Once again, another utterly stunning piece of video. These are without doubt the best videos of their kind, anywhere. It's always a treat when you upload a new video, as you actually rekindle my love of the railways of the past. Who actually would have thought that we would be misty eyed for the likes of HST's and Turbos, But here we are, many many years later and being just that. Superb stuff as always.
Embodies the first person experience -- the spirit of the Valenta powered HST probably more than any other video on youtube... Fantastic footage! Subscribed!
Just fantastic! Rekindles so many memories of days spent at the “old” Reading, long before it completely lost its character with the rebuild and the overheads. Your videos are a vital and precious slice of this countries railway history. You may not have thought that when you recorded them, but they show what we had back then, before privatisation ruined things forever. I’ll shut up now! 😂 I do hope you have yet more footage to share with us…?!
I do have lots more to come Darren, a special thanks to you for your interest in the channel and you are so right. At the time of recording as with my earliest sound recordings I thought as a young lad that this would be around for many years and unfortunately did not preserve them, thinking that I could re record them in years to come. What a mistake, but at least now I am preserving my material into digital format and uploading onto the channel for all to share and hopefully further securing their future....Many thanks again and best wishes....Mark

Possibly the ‘call technician’ klaxon operating from Reading PSB. Remote areas of Reading’s area had them but don’t know if the station area did.
