    I have watched dozens of videos. Yours is the best self explanatory one. You rock my friend!! I will do 3 things differently. I would not screw the indispensable tool to the floor of the oven so as not to hurt it. I would star the setting the bricks frim the door to the back so as to get perfect symmetry of the lay out. I would not be so careful with exact half cutting because the rough part goes outside and then insulaiton and a final rendering is required

    I am a builder with 25 years of experience. I have a few comments about your construction. First of all, why don't you make bonds between the bricks, you start with the entire brick, the next row from the middle of the brick, which will significantly improve the stability of the structure. On the road, you build the furnace dome from the broken half of bricks, turn the brick so that the fractures are between the bricks, inside and outside you will have factory cuts, which will improve the aesthetics of the structure. The last remark concerns the furnace floor, which you should secure with some boards on which you would walk during the laying. besides, I really like the idea itself.

    • @DanielDemir
      @DanielDemir  4 года назад +1

      You are absolutely right. I am actually adding some insulation soon to the floor. I didn’t think that it would be that much heat loss from the floor. Thanks

    • @jcalvolaubli
      @jcalvolaubli 3 года назад

      There is no need for insulation when the oven is for family use.

    • @son-of-a-gun
      @son-of-a-gun 2 года назад

      I wanted to comment that too. Adding insulation UNDER the bottom slab will indeed reduce heatloss a bit, but heats up the rather thin concrete bottom slab even more so it will crack.
      The concrete bottom slab should be 5-6 inches thick with steel netting. Bottom insulation crushed glass and/or perlite/or expanded clay pellets (leca) on top of the concrete slab.

    again, i like the design some of the elements are off / wrong and will be failure points in the future beyond that you do such an excellent job detailing whats going on without making it drag and grind . . . the failure to cant that first set of fire brick manifest itself as the dome came up, all those 'vertical' firebrick you place will fail so much faster than had they been set properly . . . same with the flu . . . if that is regular cinder, it'll melt, deform and crack out so much faster than proper flu brick. . . i did love the frame up and use of material though more of a full brick design is very cool to see unfold, i'll be interested to hear how it burns in and to see the first couple fires from it :)

    what wood did you make the entry forms out of? did you make the little chips for the dome construction or just use pieces that chipped off as you made the 1/2 bricks? what length of wood supports did you use to support the dome bricks? thanks!

    • @DanielDemir
      @DanielDemir  Год назад

      1. I used regularly pine/white wood for the mold.
      2. Yes, I just used the chips that chipped off as I made the 1/2 bricks. I also sometimes use my small hammer to make extra chips. You will need them a lot.
      3. The length of the support differs between each row. You start with small ones and need longer ones as you progress

    3. kubbede kullandığın tuğlalar ateş tuğlasımı yoksa her hangi bir tuğlamı

    5. işçiliğine hasta oldum.Ben de denemek istiyorum ama tırsıyorum. en çok kubble ile baca bağlantısı sinir ediyor beni. yapabilirmiyim bilmiyorum

    • @DanielDemir
      @DanielDemir  2 года назад

      Sorularinizi soyle cevaplandirmaya calisayim,
      1. Evet kullandigim harc atese dayanikli. Kil ve cimentoyu 1/8 oraninda karistirip atese dayanikli bir karisim elde edebilirsiniz. Veya da direk atese dayanikli harc karisimi satin alabilirsiniz.
      2. Kubbe ile baca arasini baglarken baca icin kullandigim kalibi 5cm kadar iceri dogru ittirip cikan kisim uzerine tuglalari yapistiriyorum. O siradaki tuglalari bulundugu yere gore tek tek kesip ayarliyorum. Ep 3 teki videonun 8. ve 11. dakikalar arasini dikkatlice izlemenizi tavsiye ediyorum. Kubbe ile baca arasinin baglantisi benim de en cok zorlandigim kisim oldu, dedigim gibi baca kalibini ice dogru itip onun uzerine tuglalari bina ederseniz kolaylikla yapabilirsiniz. Ilk siradan sonra zaten kolaylasacak.
      3. Kullandigim tuglalarin tamami atese dayanikli, ABD de fire brick olarak yani ates tuglasi olarak geciyor.
      4. Gunluk calismaniza ve kac kisi calistiginiza bagli. Biz iki kisi bir ay gibi bir surede yaptik ama hergun bir iki saat calistik ortalama, hatirladigim kadariyla. Iyi bir calismayla iki haftada bitirilebilir.
      5. Ben daha once hic tugla ormedim ve ilk kez firin yaptim. Eger eliniz ise yatkinsa hic korkmaya gerek yok. Denemeden ogrenilmiyor :)
      6. Tesekkurler. Sorularinizi umarim cevaplayabilmisimdir. Anlamadiginiz kisimlar olursa tekrar yazabilirsiniz bana. Kolay gelsin.

    Yada en dışamı kapi yapmali , cesitli örnekler var.
    Ama bi standart yok. Kimi icte kimi dista yapmış.
    Dogrusu nedir, kapinin fonksiyonu tam olarak nedir?

    • @DanielDemir
      @DanielDemir  2 года назад

      Merhaba,
      Kapinin pacadan once yapilmasinin sebebi kapiyi kapatinca bacadan cikacak isi kaybinin onune gecmek. Ama icerde ates yanarken kapiyi kapatirsaniz ates soner o durumda kapiyi en one kadar getirip dumanin bacadan cikmasi saglanabilir. En guzeli kapinin sabit olmayip hem bacadan once hemde bacadan sonra kapatilacak sekilde ileri gidip gelebilecek uygunlukta yapilmasi. Bunun icinde pacani icerden cikarken olan ilk kismi biraz dar olamli ki kapi orada durabilsin. Benim kapim ileri kadar gitmiyor bu yuzden mesela iceride uzunca bir sure buyuk bir et pisireceksem kapiyi kapattiktan sonra bacanin ustune bir sey koyup onu da kapatiyorum. Tamamen size bagli. Ayrica bacanin yukariya cikan kismina acilip kapanabilen metal bir kapi yapip isi gidis gelisi istenildigi duzeyde tutulabilir. Beni whatsapp tan ararsaniz yardimci olmaya calisirim. 1 dokuz sifir bir 6 bes 1 1 sekiz 4 dort.

      It depends on the weather conditions. If it’s above 70 degrees F, you should only wait 3-4 hours before starting next level. But for the lower levels, you don’t need to wait any. Also, if you use wood stick to support each brick while building upper levels, you still don’t need to wait to start the next level. I hope it answers your questions.

    It took too long to build the oven. The question is, isn't it easier, faster and lower cost to build a tunnel shaped oven instead of the domestic one? And which one is better in terms of performance?🤔

    • @DanielDemir
      @DanielDemir  9 месяцев назад +1

      I never built a tunnel one but tunnel oven doesn’t provide same performance as its flue gallery is at the same level as the oven ceiling. The chimney should be lower than the top of the oven ceiling to increase the thermal efficiency and heat retention. Also it’s always challenging to control the fire and cooking at the same time as the fire will br behind the cooking area. Finally, esthetically, I prefer traditional oven.

    • @DanielDemir
      @DanielDemir  3 года назад +2

      I would definitely add some insulation to the floor before building the the dome. Also, I would make my bottom and top concrete slaps little bit thicker. The bottom should be at least 12" and the top should have been at least 5". Also, I might make the door smaller in length, it is now 28 inches wide, I would do no more than 24".Other then that, everything went well and I am very happy with the final result.
