Moving truck hits 11foot8+8 bridge and leaves presents for bystanders

- On August 22, a moving truck turned left from Peabody St. onto Gregson and smashed into the canopener bridge. Apparently frustrated by this encounter, the driver decided to back out and keep going up Peabody, leaving behind some pieces of crash art for bystanders to pick up. Notice that some philistines just drive their cars over the crash art, before a true art connoisseur finally picks it up and rescues it. This was crash #186 since 2008.
Please do NIOT contact Miracle Movers about this incident. Thanks!
Okay I won't

Yeah, they know.
Uh oh
Props to the guy who actually got out and removed the debris
What a bunch of sheep
And to the second guy (pedestrian) who picked up the rest of the small stuff.
*gal
Shocking how many people just drove on top of it instead of stopping for a second and moving the debris to the side
Should be the standard. Insane how long it always takes for someone to pick the stuff up

astonishing true. These kind of wonder usually stick to Disney.
They raised the bridge. They responded with raising their trucks.
Love this one! Had me laughing real good 😂
And lowering truck-driver IQs
It’s a deadly arms race
Seriously the city raised their bridge by 8 inches so trucks would stop running into it. They made the monumental task of lifting train tracks 8 inches and trucks still hit the bridge.

Whoever got out of their vehicle to remove the debris from the roadway is a good citizen and a good neighbor. THANK YOU.
To the rest of them, running over metal with your tires is as bad of an idea as riding a truck under that bridge.
@@7heRedBaron I once blew a tire on a box truck from debris caused by a dump truck that had their back end elevated iirc. Didn't see the accident, but saw the debris and didn't avoid it. Rode on the tire for two days til a passing trucker noticed and we pulled off and called to get it replaced.
drivers are like this for some reason. maybe they're scared of being yelled at for getting out of their vehicle and holding up traffic? but i've seen a queue of cars just waiting to get through a parking lot when there was a shopping cart in the middle of the lane. they just queued and waited for the other lane to be clear to get around it 1 by 1. Any one of them could've gotten out their car and moved the cart in 15 seconds.
i swear people just become half braindead whenever they get behind the wheel.
@@LovableCoolGuy Yup, I was thinking the same thing. The drivers that went over the metal bit were in a pack of cars including a truck and road rage is a real thing so it's a lot more prudent for someone who won't block transit to stop and pick it up and not just the first driver that gets there.
The problem is that metal can damage anything not just type wheels. Imagine a small piece getting caught and damaging a brake line. That would be a nasty surprise down the road. You should never ever ever run over debris in the road purposely like that.@@eleSDSU
there's now a permanent food truck spot just down the street called "The can opener" . probably where all the bystanders came from when they heard the crash. Seems like a fun place to hang out.

And ... they are immortalized on video!
I think I heard the truck drive say the MF word. (You have to listen closely.)
Love the hesitation everyone has right before directly driving over the debris. Same mentality as those who hit the bridge. There’s gotta be some weird magic in the air under the bridge
I think people just get short-circuited by such an unexpected thing occurring to them during a normally mundane routine. Then when we see a fellow human just moving ahead blithely our herd instincts kick in and we do the same.
A lot of them were dealing with traffic piling up, not a lot they could do.
Perhaps it’s the same magic that exists in the air directly above open cans of paint.

Yeah, at least some guys with a brain. 👍🏻

People out here just running over metal in the street must hate their tires.
To be fair, there's a lot of pressure to not risk stopping in a line of moving traffic where you are likely to have horns blasted at you for holding things up--not to mention the danger of getting out of your car with other vehicles going past who don't care to stop.
@@Random_KelseyDon't give into to peer pressure.
No it’s because they’ve grown weary picking up crash debris over the years😆
@@Random_Kelsey Eh, at least the first ones that can clearly see it did not have as much pressure, since were coming from a dead stop due to the light, so likely cars behind them had little to no velocity either.
