money, which also suggests living a good life
Or maybe stacking cheese all on my plate meaning getting money to try and get away from the hate
This bar did not need analysis bro...
cjc3of3 they were just explaining it because George didn’t understand the bar. Pay attention bro! 🙄
Liad Niv Exactly but that doesn’t necessarily mean you have a good life if you’re “stacking” that wasn’t really a good line for that song.
A REAL break down of X's album. Thanks guys. Always deliver.
Nice profile pic, Can't wait for the new DGD album. much respect :)
That profile pic though
DANCE GAVIN DANCE BABYY
So far i really like it, you're being very open with what you think of it, i like it
Stayed up till 3:30 for the first album review on the channel. Great content. Work gonna suck tomorrow tho lol
Holy shit, a whole album?!
#THINKFREENATION
im sure they spend more time talking about it than the actual albums runs
one of the best reactions ive seen on this album
Damn An hour of content ?!?!? Hell yea
THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR! BIG THINGS HERE IN VEGAS!
Rest In Peace Jahseh Onfroy. Still can’t believe he’s gone
im going through the comments and i love that so many are liked and replied to by these guys.
awesome reviews and keeps up with their fans. #1 music review channel no doubt about it.
Thank you sir!
Getting my breakfast ready for this!!! Love from Australia
Mans why you eating breakfast at quater to 11
The hangover is real for a Monday.
smh chill, its almost 5pm.
Joshua Sovea 4:35 pm
I’m here 2 years later reminiscing of when he was alive and I would go through all the reactions whenever he dropped an album. I’m really sad rn and I miss him even though he didn’t know me, his music had a great impact on my life. Rest In Peace young king 👑 RIP Jah
R.I.P X... He passed way too soon... His music has changed my life. Right when he was turning his life around.. sad to see him go.
Thats the sad part bro
I love x
Jeff Horton I feel like one of the saddest parts is that he’s never going to be able to see his son. He knew he was having a son , but never got to see him.😔
Sincerely,to me your reviews are the best and the most in depth out there
Great job guys!
Sorry for my bad English
Greetings from France
I love how you guys interpreted x I hope he watched you before he passed 💔
Cuz x knew the difference between something that would get a lot of listens and songs that mean a lot and 17 had more songs that mean stuff and this is almost half and half but you have to look into his past and the lyrics to really understand him
Damn 55 minutes!? I'm gona need to grab some munchies then hold up I'll be back! Lol
Nice, full album review!
So sad that he pasted. Such an amazing person despite his past. He changed into such a good person and I believe that if he was still here and could actually put out music himself that he would be onto such amazing things and would be insanely big. Statistically he was on the path to being as big if not bigger than Michael Jackson. R.I.P LLJ
Great album review! Y’all are the best at dissecting each song with their lyric meaning. True definition of what a song/album reaction should be 🔥
💯
Wasn't expecting you guys to react to this, But i loved it !
Normally i hate itt when people pause it to much but you guy give good commentary love it +1
Best reactors/reviewers on RUclips man. I love this album, but all I've seen is people either dick ride it or hate unfairly on it. You gave a fair, logically, sensible critique on it and in my opinion, that makes an album even more enjoyable for me when thinking about different aspects of it. Keep up the good work guys.
💯
Straight. Up.
y’all need to do a podcast imo. just even discuss music in general and get guests, as well as upload the audio from this stuff.
much love you guys! love the hustle and what y’all do.
tesseract - nocturne :)
Coming back 6 years later, X was a artist in his own way. He was a broken hearted person with a lost soul. All the sound came from his heart, he sounded how he was feeling, he could be lyrical if he wanted, but its raw emotions on the track.
wow y’all put in work
i cant believe that i just watched the whole video, its already 2:33 am and i have to go to school wtf am i doin with my life.... great video :D
Lol. Thanks brotha!
God damn it I'm in the same boat
Numb is one of those songs where he didn't have to articulate his feelings lyrically, u just zone out and FEEL it.
Literally. The lyrics didn’t convey the feeling of loneliness the melody and music itselfade you feel it
This one has that 90s feel to it
Rip Xxxtentacion
The person that I most relate to in this world is xxxtentacion because we’ve gone through such similar things and have some of the same mental health disorders. 17 and ? Are everything to me 💯
Im WavvyAF I feel yew 1000 % Bro
Im WavvyAF something I've noticed about X and Bones is they never care about what they say and they will do whatever it takes to sound original.
You are absolutely not fucking wavy
Hollow Aquarius I feel you on that man 💯
Michael Sabsabi I definitely am rn 🙂 💨
Love this review and also the comments. You guys really do open your minds to his music and you help those who don’t listen to him, understand his music in a way. Also it’s amazing to see people that don’t listen, enjoying his music and leaving positive comments. Love u guys!
This video was perfect timing for me. I've been thinking of starting my own RUclips channel where I focus on metal album reactions just like this. It was fascinating to see how you handled the long format and I was curious how much of the songs you would edit out. Great job on this first attempt and I will be following you closely to see how your album reactions evolve. Thanks guys!!
Scott McCumber go ahead do it:)
We really appreciate your awesome feedback Nate AS ALWAYS!
I did a double take when i saw this was 55min long 😃 so awesome guys keep it up 👌🔥
I'm glad people like you exist. The world needs more people like you, both of you.
Thank you for your raw and honest opinions . You are amazing . You are capable of more than you think
I WAS WAITING ON THE NOTIFICATION FOR THIS VIDEO I SWEAR ‼️‼️‼️‼️
A full album reaction? I'm gonna enjoy this. First time listener for this album too
“The kids how old? 19? He’s got ages to improve and he will” ouch, rip X
The last part of Floor 555 is my alarm clock in the morning. Haven't missed a day of school since.
Adolphe L. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Loved this ❤️ you guys are the best reactors honestly. Really open minded review. I appreciate the work :)
Salute!
you guys have impressed me with the reaction you took the time to say what you thought about him instead of first glance and say its not good instead you gave it a chance obviously some recommendations from the viewers, all im sayin is you did awesome
I like that you still run your channel like a small channel. Your videos don't have too much production and it feels like I'm part of a community. Clean, honest videos only here; happily subbed.
Catnip for old heads 😂😂😂😂😂 George you crack me up 😂 Some I liked better than others. But I think the disjointed songs present disjointed human emotion
Sandy Lewis I think that’s a way to let artists get away with not writing fully articulated and fleshed out music. An excuse really.
Lost in Vegas is one of my favorite channels of all time
Hands down the best reaction to his new album!
Omg! I went nuts after seeing this! Anyways. You guys should react to Tyler’s “Flower Boy”. That album is pure gold
I love the way y'all give your honest opinions
