Thanks for this review because I placed an order for this device for my wife despite having a lot of questions if the phone will be compatible with google services and the official playstore apps. Your review was very detailed and beautiful. I've subbed your channel. I have one question though, does android auto work on this device?
@@dotunmakun Nope, android auto doesn't work with the cn version. I'm glad you enjoyed my review, and I'll try to be more thorough next time, to avoid leaving out details like this
If it has usb c type 3. It should support docks and cables to connect to monitors an tv. I do not want to see mirroring I want to see productivity enviroment on pc monitor. Please try to film movie about this. Thx
I've yet to see it go past 40°C, even when turning on "performance mode", a gaming option which warns you about potential overheating. The only noticeable slowdowns I've encountered so far are either tiny stutters when loading some of the more detailed areas in genshin impact, or whatever high rounds in bloons td6 can do to any device.
During the 3hour gaming, there was a 63% loss. Isnt that way too much battery drain? Also, in a normal usage with RUclips and Instagram as the major apps at work, how much battery drain gou observed? How much screen-on-time ?
You have to take into account that the gaming session was a stress test, where I played some very demanding titles at max settings for an extended period of time. It wasn't a battery test under normal usage by any means. To give you a point of reference, my old phone (Realme X3 Superzoom) would drain its entire battery in a bit over an hour under the same conditions (but with mid graphics settings, the poor thing couldn't handle more than that). To give you an example of a typical day, as I'm writing this, this phone has had 6 hrs 37 min of usage since it was last charged, and has 79% battery remaining. 26% of this time was spent on youtube, 17% on instagram, and about 15% on various games (Clash of clans, Bloons TD6 and Honkai star rail), with the rest being mostly attributed to spotify. Considering this, even though it doesn't say in the battery app, I'd say it's had about 4 hrs of screen time. I've never finished a day below 50% (unless I've forgotten to charge it the day prior).
The choppy bits are a consequence of my older phone failing to record at 4k 60fps. Fairly noticeable, since my hand also looks choppy, and hands aren't known to visually lag. My recording hardware is not the best, so I do what I can with what I have. Of course, there are things they will be improving in the coming months and years, just as HarmonyOS had to do when it released a few years ago; But they've nailed the smoothness of the UI from the get-go, and I hope it stays that way.
UPDATES:
[12:51]: It now switches cameras when zooming in and out.

There were some reports on having fogging in the back camera in Xiaomi 14 during a prolonged use. Did you notice it as well?
I haven't noticed anything like that so far.

I was thinking about what sort of things to show in a follow-up video and a productivity setup might be a great idea!
Have you noticed any heating issues or lag?

Besides those more extreme cases, it runs incredibly smoothly.
That’s great to hear! I’m sure with future updates the phone will be an absolute banger.

HyperOS seems choppy to me from this video. Maybe they will improve it to HarmonyOS level.

I'm sick of the sight of his nails and hands
It's ok to be jealous ;)
It looks like you were scared to use your fingers a little more aggressively because that's just gonna expose how choppy the UI is 😂
Thanks for the view and comment!
