  • What is Aquaseal? Aquaseal Water Based Silicone Sealer, is a non visable sealer used on building substrates such as concrete blocks, Oamaru stone, and pale coloured bricks.
Is Aquaseal safe to use? Its a class 8 corrosive goods, so certain PPE precautions must be taken. It is recommended that the operator wear overalls, gloves, safety glasses and a mask.
How to mix and apply Aquaseal? Mix at a rate of 1L of Aquaseal to 14L of water. Apply using a solo sprayer or similar, in a dribble type fashion, working two blocks wide, top to bottom. As it is corrosive, masking up aluminium joinery and glass is recommended. Also use a drift guard, as in a piece of corflute or plywood, against the sprayer to prevent any overspray. Another tip is use an old rag, one end damp and one dry, to immediately wipe down any overspray on the glass or joinery.
Where can I use Aquaseal? Concrete block, Oamaru stone, pale coloured bricks. Once it dries and cures it will be non-visible, and it will repel water and rainfall while keeping the look of your substrate or stone.
