A year later and I'm still in love with this truck and super curious to know more about the engine combo
347 stroker on ALOT of nitrous
I use to see that truck every weekend at Dallas drag strip a guy named Pete owned it and drove it every day
Pete still owns it and still drives it regularly.
Badass truck, smallblk ford.love this truck.
@@jdatkins2309 does "Pete" on a black coupe my chance from Albany?
@@19jody72 no sir
@@scarletbegonias8157 Awe, did Pete hurt your feelings? LOL
He turned that sht up on that last burnout... Man, I miss those days when you see stock looking vehicles like that truck, running in NMCA Cheap Street class doing sht like that off the line...👍🏾
Cheap street, EZ street, PSCA limited street, those were real deal street car classes, this DXP street class is cool, but too loose on rules, too many full blown race cars in the class.
It's so unassuming and that's why I love it
What transmission are you running?
Bad little truck, love the mostly stock appearance 👍🏻
Pete is a legend
Pulling the wheels. Your hookin
Damnnn that Ranger hooks up,,,Zero tire spin,,,Nice little Ford
Sbf ???
i want to know who did the headers on it
I guess he does need that bumper
Would surprise the hell out of my buddy and his Camaro. I’ve only got a bored out 302 and been happy with it for 12 years but this is freaking awesome!
All that lil Ford wanna do is eat
Cool I'm working on mine 545ci and powerglide
I just want a v8 in my super cab for fun. These rangers are so cool. You can have an if swap. New swap or just anything between..and still haul a couch and work in it
Very nice build
Think he turned it up at the end of the night? Hellz yes
I have a 1994 Ford splash it's got a 4 cylinder in it like to put a turbo on it avesta V1 I like to make my truck do that and be street legal Jenna what engine should I put in that my truck for drag and Street PS?? I don't think my 4 cylinder to do that with turbo need help with that thank you very much God bless you Godspeed
That thing was at Street Car Revolution in Baton Rouge! It's a beast!
What an awesome truck. I sure hope to see it out at I30 Raceway in Caddo Mills when it gets going.
The guy @ 3:37 (look where the bed meets the cab) 😂
Pete laying the pipe down.
That nigga was OUT!
Do we know who the owner is?
Pete been racing that truck when Dallas was still open.
Savage ranger 👍👍👍👍👍
Didn't see his set up. As in what is under the hood. But I see on the comments. It is still Ford powered. I know everybody goes LS. And they do make power. But Ford Motors are more expensive to build. But man when you build them right. They sure run great. I am a true BLUE blooded Ford man. And this truck is very sweet. LS powered Fords are all over. And that is fine with me. But nothing beats a Pure Breed Ford Race car. They are very rare now and days.
I UNDERSTAND ITS WINDSOR FORD POWER
Wow, great video!
FORD power baby! (No, this is NOT swapped for LS junk)
You calling LS junk shows your ignorance.
@@mikeeagle2653 he must don't know!!! Lol it would probably be faster with LS
@@mikeeagle2653 Oh, but it IS junk.
16SS TTG clearly he doesn’t know shit. I can’t tell you the last time I saw a mustang at the track with a ford motor.
Fords are the most swapped car for LS motors. Kids still riding a bike
@@mikeeagle2653 Maybe ya'll should get out more. SBF won four of the heads up classes at this race.
Great video and Ranger, thank you!
Does anyone know what his combo is by chance?
4R70 transmission, 9 5 small block Ford plus Nitrous
Thanks, sorry about the chickens, that ain't right.
I want to see the engine! I have a 97 Ranger and I'm thinking about a V8 swap but I can't find any decent headers to fit. All the aftermarket "swap" headers for Rangers look like junk.
Best get a pair of generic swept back longtubes off eBay for like 100 bucks. Worse case you go to a local welder to relocate one of the tubes
You can use 67 mustang tri y headers. They clear everything just fine.
Id laugh hysterically if I was driving.
whats the build on this beast
Damn.. Just noticed no cage coming out back.. Unless he has it low mounted
It's inside the truck
Dang that thing runs good, the set up is great, made it look like a run to get some ice cream. Much Respect.
No ls it's ford power.
What class was the truck racing in?
Love this truck!!! Any one know specs or who owns it?
Ya Jmalcom, when you highlight a vehicle like this one, you should go into the pits and get some engine shots or get some specs from the owner. That would be great!
It's grudge racing, they show their engine
GearsandCrosses don’t have time to go to the pits all the time at this caliber of event, especially when I’m solo. I try to when I can though
peter rozinky
@@johngray6494 does he have a page somewhere. Like to know more .about it
Jmalcom what happened to ya boy that use to say “ they did him like dog!”
First on race day
Muffukin Ford moving
Just enough weight in the bed. Look like they may have slipped a few chassis tricks in on this one.
Anyone know whats the setup here. I'm saying turbo but my buddy Tony Hightower says its not.
I think it's nitrous
SPARTACUS literally says nitrous ford ranger in the video title
He was at my local track last season it was ls nitrous on hard tires.
@@edwardmccormick9225 This truck has NEVER been ls powered. LOL
@@jdatkins2309 351?
Why the little pull between the water and lights, just do your dam burnout.
It is an indicator of how good or bad the track is at that time. Then can adjust how aggressively to bring in the power.
