I have collected recordings of variations and transcriptions of Paganini's 24th caprice since before I attended college (for more than 40 years). I have versions played on a tuba, a glass harmonica, drums, and even washboards and saws. I participated in the recording of a new-age, jazz version for a musical project at Cornell University. This performance on acoustic guitar is-without doubt-the most talented, pleasing and moving rendition that I have experienced. It is also remarkably faithful to the original violin composition. Considering the technical complexity of matching the many violin techniques and sounds on a guitar, it's clear that this artist is gifted beyond any words that I can find to praise her performance. Viewing and listening to this RUclips video is very uplifting. It is truly a great thrill. Thank you, Li Jie. You light up my life. You are amazing!

Nah, she ain't. She's pretty good, but nothing beyond that. Pretty shallow interpretation. She doesn't give it a romantic alla Liszt/Mendelssohn interpretation nor a Segovia-like purity achievement. She just play all the right notes in a good tempo. Nothing says best than the last 20 seconds of this video. Just bland, bland music. She never goes for a virtuoso-like feeling. But she's pretty good, I won't deny that.

One thing is for sure, master the classical guitar is way way more complicated than the electrical guitar, it requires literally thousands of hours of dedication, not so if you want to be a good blues guitarrist

This young lady outclasses most of the guitarists I have heard here in You Tube. She has a distinct technique and clarity in every single tone she brings up. I played capriccio 24 myself on both guitar and violin a couple of years ago. In several of the variations and especially the one with thirds and decimas as many otherwise simplify , Jie Li manages gallantly.

One of the most soulfull versions of this piece i ever see on a classical guitar. I am a heavy metal guitar player and know how challenging this piece is, i start working on it 3 months ago, but other than the most metalists, i try to play it clean, because distortion kills all the delicate parts. I watch this movie nearly one time a day, its wonderful how she play that.
That entire palm mute section is so amazing. I can palm mute but try doing it while finger picking, that's a whole new world of hard. Li Jie never ceases to amaze me. Seriously if not the best then very, very close to the best guitarist out there.
